- amalia (7/5): très bien. - la chambre est très bien organisée avec une petite entrée pour se déshabiller après une journée de randonnée.Le reste est très confortable. Le petit déjeuner était excellent. Les repas servis sont de qualité. le personnel était très prévenant. Il y avait un petit soucis dans notre chambre, elle sentait l'humidité. Mais il faut préciser que nous avons eu une énorme tempête au cours de notre séjour. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas deux fauteuil dans la chambre, qui est pourtant très spacieuse. Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de vue depuis les chambres.

Une mention spéciale pour le personnel exceptionnel, alors que j’avais oublié mes lunettes de vue dan la chambre après mon Check out, ils m’ont contacté et ont fait déposer les lunettes à El Calafate, soit à plus de 3h de route je jour même. Un geste que je n’oublierai pas! Idéal pour un séjour de qualité à El Chaten, je recommande vivement. Merci beaucoup Tout était parfait!

Easy walking distance to restaurants, bus terminal and hiking start points. It was missing some facilities you might normally expect in modern accommodation such as a TV or hangers to hang our clothes.

It was clean and rest everything was good except the number of toilets in each apartment We as a group of 12 people stayed in 2 appartments and for 6 people in each apartment has only one toilet attached which was really difficult and inconvenient to manage.

The room was designed in such a way that the only window looks out into the corridor so it’s quite depressing and you can’t even open the curtains without everyone looking in. The door to the room has a glass panel so a lot of light streams in from the corridor lighting at night so the room remains quite bright at night

Lovely reception staff were welcoming and pleasant throughout 4 day stay. I tried my broken Spanish, but they were happy to speak in good English. Breakfast was simple but adequate. There is a restaurant but I only had a dessert one night, which was lovely. There is nothing to fault.

The restaurant was really good and the staff know a lot about the wine and food served. It was overall a great value. When we come back to El Chalten we’ll definitely stay here again!

One room will offer you approx. only 4:30 of sleep as it’s right beside the entrance, underneath the bar and breakfast rooms and has, for protection, a wall thinner than paper. As such, you’ll hear everything, even the ringback tone of someone calling a dear friend of his, obviously without speakers. Consequently, I would recommend for hardcore trekkers that are happy going on multi days hike (our case), with a mere 4h30 of sleep in. Plot twist: we slept better in a tent underneath flitz Roy that in our room.

Really difficult to fit all of the luggage and clothes in, particularly as it was a wet day. Also the soundproofing wasn’t very good. The room was next to the kitchen area and so was woken up very early in the morning when they started work. Bathroom very small and window didn’t have adequate frosting so people could see in.

- Cannytraveller (8/5): Comfortable stay booked in an emergency. - Managed to book after discovering we had reserved the wrong dates at another hotel. Pleasant modern building. Unit had separate bedroom, bathroom and living room with kitchen. Quiet location about 5 or 10 minute walk from coach station and 15 minute walk to other end of town for start of Mt Fitz Roy trail. Complimentary drink coupon on arrival and on site restaurant. Breakfast OK but not great. Freshly cooked eggs on request. 10am checkout. Also only hotel we stayed at in Argentina that did not use official rate to convert dollar booking cost to peso. This increased cost by about 20% although still much cheaper than original hotel we booked.

We were given lots of advice on activities and hikes. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good We booked a suite for 4 but it only had one bedroom. The bedroom was very quiet but it was noisy and light to sleep in the living area.

I didn't have time to enjoy all the offerings because I was out of the hotel for most of the time. Oh i know, it would be nice to have a fridge in the room/apartment.
