Ideal for a solo traveller on a budget. - Good location near Gare de Lyon.No frills accommodation, but the bed was comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. Had a good bathroom mirror and a good hairdryer. It didn’t have tea making equipment and the check in was slow the evening I arrived.

We were only there for one night so although the room was small it was perfectly adequate and comfortable. It was spotlessly clean too. Room size would have been an issue if we were staying for more than 2 nights.

The shower water pressure was good. The staff were friendly. The rooms were small, I requested that our 2 rooms be next to each other, but they weren't, they were however on the same floor. There was no kettle in the rooms to make your own coffee/tea, if you wanted a coffee/tea you had to get it at reception.

Instead of a taxi the reception fellow ordered a black car-no meter who charged me far more than was acceptable but I did not have time to argue about it. I felt it was a scam. For this reason I wont stay at this hotel again. Which is more than a shame.

Mit einem Einzelbett wäre es OK gewesen, aber als Doppelzimmer viel zu eng. Der Abstand zwischen dem (Doppel)-Bett und Wand betrug nur ca. 25 cm.

Pokój duży, czysty z przestronną łazienką, łóżka wygodne, personel pomocny, śniadania dobre choć trochę brakowało jajek do przygotowania na miękko..... Dla pokoi na parterze na plus możliwość przygotowania herbaty przy recepcji. Nie mam uwag.

Le personnel est vraiment remarquable : accueillant, disponible et toujours souriant. La chambre était impeccable, très confortable avec une literie de grande qualité, et l’environnement est calme, ce qui permet de bien se reposer après une journée de visite. Le petit-déjeuner est varié et délicieux, avec des produits de qualité. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation et j’y reviendrai avec plaisir lors de mon prochain passage à Paris ! Rien

• John (4/5): Check your room for bad odour issue before checking in! - The room itself was clean and of adequate size for a typical Paris hotel. The decor was pleasant and the bed comfortable. Most staff were helpful and pleasant. Located in a street with little traffic, so potentially quiet. Walking distance to Gare de Lyon and Gare d'Austerlitz and even Gare de Bercy, as well as the Seine. Numerous cafés, restaurants and shops in the area. During arrival, along the street from the hotel I first encountered the pair of drunks/druggies who were a regular feature in the street each day at some time of the day or other. They were loud and obnoxious and could be clearly heard in the room when the windows were open. Noisy neighbours across the street, especially in the evening. Tiny corridor outside the lift. Noise from adjoining rooms and street. Needed the earplugs at night. However, the huge issue, one mentioned by some other reviewers too, was the incredible stench from the bathroom drains, particularly the shower. I had to put towels over the drains, leave open the bathroom window and keep the bathroom door closed and the room ventilation on (for positive pressure) to keep the smell out of the bedroom. In the morning I complained about it at the desk, where the cleaning lady was also present at that time. The staff member at the desk - proprietor? responded to my complaint rudely, unsympathetically and unhelpfully, in what can only be described as a tirade. Clearly it was a recurring issue and a real sore point. She went right off at the cleaning lady, but in my opinion there must be a plumbing problem, because a properly designed plumbing system does not permit odours to escape like that. I left the hotel unsatisfied and said I would be back in the afternoon. The cleaner obviously used a product and did a good job as the smell was 90% gone (thank goodness) for the next two nights of my stay. Nevertheless I continued to keep the bathroom door closed and ventilation going for the rest of my stay. I was going to just leave the hotel and find another if the problem had not been adequately addressed. So a very unpleasant first 24 hours. If staying here, check your room for this issue BEFORE checking in. This hotel is overrated on Booking.com.
