Guest Reviews
- Gregory (2/5): Terrible, worst donga accomodation in Aus - Leaving No cold water in taps, shower leaked all night,No heating, no blankets, towels would be rejected if donated to Good Sammy's ... mattress was so hard I could not sleep, run by backpackers... filthy... do not stay here.. sleep in your car!
- Warrick (10/5): - Great staff, Great Steak 👍

The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab
- Kevin (3/5): Forgettable - Food and drink availability, secure parking No light in bathroom, loud air con, no chair in room, no tv reception, old and run down

- Dean (8/5): -
- Craig (6/5): Good - It was easy to get in and out staff were friendly Room lets alot of light in made it hard to fall asleep.
- Stuart (4/5): Necessary stop - Location Bed very uncomfortable
- Mark (10/5): -
- Jacobus (6/5): - Place was cleaner than expected and had coffee and a kettle in room even though no verity. Food was good at the pub and the staff was friendly enough. Lots of noise from trucks on the road and thin walls being a donga. Lights directly outside room and nothing other than curtains to keep light out means room fairly lit up from outside sources. No bed side light and switches at door so had to get up to turn light down luckily as mentioned above enough light in room. Bed was like a rock or maybe just the plank under mattress. Was only for one night and glad off it.
- Steve (5/5): All good other than comments provided - Location is good and friendly staff Understand isolation determines the room rate but consider the room rate was not good value
- Pat (7/5): -
- Luke (2/5): Cold and unsatisfying - Staff and location Heating system, sheets and room are no good for a cold night, worst steak sandwich I’ve ever experienced.
Facilities and pub are tired and desperately in need of some upgrades and maintenance
- Fredrick (8/5): Good place for an overnight stay - Conveniently located, had secure parking and a very helpful Staff member Leyla Nothing
- Paul (7/5): Bed was hard, food not great but service good at bar - Staff were excellent Steak was not cooked as ordered.
- Dianne (8/5): -
- Paul (10/5): -
- LEE-ANNE (10/5): - Staff were so welcoming, pub was a great atmosphere, would definitely stay again
- Jacobus (6/5): Was expectable for one night's stay but can be improved on - Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was ok but better last time, salad said it was fresh but seemed a bit hacked together, and the steak was full of rissole and no other option than a scotch fillet. This specific room 22 had a huge gap under the from door allowing hot heat and light into the room, there was only one pillow on the bed and was like sleeping on a rock. Bathroom had no door which meant again the hot air from the top of the window opening comes into the room leaving the aircon running 100% all the time and not cooling.
- Bradbury (3/5): - It was clean Manager wouldn't open the doors until 3pm so we had to wait around. Wasn't friendly asked for some milk and was told there was none to buy. It was long life milk very disappointing considering everything was closed
- Sharon (7/5): - Comfy beds, good overnight stop. Only got to stay there for one night.
- Dean (10/5): -
- Bevan (1/5): -

- Swioklo (5/5): -
- Aaron (2/5): -
- Scott (6/5): - Not really good value, bed was hard as a rock. Could do with a good deep clean everywhere
- chris (6/5): -
- Grant (6/5): Not for princesses - Good food at the pub and the beer was cold. Shower was hot. Is pretty much what you should expect at an outback pub although looking worn.
If heading south drive another hour to Cue, a heritage town with better amenities.
- Margaret (3/5): -
- Brendan (10/5): Was a perfect stop over after a long drive - Jenny was the best! She looked after us from the initial booking to the check in and even our lunch order. Shes an absolute delight and very warm and hospitable person.
- Keegan (6/5): Not bad, not great - After a full day of travelling we weren't keen to swag it again so chose a bed and hot shower here instead. The shower was hot and had great pressure. Heater supplied in the room which really helped as it was freezing. Vehicles were locked in car park from 9pm at night. The bed was as hard as a rock, parking was difficult due to sub contractors deciding to take up as much parking space as possible.
It wasn't great but it was better than the swag!
- Michelle (4/5): Lovely staff rooms were sub par - Staff we so friendly and pubs meals tasty Rooms were expensive for what it was and very cold bed hard
- Robyn (3/5): -
- Craig (6/5): -
- Scott (10/5): Work & Play 10/10 - Great pizza

- sara (7/5): Convenient and clean - Convenient for passing through. Ok pub food and good beer and service. Rooms were basic but clean. It was what you pay for and what you expect.
- Neil (5/5): Passable - Overpriced . Rooms are poorly furnished & very basic.
Bar sterile & cold.
- Graeme (5/5): Passable -
- Morrissey (8/5): What I expected, with the bonus of having lovely people behind the bar. - The accommodation (I stayed in the rooms next door to the pub) was just as I expected and the food was great. But the highlight of the stay was the two girls who ran the pub. They were friendly and approachable and made it easy to just sit there having a beer and chatting when they had the time - exactly what I wanted after a long day. Thank you especially to Leah who brightened up the two evenings that I was sitting at the bar. I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like. Just don’t expect 5 star.
- Lalinsiri (5/5): Passable - The place was not clean and had a bad smell. I also felt unsafe — a man knocked on my door asking for money. This made me very uncomfortable. Staff was friendly
- Davo (1/5): Read Above - The Towels Were Filthy the lights did nt work the TV did not work yu could see through the floor in the batthroon the place was absolutely FILTHY never again
- Wayne (8/5): Very good -
- Joel (8/5): Very good -
- Carolyn (9/5): Very comfortable - Friendly helpful staff, great dinner
- Lesley (6/5): Better than expected - Good size double room. Bed clean and comfy. Good value if a little old and dingy. Inside of the pub is not welcoming so we went down the road for dinner. No decent coffee anywhere nearby.
- Chris (7/5): Good -
- Semu (3/5): Poor -
- Geoff (8/5): Great for one night stay, great food. - Location in main street…friendly staff We had problems accessing our room. Initially the key would not work. This was quickly resolved.
- Willem (5/5): Disappointed - Not what we expected. The accommodation was for Mine Wirkets and not holiday makers.
Was used as an overnight stay only
- Amit1311 (5/5): Passable - No microwave in room and room look like old mean not too enogh good because my bed mattress is not good for sleep and no water bottle in my room pluse no shower curtain in bathroom soory but this is trure and die little lizard in my room
- Carter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (9/5): Superb - Secured parking lot overnight
Lovely staff +++
Perfect small units to stay in for one night
Was clean and comfortable
Pub reasonably priced and very quick service
- Craigie (5/5): Comfortable for an overnight stay but needs to be freshened up. - The staff were friendly The bed was comfortable The towels were very old and bleached and did not smell fresh. The air con was very loud.
- Dianne (7/5): Good - Clean, secure overnight parking Road noise from trucks on highways
- Chanel (7/5): Good -
- Hyongdoo (2/5): Very poor -
- Max (7/5): Good -
- Max (7/5): Good -
- James (2/5): The stay was fine but definitely think a revamp on atleast the bedding situations need to be dealt with old steel frames - Convenient location in town - bed squeaky
- matress old thin
- 1x pillow that was paper thin
- toilet light didn’t work
- a/c noisy
- verandah decking was sketch thought i might fall through it
- bar staff service for dinner was average one bartender was excellent helped with check in, offered great service. Other 2 bartenders were terrible one buried her head in her phone and did circles around the bar while the good bartender was running around sorting things, the other was too busy making chit chat with a group in one corner of the bar opposite side of the bar and never bothered with offering services to anyone else in there.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Jayden (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (4/5): It's Meekatharra, manage your expectations and you'll cope. - The staff were amazing, Lena is a superstar.
The meals at the bar weren't bad either. The accommodation was pretty rough. The rooms were acceptably clean, but the quality of the beds and bedding were average at best. The lack of a hot breakfast option was disappointing, given that there are no other real dining choices, this was surprising.
- Jacinta (9/5): Awesome -
- Javier (5/5): Passable - Too expensive for what you get
- Graham (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sheryl (9/5): Neat and clean room, friendly accomodating staff. - Asked for the aircon to be put on early as we were travelling with a pet and they were able to accomodate. Made it much cooler when we arrived than on our last trip. Pretty quiet night and great to have a break from driving Would be nice to have a little grass area for the pets to go inside the fence. Tried going across the road a few times but was hot and there was a fair amount of glass.
- Dayna (5/5): Passable -
- Lindsay (7/5): Good -
- Deanne (1/5): Terrible place to stay - Disgusting bed bugs and dirty shower was horrible experience Everything
- Katharine (8/5): Very good -
- Dan (1/5): This place is the dirtiest most run down place that hasn’t had a cent spent on up-keep in the past 10 years by the looks - Nothing Dirty, tired, nothing worked as it should.
- Bill (5/5): Ok for one night stay. Accommodation basic but ok for overnight stay. Very warm night but aircon did the job. - Historic value. Bar person (female) very friendly and accommodating Food and wine choice very average.
- Keiller (3/5): Good food terrible clients in the bar . - Staff were amazing . The chef that cooked my steak . Well done very impressed. The fact of nearly getting into a fight as you walk in need a different way to check in to your room away form patrons . I understand it’s meeka but come up with a better system .
- Grant (7/5): Good -
- Josh (1/5): Bad -
- Victor (7/5): Good -
- ! (7/5): Staff were nice; accommodation was more than expected. Only downside no light globe in the bathroom - Enough space No light globe in bathroom
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Central location
- Sheryl (8/5): Good for a stop over if you have pets when travelling - Decent sized room and could have a pet stay in the room
