- Lesley (6/5): Nice family get away, sadly lake was very weedy, muddy. - Newly offered property for booking. Hoping only to provide constructive and detailed feedback here for both owners and future renters. Within 2.5hr drive from Toronto Cottage immaculately clean Quiet location (was midweek stay) Beautiful property with sunny exposure Beds comfortable (could use extra blankets) AC available but enjoyed lovely breeze from the lake. Lots of games, TV available Wifi works well. BBQ + propane provided Use of water crafts (canoe, kayak, SUP) Unfortunately the lake was hugely disappointing. Too weedy/muddy for swimming. Many security cameras throughout property. We felt like we were being watched which was a rather odd and uncomfortable feeling. Directions on Booking site was wrong. Added an extra hour to our travel time. Also, very limited or no cell service in the area (not owners fault) made maps / communication sporadic while trying to find our way while driving. Kitchen garbage/recycling/ foodwaste collection not quite adequate. Need larger bags or bins to store items for disposal once small ones filled. Only a single hand towel provided in kitchen. No tea towel provided for dish drying or any additional towels. No wood for fire provided which was clearly stated however would be nice if option to purchase. Communication with owner on Booking site using “message owner” option did not result in a reply. Wanted to verify certain details prior to booking our stay. Did later respond to voice mail on phone after booking.
