Guest Reviews
- Whitty (8/5): Lovely room, quaint sort of cottage like. Great location, sink for dishes would have been nice -
- Barb (8/5): -
- Euan (10/5): Very good - Good facilities, has everything needed Internet access isn’t great, but not a big deal.
- Emily (10/5): -
- Sally (8/5): Nice for a weekend break - Walking distance to town, nice location No aircon in bedroom
- Matthew (3/5): The room and spa were nice, although I'd probably not go back again. - The location is great and the room is reasonably sized. Spa was great. The booking page advises Quiet hours from 21:00, which isn't actually the case. Another unit in the same block was playing loud music which went well past 22:30. Swell Stays staff were of no assistance, advising quiet hours were "strictly enforced from 22:00" which contradicted what is listed on the booking page, they eventually told me to call the police.
The room we had wasn't clean (quite a lot of black hairs in the bathroom and dog fur on the couch and floor rug, dead insects on the window).
The LED lights in the lounge area were constantly flickering. It's almost like the room has had very minimal up keep?
WiFi was horribly slow (less than 3Mbps with high packet loss, ended up tethering from phone).
- Henk Terwal (8/5): Clean and comfortable accommodation. - N/A The LED lights in the lounge were flickering and annoying.
We missed a curtain around the bath, the floor was so wet after one shower!
- Elizabeth (8/5): -
- Kylie (7/5): - good location Tv would not connect to the internet
- Diane Michele and Michael John (7/5): Cosy and quirky, lovely unit - This unit is in a great location close to the middle of town. Even closer was the River Hotel where we ate on 2 nights. Only a 60m walk. The unit had a lot of great personal touches and was warm and cosy. There were things like coffee pods and teabags and sugar as well as body wash and hand wash. The bathroom was very retro. Unfortunately the furniture wasn’t as comfortable as it looked. The bed was the hardest we’ve ever slept on and you could feel every spring. It really needs a new mattress or at least a topper. The lounge looked comfy but was so low and deep it was a nightmare to get out of (yes we’re fit oldies but we found it hard!)
There was only a coffee table to eat off which was a bit of a pain. But we loved our time there.
- Robert (8/5): -
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Very clean and good location with good facilities, but the bed was too soft and creaked loudly every time one of us moved, so we did not sleep very well. Also very little information about the site and/or vicinity so a map would have been useful, we never did find the pool
- Melanie (7/5): Budget Charm near Margaret River centre - Heritage-type apartment with ease of access to The River hotel No Aircon in bedroom. No kitchen sink
- Joyce (5/5): Disappointing - The bottle of wine was well received. Disappointing experience this time as we had no check-in details until we rang the emergency phone number 18hrs before we were due to arrive. When we arrived, there was no controller for the air conditioning, all the remote controls had flat batteries (had to purchase some new batteries to be able to watch the TV). This is not what you would expect from a holiday rental.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Gail (7/5): Nice and easy to get into the property, walking distance into Margaret River was great. - No kitchen sink only basin in the bathroom
- Clare (7/5): Good -
- Jacquelyn (10/5): Perfect Location and a Perfect Stay! - Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Our room was clean and comfortable, and we liked how it felt like a home away from home with a large bedroom, separate living room and bathroom. It was also in a great location close enough to walk to the town only about 10 -15 min walk.
We also liked how there was a pub at the front of the accommodation with great food and drinks on offer as well for the nights where we didn't feel like walking or going anywhere far!
Check in and out was easy with the lock box situation and overall the communication from the property was 10/10 giving us instructions for check in and also they made us feel very welcome with a free bottle of wine and some discount vouchers for local cafes and restaurants. Thanks again it was very much appreciated. No cooking stove or kitchen to make hot food. Tho we didnt need it at the time I think it would have been great to have the option to eat in and enjoy our space even more. They did provide glasses, cutlery and plates for cold food so we could still make our own cheese plater so that was good at least.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jose (8/5): Great value and location - Location and comfort Wifi terrible, couldn’t stream shows on TV without significant buffering and dropping out constantly
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harriet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Linda (6/5): Great accom if the mattress is replaced !! - The room was great. It had everything that you needed for a short stay. Nice short walk into the central part of town. THE BED MATTRESS !!!!!!
We Didn’t get a decent sleep both nights.
It was so noisy every time you moved.
Absolutely horrendous. Couldn’t recommend anyone stay here until owners respond that they have replaced the mattress. Did notice a previous guest made mention of it also.
- Melanie (7/5): Well located base to explore Margaret River - These are spacious and centrally located apartments with good parking, making them a convenient base to explore Margaret River. The bathroom was a bit dated and not particularly clean. Being behind a lively pub means it was also pretty noisy on the weekends.
- Joyce (9/5): Superb -
- James (8/5): Very good - Loved the comfy bed and size of the property. Was a great place to base ourselves visiting wineries. 15 minute walk into town and nice restaurants! There were some utensils but no microwave or any means of cooking or washing up.
- Dean (9/5): Superb - Great location, walking distance to town centre and spacious apartment with good facilities. Nil, was a great place with easy access and parking.
- Nives (10/5): Exceptional -
- Roma (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (10/5): Great stay! - The location was fantastic very central. The facilities were great, very clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. We will definitely stay here again. Faultless
- Tony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Shi (9/5): good location - central location, spacious and well equipped rather poor noise insulation, can hear road traffic and noise from next door
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - After searching the appartement for the WiFi password for one hour we had to go to the pub to ask for the code. Ironically, to optain the WiFi password you need to have internet access in the first place and scan a QR code with a hidden link. Really...?
When taking a shower you literally can't avoid flooding the bathroom floor.
- Ant (7/5): Good -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caceres (9/5): I would stay there again 😉 - The unit was very clean and the location was very handy.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - No plug for the bath
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic apartment
Has everything you need for a very comfortable stay Bed needs to be put on a carpet
Very noisy on plastic casters
