Guest Reviews
- JIANSHENG (10/5): -
- Delosky (8/5): Comfy and Quaint Place to Stay - The property owner was very nice and communicated very well. The guide to get there was very helpful as well. The upstairs living space was very comfortable and even though at first the downstairs felt cramped, we got used to it and weren't really there enough to matter. Having the kitchen was nice and even though the shower was "different" for Americans, in the end it was fine. Only thing I wish I had known about before staying there. One of the things that drew my teenage son to the place (this trip was for him) was the entertainment system on the ground floor. It wasn't until we turned it on that we realized you cannot change the system language away from Japanese and have to use a translator from your phone just to navigate it. Also, you cannot add non-Japanese accounts to the apps and the apps have no logins already so there was nothing we could watch. I wish I had known that before we stayed so that we knew we weren't going to be able to use it.
A second small thing was, for tourists looking to visit various parts of the city, the location ended up being a little further away from a lot of the places we wanted to see. This is not a fault of the place itself and it is a short walk from the train station, but we ended up finding ourselves 40 minute multiple train hops from many of the places we wanted to go.
- Jocelyn (8/5): Very good - The upstairs bedroom was large and bright with big windows.
Close to the train station and supermarkets. Direct metro line to both Tokyo and airport. First floor a bit crimped, with living room, kitchen, bathroom and toilet.
All plates but one bowl are plastic, not the best for microwave.
The space is good for a couple, four people could make it work for a night or two, but seven as the proposed maximum, no way!
- Tristan (9/5): Mikazuki Aoto MAO1 Review - The instructions on finding the place via the online manual (and other instructions provided inside the in-house manual) were super easy to follow along with. The unit itself had a very comfy, homely feel to it, and everything you need is provided (appliances, extra towels and toilet paper, etc.). The bedroom also has a very cozy feel, with a couch as you walk in and more than enough closet space. The mattresses are also incredibly nice to lay on. The neighborhood was also really nice, and there are quite a few convenient stores/shops that are about a 1-2 minutes walk away. The station is also really close by, which is a huge bonus!
For me being a solo traveler, this was a perfect place to stay, and I would definitely consider coming back next time 😊 Was hoping to have a regular sink in the unit, but it wasn't a huge deal in the grand scheme.
