• Vadim (1/5): Teleurstellende ervaring door slechte start en gebrek aan compensatie - - Wij kwamen op zondagavond laat aan met vier kinderen, waaronder twee jonge kinderen, in een appartement dat helaas niet gekuist was. Volgens de host ging het om een miscommunicatie en er zou onmiddellijk iemand komen poetsen. Hoewel dit werd opgelost, betekende het dat wij moesten wachten terwijl er nog gepoetst werd, waardoor onze kinderen niet op tijd naar bed konden. Dit zorgde voor een zeer slechte start van onze tweedaagse. Toen we bij de host om een compensatie vroegen, was dit niet mogelijk. Dit heeft ons enorm teleurgesteld, zeker gezien de accommodatie niet goedkoop was en we een betere service hadden verwacht. Een correcte en klantvriendelijke oplossing had deze situatie kunnen verzachten, maar helaas bleef die uit.

• Sébastien (10/5): - Appartement spacieux et proche du centre ville et des musées. C'est idéal pour pouvoir visiter la ville et l'espace cuisine permet de pouvoir se faire à manger facilement (si l'on ne veut pas faire que des restaurants). ce n'était pas de la faute du logement mais nous avons eu des voisins du dessus très bruyants : ils ont fait la fête toute la nuit du samedi au dimanche et ils n'étaient pas particulièrement discrets.

• Frank (9/5): Near to Paradiso - Our host Max was really helpful, responded promptly to all mails/calls and facilitated early check in ~ couldn't have been better! Expensive for one night but it was a bank holiday weekend Saturday, so it is what it is
• Brandy (7/5): Great location, just needs a little TLC. - The beds and pullout couch were very comfortable. Location was great. Plenty of space for 7 people. Max was very easy to get a hold of and quick to reply to questions. Bathroom needs some attention.
• Vanesa (5/5): There was a leak - La ubicación There was a leak in the apartment. The managers were willing to understand the problem but did not fix it. They have 5 single beds and two sofas that are not suitable for a good night's sleep. In fact, they did not have sheets for them, only sheets for single beds. There were no basic cleaning supplies such as a broom or mop to clean the floor.

• Charlotte (8/5): Nice, spacious and filled with natural light. - Lovely and spacious, great view of the street. The host helped carry one of our suitcases up the steep stairs to the front door (such stairs are typical in Amsterdam I might add!), which we really appreciated. Comfy beds. The host was responsive during our stay, arranging for extra sheets, a toaster and laundry detergent promptly when needed. Both bedside lights in the main bedroom were not working, however once notified this was promptly fixed. I received a message from rental management group 5 days before check in, providing details for me to transfer the 500 euro deposit. This was difficult to do once I had left my home country (Australia) and was already overseas, and would have been helpful to know earlier as we booked the property in February for a September stay. The deposit was returned on day 13 after checkout, but only after I sent messages asking if further details were needed- I needed to provide my bank details. This process would be so much smoother if automated. The dishwasher didn't work during our stay which meant we needed to handwash dishes, as the tablets did not dissolve which meant the dishes were coming out unclean. Edited to add in response to the host: I did notify via WhatsApp during our stay that the dishwasher was not working, as it was very inconvenient given that I had to handwash the dishes. I think because you encourage contact via booking.com but also WhatsApp that you are missing messages and the ability to be able to respond to guests in a timely manner, which can also cause confusion from your end. Also with regards to the deposit and deposit refund- yes, this is stipulated, however you made no attempt to contact me for my bank details to action this. I had to send 3 messages about this to chase this up, as there were great delays in replying to messages after we checked out. Many people have commented about this frustrating delay, so perhaps it's time to get a better process in place. As I said, this process should be smoother and/or automated. This put a dampener on what was otherwise (other than the dishwasher) a great place to stay.
• Kathleen (9/5): Wonderful, authentic and spacious! - We loved the location, the ample space and the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in! We didn't realize we needed to bring the deposit in cash so the host walked us to an ATM. We didn't receive our deposit back until weeks later. Everyone else takes a credit card deposit, so that was a bit inconvenient.
• Nedalina (1/5): Horrible and very scary experience, dirty linen and mattress - Worst experience ever. Some of the towels and linen were not washed. The management were rude and we felt very unsafe as visitors to a foreign country. Upon checking in, the mattress, duvet and some of the towels were stained with fresh blood clots and slime ( I am attaching photos of that), we immediately made the property aware about this by a text message. Few hours later the property manager Margaret and two other men arrived banging at the door of the apartment while our kids were asleep, they scared us, they were agitated, they asked us to leave their property within 30 minutes though it was 7pm and though we had no place to go in a foreign country. The property manager Margaret justified that act by made up false accusations: “neighbours complaining from us being noisy and rude”…though there was no one around in this tiny building and we met and spoke to no one in the 4 hours being there. I had no idea that a host can make up accusations and kick you out just like that!
• Ian (5/5): Passable - The location is excellent. Easy to walk to places to eat/drink and equally easy to get to bus/tram stops to get anywhere in Amsterdam or directly to the airport. The accommodation was lovely, but beware, there's no lift to the apartment and the stairs are fairly narrow and steep. Two main concerns a) Communication re arrival. We were notified to call a number before our arrival. On landing I received a text asking for our estimated time of arrival. I texted our reply. I heard nothing and, on repeated texting still heard nothing. On arrival, no-one was there. I than rang and was told someone was on their way. After 45 mins rang again to be told person on way had a puncture but was on way. After another 30-45 mins a lady arrived. When I mentioned puncture, she had no idea what I was on about...In that time we'd been stood outside property for over 1.5hrs b) You are asked to send a €500 deposit before you arrive. It took me 2hrs to transfer the money over. It took 14 days to get the €500 back. Whilst I accept they need to check the property after we had left, and they state it may take 7-14 days to get money back, I feel in this day and age it should be returned as soon as property checked.

• Tobgi (10/5): Amazing Spacious Apartment. - Amazing apartment with a spacious kitchen. Highly recommended. Everything was perfect. Nothing.
• Emelia (10/5): Amazing property great location and great staff - This is a clean and spacious property which is very central to the busy Amsterdam. It is far away enough to not hear noise at night time. The apartment was very clean on arrival and had enough towels for 6 people. The communication between accomodation management and host was very easy. They were very flexible and friendly despite having a 5 hour flight delay and missing check in time they were able to wait at the property until we arrived for check in without issues. Property had baggage storage following check out at 11. Kept our luggage there until 3pm. The stairs are VERY steep but it was quite funny lugging our suitcases up with the host
• Slava (9/5): Superb - Great location! The apartment has everything you need and is perfect for a family or a small group of friends. The host is very responsive.
• Loic (6/5): Pleasant - Convenient location. Too expensive for what is provided, deposit to be paid extra separate to booking.com, thin walls and loud entrance, no or minimalist decoration which doesn't justify a deposit, lack of security with gas hob which doesn't work without lighter.

• Connor (9/5): Fantastic stay - great location and well presented! - The location is perfect. The apartment has an incredible balcony and the interior is immaculate. It is ideal for 4 or more people, as there's lots of space and very clean. One thing to note is that the stairs are VERY steep - be careful when coming in and out at night. But this is normal in Amsterdam, so not the property's fault.

Nonfunctional key, wrong number on booking, they pushed us to do all the cleaning, demanded unexpected deposit (maybe it's written somewhere) cash or bank transfer. Pressure to leave before checkout, rip-off rate for late checkout. Plenty of coffee but no tea, one dish machine tablet, promised to bring more, never happened. And the coffee machine actually leaked too much to prepare a coffee. And more
