• Apartment

  The unrated apartment features a balcony offering ocean views, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a lock-up car parking garage. There is one bathroom which has a spa bath plus a separate shower. The toilet is in a separate room. There is also a separate laundry. One bedroom offers a queen-size bed, the other offers a double and single bed. Easy walking distance to the beach, shops, cafes and pelican feeding. The price is based on 5 guests, including children. The apartment is located next door to the Bed and Breakfast.

• Meg (3/5): Views are fantastic but be prepared to clean it from top to bottom - The location straight across the road from the beach was beautiful - not cleaned at all, sand and hair in bed, nothing wiped down, still sticky and crumbs everywhere in kitchen, mould in shower and on curtains/windows. Not even the cups were clean. Old gum on floor as well as other people’s left over lip balms.

The owners were nice people but you could clearly see they were over the hard work involved in running a B&B The place is run down and very dated. Not a true resemblance to the photos viewed online. Plants havent seen any water in a long time etc

I would stay here again. No daily service in the room. Shampoo not replenished. Doors hard to open. Cleanliness could be improved.

They refused to give us a refund for the day missed because they put us in the honeymoon suite - which we did not ask for, we were placed there by default because they made the mistake of double booking. The lady at reception was extremely rude about the entire situation.

• Kellie-anne (4/5): Disappointed and disgusted. - The property was in an amazing location having a sea view. The accomodation that had been advertised had a Hot Tub in the description of the accomodation. The Hot tub wasn’t at the premises we had stayed at , it was located around the corner and up the street where the main house was located. On the wall on a sign in the apartment read The hot tub was open from 5.00pm-9.00pm or by special arrangement only, at no time was this written in the description of the apartment. When we arrived at the property the front screen door was broken with the security door locking mechanism having been removed. The stove was absolutely filthy. There was no cleaning cloths, we had to purchase this ourselves to be able to wipe down bench tops. The bathroom was showing mould and the bath was dirty. The sliding door leading out to the veranda didn’t lock. The additional toilet must have been hiding as this wasn’t seen. We had gone out for dinner and on arrival back to the apartment there were around 20 small cockroaches on the kitchen benches. The apartment had a smell of cockroaches, upon opening the cupboard facing the lounge room area a woft of cockroach stench was received. Upon going into the back bedroom to sleep there was a large Cockroach running across the pillow on one of the beds. I stay in accommodation through Booking.com regularly and have never left a bad review. I was embarrassed and disappointed with this accommodation and will never stay there again.

• Williams (8/5): Okay for a short stay (4 nights in our case) but if you like to stay longer, look for a Hotel - Location, Quiet area, and helpful service. Towel rail and TV were very old and they need replacement. On the first day, we changed rooms as the Air Conditioning and TV were not working. Luckily there was another room available as this was a very small BB House run by an old couple, owners of this place.

Very dirty. Had to scrub toilet because it had splatter in bowl and underside of seat. Shower recess dirty. Faucet fell of bath when tried to bath the children No internet no toiletries. No dish washing liquid in kitchen to wash up. Generally unclean. Hardly used amenities because generally unclean. Sofas dirty. Lifted cushions to tidy and found dirt and sticky candy in seats Complained to hosts. Gentleman went off in a tirade when I said the internet didn’t work saying that we are on a holiday and should not need the internet. GUEST293&% Was the internet password but it didn’t work for the apartment Was told the reception was very bad but in fact that password was for the main lodge TV worked some channels but some only had sound and no picture. Lady was very apologetic but blamed the cleaners for not doing a good job.

• Michael (7/5): Good - Great location, friendly staff and on-site parking. Felt homely, like renting a room in a friendly house. The aircon wasn't very good and we found the room quite warm. Similarly the wifi was average and our phones had poor reception when inside the building.

• Judy (3/5): Great location but needs maintenance - Great location and lovely view, comfortable beds It was not cleaned properly at all - the bathroom shower is really old and grout is in desperate need of re-doing. The bathroom was not clean at all with hairs all over the floor and in shower. When we left we discovered that one of the beds had black hairs all over the sheet and they definitely weren't ours! Lacking basic things in kitchen such as a vegetable knife, vegetable peeler, salad bowl, the dishbrush that had been there for a very long long time and the lighting in the kitchen is very poor. It isn't hard to provide some little things that make a difference - such as providing salt and pepper, shower gel, wifi information but these were lacking.
