• Gregory (10/5): Great Accommodation, Quiet Location, Close to All Beaches, Walking Tracks (National Parks) and Zoo. - The accommodation was clean, comfortable, great location, quiet location and had everything we needed for a week stay. It was also located whereby we could travel to key locations for fishing, walking and enjoy the food and activities that Batemans Bay has to offer. Although other areas we visited were in a very short distance e.g. Murramarang, National Park, Beaches, Zoo, Botanical Gardens.

• Aleksei (5/5): Nice place, but not as advertised and the host communication was off - The place itself was comfortable and generally quiet. The first-floor space was overall nice for the stay. The listing was advertised as a “whole house,” but it is only the first floor. There are residents on the second floor. We did not see or hear anyone during the stay, but when we were leaving we noticed someone upstairs watching us through the curtains, which felt uncomfortable. There were also some cleanliness/maintenance issues outside: an empty beer bottle used as an ashtray on the upstairs balcony, and a burnt cigarette left near the first-floor entrance. The main issue, though, was the tone of the host’s messages. They were mostly instructions (“leave the driveway clear and park on the kerb,” “keep my place clean,” and a late reminder to check out by 10am), followed by a request to leave a nice review and comments about it being “budget accommodation.” If it is budget accommodation, that is fine — but the listing should present it that way rather than calling it a “newly renovated gem.” Also, even for budget accommodation, providing more toilet paper than what is already on the roll is a basic expectation. Overall, the stay could have been very good, but the misleading “whole house” wording and the host communication made it feel like we were inconveniencing them rather than being welcomed as paying guests.

• Shelley (8/5): This accommodation is perfect if you are holidaying with young children & you don’t want to stay in a place full of - I stayed here with my 2yo granddaughter & it was perfect for our needs on this 8 night holiday. I loved how the 2 bedrooms were separated by a small study in between, which added to the privacy of the 2 bedrooms. The kitchen facilities were great. I really liked this property. Even though this house has an upstairs with guests staying too, you really don’t hear them and it feels very private in the downstairs place. The only thing I didn’t like, was that it was time to leave!

• Taylah (3/5): Poor - The most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. So much so my partner had to seek medical help the following day. The shower was horrendous, boiling hot then freezing cold then completely cold in the morning. Mattress toppers are cheap or even replace the mattress if I’m sure the amount charged per night would cover costs of replacing a mattress or two. The checkin and host were lovely and easy to contact. The upstairs tenants were noisy and again the bed was horrific.

For anyone not local there is a cut through via the school that essentially brings you out to Wharf Rd where you can stroll the beach to the bridge to town. The bus stop is in sight of the front door, just one block up, if you prefer that. This place comes ready to roll with everything you need to be comfortable supplied. Totally quiet too. There was someone renting upstairs the whole time and we did not see or hear them. Great little holiday rental.
