• Leigh (7/5): Good - Great location, very good size apartment, very well equipped. Very comfortable beds and amazing soft bed linen. Electronic / app door access is not great.... even the concierge says it never works ..... it too us ages to get in to the apartment and it worked intermittently at best. Check-in is from 16.00 and check-out is by 11.00. We asked for a slightly earlier check-in which they could not do, which is absolutely fine and I understand. But on the first night, they messaged me to say that there was an annual gas inspection due at the apartment and we needed to give access the next day between 16.00 and 20.00 ..... I messaged them straight back and told them that this time was not convenient for me as I had an online meeting and needed to have silence and could not be disturbed. I asked them If they could do it during the morning for before 16.00 or why could they not have done it between the 11.00 check-out and our 16.00 check on that day or the following day when we would have checked out (we were only there for two days) But they messaged me back to say that they can't do any other times and if we didn't let them in they would have to disconnect our gas supply and we would not have any hot water or heating etc..... Thiis was clearly a lie, as gas inspections don't expire on a particular day and need to be disconnected etc ....... and if it was the last day it could have been done, they should be more organised and carried out the inspection a few days before. In the end, I had to hire a meeting room in a business centre for 2hrs to complete my online meeting and a family member had to stay at the apartment and wait for the engineer.
• Wanda (6/5): Pleasant - The location. I did not like not being made aware of construction on the building. There was scaffolding in place on the entire front of the building and the scaffolding was covered with a screen that blocked the view. We could not see anything from the windows.

• Ivelina (10/5): Exceptional - Best accommodation for 8 people. We loved this place. Top location. Top clearness. Top furnished and comfort. 10 of 10. We had difficulties to open the middle door in the building. It was written in booking that there are 2 doors, but actually there were 3 doors and we couldn't open it. Thanks to the neighbor we got in.
• Meenakshe (1/5): Bad - 😟 THIS PLACE IS DEFINITELY NOT SWEET! And the staff do sweet NOTHING!! 😟 This review is regarding apartment SweetInn Plaza Catalunya in Ronda de la Universitat. I advise you to read all recent online reviews about SweetInn Barcelona before you decide to book this apartment. The actual apartment is quite run down and old. These are the problems we encountered: ☹️ We had no hot water for 2 days due to a fault in the geyser. SweetInn management did not bother to come and check the problem. We had to argue repeatedly that a problem did in fact exist. The attitude from staff members was rude and arrogant. We had no apology from them either. ☹️We wanted to check in at 3pm (1 hour earlier than the 4pm allowed) and they wanted to charge us 104€ ☹️Remote control for TV broken ☹️Electronic check in was a disaster- it does not work. They give you only 1 set of keys so the rest of the family cannot go about independently. The electronic keys stopped working- we were stuck outside for hours and SweetInn did not answer their phone. ☹️Blocked basin ☹️ The door of the main bedroom is broken and does not close ☹️It’s a 13 minute walk from the bag storage place to the apartment. We have requested a partial refund due to the fact that we had no hot water and endless problems with the electronic keys. They promise to refund us, but so far we have had no compensation. If you have a problem staying here, do not expect any help to resolve it, and a rude response from staff. **STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO BOOK THIS APARTMENT- STAY AWAY FROM SWEETINN WHO ARE THE MANAGERS OF THE APARTMENT**
• Fausta (10/5): Would recommend - We really enjoyed staying in the Plaza Catalunya! At first, just before trip, we read some really negative reviews about the Sweet Inn business and were a bit scared that we will be dissapointed in some way. But in the reality, everything was just perfect. Extra coffe, oil, vinegar, tea, bathroom sets, even slippers and toothbrashers were there for us. The apt was just like in the photos. Centre is just around the corner and we could see some of it from the balcony. No lousy neighbors around, ultra mega comfortable beds. Would strongly recommend. Some furniture could be renewed (the door of the master bedroom did not shut properly).
