Guest Reviews
- Nadia Ivonee (8/5): -
- Rubí Cruz (9/5): - La ubicación y la amplitud de la casa La cocina requiere de mayor cuidado en su limpieza
- VIRGINIE (9/5): - Surprenant Rien
- Dino (9/5): Ideal place for quite and relax stay - The house is truly beautiful and looks exactly like in the photos. It has everything you need — the air conditioning worked perfectly in the room, and the WiFi was reliable. You can use the kitchen if you want, and there’s also an option to have breakfast prepared for you at a very reasonable price.
The homeowner doesn’t live on-site; instead, a lovely family takes care of the house — an elderly lady named Manu and two younger women with their two small children. A great perk is the laundry service available on the property at a very affordable rate.
Manu was incredibly kind and welcoming, while the younger ladies were a bit reserved but still polite and helpful.
The pool is charming and nice for photos, pitty it can not be used for a dip, because it is not well maintained.
The location is a bit farther from the city center — about a 30-minute walk — which can be a bit inconvenient in warm weather. However, Uber works perfectly in Cancun and is very affordable. Nearby, you’ll find an Oxxo market and a few good restaurants.
This house is ideal if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway where you can get a good night’s sleep, relax, and enjoy your privacy.
All in all, I’m glad I booked this accommodation — it was a really lovely experience.
- moshe (6/5): - It does look like in the pictures and it close to small era of local bars. As we got into the room it smelled bad. It seems cleen at first sight but than we saw a lot of ants around and the bed sheets had yellow stains on them (although they probably been clean it still looked bad).
The pool seemed to unmaintained for a while, so we didn't want to get in.
We've been here for one night after we've been at other places in Cancun, at the same price rate we could have got better.
- Bruno (6/5): Photos misleading and no pool - Location was ok Lack of maintenance and pool out of use
- Alejandro (10/5): Excellent if one wants to be in the city and not by the beach. - We wanted to be in the city, not by the beach, and this property is good for that. Very-very nice and safe neighborhood with big supermarket about 18 minute walk going east in "Plaza de las Americas". Costco is about the same distance going in the opposite direction. A convenience store is a block away going south. There are restaurants around at walking distance. We shared bathroom facilities but that is not an issue in this property: toilet, shower, and sinks are all independent of each other. The bedroom is simple but well appointed, nice closets. There is no safe in the room but we felt there was no need for one because all rooms have a lock and there are very few people around. The ladies in charge seem to be there 24/7. The kitchen is very nice and they provide drinking water in the kitchen. We did not use the swimming pool but there is a table by the pool, a nice place to eat and relax. If you want to be in the city and not by the beach then I recommend this place. Water condensates in the refrigerator and it pools a little bit on the shelfs inside the refigerator, There is no TV in the rooms but that was not an issue for us.
- Alejandro (10/5): It’s an amazing place in the middle of Cancun downtown . - The spacious
- Katarzyna (6/5): Pleasant -
- Miriam (9/5): Superb - The finish on this house is very nice. It is like a tv novela house and we enjoyed that! The living area was very comfortable and the staff were really welcoming.
They allowed us to leave our luggage after check out.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
There's an option to have breakfast and an option to use the kitchen for simple cooking (although i had forgotten that was an option as the listing on the booking. Com app doesn't mention it anywhere so we gave away all our cooking bits and ingredients at the previous hostel...)
This is the quietest place we've stayed in quintana roo, possibly Mexico. I woke in the early hours and could not hear a single vehicle nor bar!! That was delightful.
It's a 15 min walk to the ecological park (we loved that for an early morning walk and play on the outdoor gym equipment. Lots of wildlife!) and a 15min walk to plaza las Americas, a further 10min from there to the promenade (malecon tajamar) where we saw so many interesting and beautiful birds.
The walk to plaza las Americas took us longer than it should have due to the amount of wonderful trees and with such variety that i had to stop every few blocks to take more photos. The aircon in our room wasn't amazing and the pool looked unused and not so appealing.
The location is quite a bit out of town, although with uber it is easy to get reasonable rides into the town, to/from the ADO, and to plaza las Américas. There are also collectivis that are nearby that go to these places, you have to ask locals for information on where the stops are and where the routes go.
Local food options, those within walking distance, didn't inspire us (not the venues fault!).
- Miriam (9/5): Superb - Cool house, welcoming and friendly staff, quiet!
A calm neighbourhood.
Option to use the kitchen for simple meals and leave things in the fridge. The location was a bit far out, especially as we were there for only one night.
But with uber it made it doable, but it was not ideally located for getting into town by foot or by public transport with bags. To ho to the beach we paid for an uber, but it was twice the price for the journey back so we caught the r1 from the beach into downtown then got an uber from there. But of a faff, but much cheaper that way.
- Adrianna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rafael (8/5): Very good -
- Katherine (8/5): Great value for the money! - The suite is enormous, clean, and comfortable. The family who owns/runs the villa are very kind and helpful. The location is a short walk to nice restaurants and Costco. The beds do not have mattress protectors, which, for those of us who travel frequently, is a MUST! The hot water to the shower takes about 10 minutes to arrive, and water pressure is very low.
- Beatriz (8/5): Very good -
- Natalia (6/5): Pleasant - No hot water, the pool has floating leaves, everything needs renovation.
- Julian (6/5): Ok - Very friendly helper/ cleaner but did not speak English- my fault It wasn't clear where you could go in house. Slightly out of town. Pool and outside area were not like photos and very dirty
- Johanna (8/5): Very good -
- Elvis (9/5): Superb - Friendly staff, room was spacious. Double bed was small for two people in a hot city
- Karlos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (10/5): Gorgeous place, fully recommend staying here! - The house is gorgeous the rooms very comfortable. Equipped with air conditioner. Location wise, it may be good to have a car to move around in an easier way!
- Ruslan (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (8/5): Safe and cosy - Big house, palace type, in a clean safe neighborhood
There's quite a few security steps to get in.
You can sit in the living room, prepare your meal in a well equipped kitchen
Easy walk to necessities and restaurant
Good room with wardrobe & balcony.
Great value for money
This house feel a bit strange, like in a soap serie.
Staff is discreet, try to find her if you need something Some parts need maintenance and to be cleaned.
Toilet got several times stuck
Bathroom access to the shower
Swimming and terrace area was not clean I didn't use it.
Suggestions: a tv and a chair would be nice. It rained a lot during my stay and I was many hours indoors
- Davif (9/5): Spotlessly clean, in a quiet location. -
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place, huge room, possible to park a car directly in front the door Difficult to find
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (5/5): Passable - Cleanliness. No TV.
- Aljosa (9/5): Superb -
- Evangelos (10/5): Exceptional - The place is just very nice, comfortable and meets the needs of a traveler. Carolina was very helpful and kind. We did not have time to stay for a longer time.
- Francesca (10/5): Lovely -
- Nelson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eve (9/5): Superb -
- Aljosa (9/5): Superb -
- Konstantin (8/5): Perfect budget frinedly option if traveling by two - The room was sparkling clean, spacious living room with pool access (the pool could have been clean a little bit more though). Very helpful staff and very budget frinedly compared to other places in Cancun. You have to share the shower/bathroom with other guests and the hot water flow is somewhat unpredictable and sophisticated to adjust. The hostess doesn't speak a single word in English, so you need to know at least, basic Spanish to communicate
- Vytautė (8/5): Telenovela stay - The house is amazing, you get to live in your telenovela house, pretty cool experience! Hot water was not working sometimes
One of the beds were very uncomfortable, you could feel the strings in your back
It was a bit weird, you don’t get a message from hosts how to reach the property and check in, we just drove to the address on Google maps and rang the doorbell on the gates
- Karolina (10/5): Exceptional - Great place, clean, nice room and a very helpful host.
- Julia (9/5): Simple accommodation - Just a simple accommodation with a good price. In the shared kitchen there’s a drinking water dispenser.
- Alexandra (9/5): Friendly stay in Cancun - Very friendly staff. Kind and caring. I arrived late and they were still there to welcome me. You feel like you are stepping into their home. Really liked staying here. Will look to stay again. Nothing
- Magdalena (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was optional for 150 dollars. It was fruit, toast, eggs and bacon with some coffee. It was ok. We had a shared bedroom with a shared bathroom with other 3 bedrooms. Not too bad but the toilet didn't have a lock.
- Ariel (9/5): It was good! - It was nice and comfy in a nice area. Nothing.
- Jelena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iben (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice staff
- Rodriguez (10/5): Excellent -
- Anna (8/5): Very good - Quite a grand house in a quiet residential area. Each room has its own keypad lock and access to shared bathroom. Rooms are bright and spacious and very clean. You can use kitchen facilities if required. The included breakfast was toast and fruits or it appears you could pay extra for bacon/eggs. Oxxo (like a 7/11) and some restaurants within easy walking distance. We just used as an easy overnight stop before heading back to airport, great value. There didn't appear to be any hot water in the shower.
- Zâna (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you for everything! Really apreciated the help with our late luggages late arrival..
- Kevin (10/5): Perfect landing spot before venturing deeper into the Riviera Maya. - The room was better than expected and the location was within walking distance to some great restaurants. It was suitable for our family of 4 plus a baby. The entry was strange and inconvenient, Wi-Fi wasn't fast enough to stream sports.
- Tatiana (7/5): Good -
- Ton (5/5): Passable -
- Cynthia (10/5): A wonderful mother son vacation at a truly unique B&B - Were very patient with us not know Spanish. The Translation app was great. They had many amenities and food available with us. Even though we were running in and out with excursions it was very convenient and they were very accommodating. Taxi & Uber were also very helpful finding fun spots. Everything was great. There was nothing bad. It really was great
- Tahera (8/5): Very good - Staff were helpful and friendly, always smiling and very accommodating. The pool wasn't ready to use. It required a clean and needed refilling.
- Crosbie (10/5): Nice guesthouse - Sasha was a wonderful host.
Rooms are clean and functional.
Bathroom and shower facilities are well maintained.
Nice pool and kitchen in communal areas.
Guesthouse is located in a quiet residential area but not too far from restaurants, bars and bus station.
Really good value for money
- Jason (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jorge (8/5): Very good - the parking is on the street we expect to keep the car in the garage
- Jozef (8/5): Very good -
- Yanez (8/5): Very good -
- Henry (10/5): A delight to have picked and stayed at this home. - Was very clean, breakfast was perfect, swam every day, and slept like a baby- just perfect. Liked it all - so warm and enviting
- Michael (9/5): Superb - La gentillesse du personnel Emplacement recidentiel
- Anonymous (8/5): Good option for an overnight in Cancun - The property was located in a safe and quiet neighborhood of Cancun. The property is offers safe street parking. The hotel attendant didn’t speak any English so it was a bit different communicating with her.
- Anonymous (6/5): Cheap & good enough for a overnight stay, would not stay here again. - Nice house The location is not ideal for walking to restaurants or stores, ect. The room had a slight smell when we arrived & we got the room with two beds. The full bed was good enough but the twin bed was terrible, you can feel the springs through the mattress. There’s no TV in the room and the house/room although nice is not very welcoming.
Lastly, the house is not label as Sasha’s Mini Palace, it’s just another house on the street. So this can be very confusing as a visitor in an unfamiliar city.
- Katja (9/5): Superb - It was very clean. The house was nice and in a good neighborhood. The price was fair. Flexible check out times. A bit far from everything if you don't have a car.
- Simon (9/5): Superb - Very friendly lady hosted us
- Ross (10/5): safe convenient central clean beautiful and value driven. it’s perfect. - The owner was flawless. Kind, courteous , aware of everything, never prying. a very safe area, spotless facilities, nice kitchen , private and accommodating. The common areas downstairs felt a little sterile. If i would have enjoyed the common areas more i would have turned on the cooling. But it’s such an open space that cooling the whole thing feels wasteful. a few more soft touches would be nice to damper the echos off the beautiful marble.
- Radoslaw (9/5): Superb -
- Jairo (9/5): Superb -
- Michal (10/5): The safest, cleanst place to stay. - Lovely place, clean and very friendly. fills like home 🤩
- Juan (10/5): Maru was super helpful and friendly - The house was awesome Breakfast was a bit short
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional - we were really well received. The owners are happy to answer all your questions. we recommend this establishment, which was really beautiful
