Guest Reviews
- Jaume (3/5): Not recomended - Good location, the only good thing. When we arrived it was very hot, impossible to sleep and super noisy. We contacted qwith the owner and took 2 days to find a solution. The radiators were broken and it was impossible to regulate the temperature. The only solution was to shut it down completly and the rest of the days it was cold. Also as it was working non stop the heating, it was extreamly noisy, we has 2 terrible nights.
- Livesay (5/5): - The location was very central which is wonderful, it was easy to get to everything we had planned Unfortunately the property was located up 5 flights of stairs which were very old (there was an old nail poking up out of one of them) and the property itself felt quite unclean.
- Castro (10/5): -
- Philip Smith (9/5): Great accommodation in New York. - 3 bedroom for family to sleep in different bedrooms, kitchen facilities, location. 5 flights of stairs with large suitcase. Hot water took a while to kick in.
- Ringeisen (1/5): -
- Webber (7/5): Perfect place at the right price to explore the Big Apple - This property is ideal for those wishing to experience all that New York has to offer. We were there for seven days and could walk everywhere - although the apartment is literally next to a subway station. We walked up to Central Park along Fifth Avenue one day, then across to Times Square the Hudson and the High Line another day. We walked down to Ground Zero then across the Brooklyn Bridge to watch a basket ball game. Everything was about a one hour walk so really convenient for all the highlights. The apartment was great value got money considering the location and had everything we needed. It states clearly it is on the fifth floor so do not book here if you have mobility issues. It is also noisy - it is the city that never sleeps with people and general street noise at 2am, sirens at 3am, deliveries at 4am and then traffic from 6am. None of these were as issue for us as we felt we had been made aware of it by reviews and therefore does not count as a negative in my mind. There is also plenty of hot water which was important for our family of five who all like steaming hot showers. Be prepared to wait for the hot water to gone through though. (A good three minutes). It was well equipped however and comfortable. It would haven been nice to have a couple of extra chairs (folding ones would be fine) to use around the kitchen table for eating or playing cards.
- petar (10/5): - Everything No elevator but not a big problem, only for the luggage.
- Tania (6/5): Great location for a family. Keep in mind no elevator. On a busy street, but hey it’s New York!! - Location was great. Close to subway and supermarket. Enough room for 5 adults comfortably. The front room facing 28th St was very noisy. The reason being the aircon in the window with only thin paper like material covering the rest of the window. Not sure what can be done about it, but pick the back room to sleep!!!
Stair case was very dirty, bit of a worry when you first enter the building. Garbage was stacked up on one of the levels and smelt, another worrying factor when entering the building for the first time.
Facilities included on the Booking.com site said toilet paper, but when we used the only roll in the bathroom we asked for more we were advised toilet paper not included and to go and buy our own.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (1/5): Not recommended, poor customer service, cold, dirty laundry and rotten milk. - Location was great. Air conditioners left in so outside freezing air was aloud in through numerous holes and openings around the window air conditioners. Contacted the property the first night due to being freezing and requesting a refund or fix. I was told I would get a $200 refund over 2 weeks later no refund. I don’t even feel that is enough I didn’t intend on paying $500 a night for what I would classify as a rustic stay! I used a basket of dirty towels that were left in a bedroom closet to close up as many holes and insulate the inside from the outside as much as possible and used electric heaters to try to stay warm the second night. There were also only three clean towels and a full basket of dirty laundry towels and sheets left in one of the bedroom closets. There was a half gallon of routine milk left in the closet. Also the ad never said it’s on the 5th floor with no elevator upper floor vs 5 floors makes a difference to me when traveling with young children.
- Sara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (7/5): Fantastically exhausting - A full kitchen with 3 bedrooms at a great price and the location was PERFECT!!! 5 flights of stairs and not having control over the temp
- Haroon (7/5): Awsome location and very nice little cozy place to stay - Location was Awesome. Very convenient literally 50 feet from subway station.
It was really fully furnished with everything you can imagine to have a working place was available. The only downside for me was the fact that these apartments are on 4th and 5th floor. I was on 5th floor. The stairs are very small and i was traveling with kids and with three mid sized bags it was a hell of a task to go up 60 stairs to the apartment. And after a full day of walking in the city entering the building with 60 stairs waiting for you was painful.
But if stairs are no problem then it is really a very nice and comfortable place
