Guest Reviews
- Colm (3/5): I wouldn’t book it again - Good location The entrance was filthy and it smelled the carpet was disgusting
No sheets or pillows for the sofa bed I had to sleep on
- Temitayo (10/5): - The location is quite impressive. Proximity to bus stops and the shops.
- Fern (8/5): -
- ben (4/5): - Lots of room Awkward setting. Everything was a trial.
Parking was a nightmare, entrance steps steep and lights kept going off before arriving at the door.
Rooms unattractive and very basic, savage door closures stopping any normal transitions between rooms .
The only bathroom was small and dismal.
Taps were loose and turned on the sink, so you have hold them with two hands to use.
Shower was absolutely useless and leaked from the wall. Bedroom windows were shared with the next room and tiny.
Decor sadly needing some upgrades.
A scruffy apartment.
- Victoria (3/5): Poor -
- Anonymous (4/5): Was ok but not the greatest - The double bed was comfy, communication with regards to keys and entry to the property was great 👍 The photos of the property do make it look alot more glamorous than it actually is. The building does need a few repairs and you can notice all the repairs it has had done over the years,
The double bedroom door handle fell of as closing it but luckily I grabbed the door before I got stuck in there.
You can hear everything that's going on out side even with all the windows closed.
The shower head could only be set in one place not so great for a tall person.
None of the locks on the toilet room or bath room actually locked .🤭
One of the fans in the bedroom was broken so couldn't use it .
- Ben (2/5): Very poor - Lots of living space Bathroom too small for the number of beds.
Poor condition of taps and shower.
Bedroom windows awkward and to small
Door closures very strong and no way to hold open when needed.
Light timers to short so leaves you in the dark
Parking is a complete nightmare, no guidance at all.
Generally rough and in need of updating.
Definitely not stunning
- Vicky (7/5): Great for our needs - Quirky place with enough beds for all , nice clean bedding and towels smelled good. Decent location. Fans in rooms. It’s in need of a refurb but it was perfect for our needs Hot water in shower cubicle went off for some of the guests, so we had to hand hold the shower head on bath taps which wasn’t very strong flow
Very warm in flat upon arrival and fans moved hot air around until room cooled with open windows.
- Deepa (5/5): It was ok for 1 night. The place needs updating and some fixing - The location was nice with lots of cool small businesses around selling various products like cheese, wine, baked goods etc The door stoppers did work, the handle in my room door was broken, bathroom lock needs fixing and kitchen only had some glasses and mugs. No plates, no wine glasses and hardly anything else.
- Walker (8/5): Perfect for a short getaway with friends! Location is perfect and the flat was very spacious! Would definitely stay here - Really spacious and very central! Close to all bus routes. The owner was really quick with questions we had and the checking in process was really easy. It needs a little tlc. The carpet did trip me up a few times as it had come away from the floor. But the value for money was fantastic and I would 100% stay here again.
- Steve (8/5): Very good - Good location, easy check in, Double bed had a strange lump in middle of it
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious flat. Very good location easy to get to public transport. N/a
- John-paul (9/5): Superb -
- Grainne (6/5): Pleasant - It was extremely clean. Fans in every room was greatly appreciated. The decor in the bathroom was tired and torn. The shower was inconsistent in temperature but mostly cold, there were no plugs for the bath so kids couldn't have a bath. There was nothing in the kitchen to clean or dry dishes or counter tops. It was very good value for money and an excellent location though the noise from the wine bar below was not mentioned in any of the description online and the word STUNNING in the descriptor is seriously misleading! Very clean and tidy but definitely not stunning.
- Eva (6/5): Good value for the price. - Very good location. Clean bedrooms. The towels were smelling after cigarettes. Had an issue on the first night with the neighbours as they were ringing the bell from 2-5am . The response from the host wasn’t very satisfying they may forgot the keys or something.
- Bennett (6/5): Visit was really good - There wasn’t much to it and it didn’t look as nice as it did online however for the price it was good.
- Ranjit (6/5): Pleasant -
- Joshua (6/5): Pleasant -
- Réka (9/5): Superb - The apartment was huge and 7 of us could fit comfortably. It was a bit far away from the center, we had to travel 50 minutes to get there.
- Paul (7/5): Good - Location was great and the house was always lovely and warm. Apartment was really comfortable and spacious and tv and entertainment system was really good. Shower head was loose and kept falling down and there was a smell of sewerage from the bathroom on the second day which cleared when we left the fan on in the bathroom.
- Isabella (7/5): Great budget accommodation - Flat is in a great location. Lovely cafes and small independent shops nearby. Easy to find and very quiet despite bring on main road
Host was great at keeping us up to date and ensuring we arrived ok
Great room sizes and flat was really warm It’s very dated. Needs a good bit of TLC and decor but then that would increase price
Lack of wine or beer glasses in kitchen
- Diluminda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (8/5): Well look after property near Ally Pally - Great location for Ally Pally and the darts. Loads of Bars and restaurants local. Near the bus route to Ally Pally to save the hill walk. Host gave clear instructions the day before to access property. Parking was the issue as is the case for most of London so used ‘park on my drive’ to get a local parking spot.
- Nikolić (9/5): Superb - Clean, great location with near bus station connected with metro, contains everything you need, truthful photos, enough space for more than six people, safe location, supermarkets are near. Problem with key safe while checking in.
- Rhianne (8/5): We stayed in London so we could see the sights and go to London zoo the next day. It was convenient to stay as it's - Loved how big it was, so all the kids had their own space. Really appreciated that there was fairy liquid, and a cloth, kitchen roll, toilet roll, towels, etc, really made it a home from home. There's a few things that could do with sprucing up, such as the bathroom floor etc but nothing that effected our stay. And we would stay again if they would have us.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nereu (9/5): Superb -
- Gea (9/5): Superb - Clean. Easy and quick access on arrival. Spacious. Good value for money. Easy access with public transport (bus). Could have used a few more thick duveys or some blankets as we only had two thick duveys and it got quite cold at night with the thin duveys. Other than that we have no complaints.
- Sharon (8/5): Fantastic position and suited our purpose - Great location Needed a sharp knife and wine glasses
- Lynda (8/5): Very good -
- Alberto (10/5): Exceptional - Great apartment all was there
- Shymol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmad (1/5): No need photo you can check it your self - Not worth a penny the owner not polite at all not easy to contact him and not safe to leave you stuff at the property Every thing is old and dirty and noisy
- Muhammed (1/5): Overall very bad experience - There is no parking in that area .me and my family with my old mom suffer a lot on that day evening . We travelled 4 hours every body tired .No parking and nobody is not in that property to guide
- Shu (8/5): It was overall a good experience. - The location is very nice. It is located near bus stops with lots of shops nearby. The area feels safe and the house in very clean with everything we needed. It has lots of stairs so not so suitable for travellers with heavy luggage.
- Craig (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great, really clean property Very dated property. Also a terrible smell when entering the building. Smells like a morgue, but once up the stairs and in the property it’s fine.
- Jorge (4/5): Not stunning. Not recomenended for old people. - Price Apartment has too many stairs. Since you open the door there are stairs. Then you open other door and again more stairs.
To go to bedrooms again stairs. To go to bathroom you have to down stairs. So this is not good for old people, very dangerous for them. They have to inform before reservation. For us was not stunning and not good for old people that were with us.
- Alvis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michelle (10/5): Fantastic - Great location! Plenty of space It was a very comfortable place to stay in!
- Lee (9/5): Get leave to relax but still have access to the city - Very easy instructions on how to access and great transport links (Central London in less than 30 mins). Lots of space and room to relax No plug for the bathtub and the pillows (my personal preference, the rest of the group enjoyed them)
- Hannah (8/5): Perfect for a few nights away in a fab location - Fantastic location in Crouch End
- Pardeep (9/5): Superb -
- Andypen (8/5): Very good -
- Serkan (9/5): Cozy, comfortable, fully furnished apartment - Apartment is clean and comfortable. It’s good for families. There is all stuff you need even for long stays. Owner is so friendly and helpful. It’s an old apartment and there are 3 stores up to bedrooms, so you need to climb all that steep and narrow stairs.
- Marta (9/5): Well money spend - Nice place, very good location, easy to commute Only one bathroom
- Laurie (9/5): Superb -
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean apartment, with plenty of amenities, close to the w7 bus which takes you straight to Finsbury Park subway Station. As a family of 5 we had plenty of space in the apartment.
- Ernesta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lyndsey (8/5): Very good -
- John (8/5): Great stay - Fantastic location easy walking distance to Alexandra Palace.
Well equipped flat .Host very good Decoration
- Kamil (10/5): Exceptional - This was really pretty flat for rent. If I had a choice I would take it once again A little bit far from the city centre.
- Faye (10/5): Lovely place - Loads of beds, in middle is town, loads shops and restaurants right by. House was modern and clean. Lots stairs but valid for flat above shops. One of the rooms that leads out to small balcony your not able to close from inside so have to go out side and climb back in other window to close the window.
- Anmarie (8/5): Very good -
- Ziu (10/5): I definitely recommend the place, good location to be in London, and there are a lot of cafes around, highly recommended - Cozy place N/a
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mihaiad (9/5): Superb -
- Nicholas (8/5): Perfect venue for events at the Alexandra Palace - Host was very accommodating for our early check in and was very quick with his responses.
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (6/5): Good location and presentation but cold - Was very clean and tidy We were there in January and it was very cold. Two of the single beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were very thick (I know that sounds petty but we all had poor nights sleep because of this).
- Abelina (8/5): Lovely location! - We really loved the area, lovely shops, pubs and food places.
Buses to take you to London center in 40 min.
The place is clean and confortableq, nice and warm.
We would have loved a few extra blankets for the beds as it was pretty cold at night and the duvets thin.
Also the pillows were very high and for us, uncomfortable.
The mattresses were very comfortable.
Good communication with the owner.
We had a very nice 3 days at the property. Tip:some different pillows!
Also a manual for the TV.
- Camilla (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely rooms and everything was very clean and tidy. would use again! there was no tumble dryer as advertised on rhe booking if I had to be really fussy.
- Diana (1/5): Horribly cold flat with no thermostat with an owner that doesn’t give a crap - We arrived at night on a Saturday and it was very cold and we were quite tired from traveling. There were numerous flights of stairs (not in the description and we had a toddler with us, senior grandparents and quite a few luggages).
It was about 60 degrees F / 15 degrees C in the flat. Also, the stove didn’t turn on. I called the owner and he purposefully did not answer, but insisted on texting instead. He claimed there was a thermostat in the kitchen that did not exist. He would not call or FaceTime to show me. And he sent a picture of the fake thermostat and told me “it’s not cold.” My husband’s parents and toddler, my husband and I were freezing through the one night we were there. It was an absolutely horrible experience and the owner did not even attempt to help or send someone over to address the cold.
You do not treat people like that.
I have never had a worse experience at a rental property in my life.
- Peter (8/5): Very good - nothing
- Auke (8/5): With some home inprovemet it would-be indeed stunning - Location. Atmosphere. Number of rooms and beds Heating didnt work in the shower. Blankets were to thin.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - I loved having all the rooms, and the wifi and the TV were great with lots of channels to choose from. The kitchen was well stocked, and the apt had a nice view. The beds were pretty comfy, too. The location was very close to many bus routes, which I so appreciated!! The host was also very accommodating. I enjoyed my stay!! I did not like the multiple flights of steps from the ground floor entrance up to the apartment, up to the living room, up to the bedrooms. Tough with heavy luggage!
- Gajewska (7/5): Good -
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ari (9/5): Superb - bus stopped very close to the flat, lovely view of crouch end, the flat was really nicely furnished, clean and welcoming. host was great, communicated everything brilliantly, we really enjoyed our stay!
- Steven (9/5): Superb -
- Junichi (4/5): The security is the most important thing. - There are many great restaurants in the area. We needed 5 beds, so 3 bedrooms at this price was ideal. Someone pressed the buzzer every midnight. It looked like a middle-aged man. We could not sleep well. We found that security is the most important thing when considering where to stay.
- Sebastian (9/5): Nice neighborhood - Clean and comfortable
- Diane (6/5): Pleasant - Everything Nothing
- Francesco (10/5): very clean and new apartment - very clean and new
- Robert (10/5): beautiful apartment - You could see the flat was completely refurbished and everything was new.
The lounge was very spacious and beautiful
