• Dearbháil (8/5): Perfect home for a family getaway - The house was beautiful. Very clean and quaint. The pizza oven was great and we had a lovely night making pizzas and watching a movie with our 3 year old. There was a bottle of bubbly in the fridge for our arrival, which was a lovely touch as it was my Husbands birthday. It was the perfect spot for a quiet family getaway. The house next door was pretty much on top of us so you couldn't really sit out the front of the house for fear of being too noisy. However, there is a seperate seating area at the back of the home by the BBQ so we used this instead.

Stay was excellent. - The location was absolutely excellent — just steps from the beach and only a very short trip to all the major attractions in the area. It made getting around incredibly easy and added so much convenience to our stay. The property owner was also exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and we truly appreciated the hospitality.

• Jennifer (8/5): Great house, great location. Thank you Howard! - Howard was very welcoming and met us when we arrived. He was around if needed and was very welcoming of feedback on the property. Great location, a short drive from Cowes and San Remo but far away enough to be quiet. Comfortable rooms and beds with a spacious kitchen. Beautiful garden and there were two pizza ovens! We had issues with the washing machine and leaking air conditioner upstairs. Advised Howard of these issues when we were leaving and he was very appreciative and thanked us for our feedback! Lovely room upstairs for my husband and I to read books/watch TV when the kids were asleep downstairs. The floors needed a good vacuum when we arrived but we couldn't find a vacuum. Other than that, it is a great property and we will definitely stay there if we visit Phillip Island again!

• Jayde (8/5): Would stay again - Pizza oven was amazing, loved the fire and also the bottle of champagne that was provided. The shower is huge but the door only opens inwards and doesn’t leave much space to actually get in the shower properly. We had to push ourselves up against the shower wall to get in. Would definitely be better if it opened outwards or was a sliding door.

• DEBORAH (10/5): Splendid Property - Everything about this property was perfect. The accommodation was exceptional. Spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. The owner was there to greet us on arrival and was very kind to have left a bottle of bubbles in the fridge for my husband's birthday. The property was a few minutes walk away from the beautiful surf beach and sand dunes.( Unfortunately no dogs allowed on this beach) We had our two dogs with us, so had to go to Woollami dog beach instead which was only a few minutes in the car. Amazing short break and will definitely be back as well as recommending it to our friends and family.

• Jo (10/5): Exceptional - This place was amazing and beyond expectations. Both of us including Bella our bull terrier thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and garden. The fence around the property was very secure and felt safe at all times. Howard, our host was on site when we arrived and left us to our own devices throughout the stay. Would recommend this stay to anyone visiting Phillip Island. 10 out of 10 👍 N/A

Electric blankets on beds not necessary in summer, uncomfortable for sleeping, possibly a topper would make a difference but this is a minor criticism, still managed to get a good night’s sleep.

The bbq and pizza oven was a great way of enjoying the beautiful outdoor area,The gardens were really lovely with fresh herbs growing which I utilized while cooking. Having two television with streaming services was great and the upstairs lounge provided plenty of books for reading also. Overall the stay had a lovely ambience,location and was also very close to a great beach and Forrest Caves. Howard was very helpful and friendly and we were very happy with our time there.

• Marina (10/5): We loved the place and the attention to detail - There were all the condiments necessary but we didn’t use any of the breakfast foods Took us until the last day to realise there was a second shelving cupboard behind the main one that had toaster ,glad wrap etc We thought the place was beautifully built ,great workmanship but now with my daughters baby crawling everywhere the open stair case would not be suitable in the future We had to put our porta cot in the laundry Perhaps a blind on the door would have helped to keep the light out

• Richsteig (10/5): A real retreat! - The house was very comfortable with good heating including an open fireplace where we toasted marshmallows. The upstairs room was a hit with our family as it was a great relaxation space. Howard's place has everything you need for a lovely family getaway, the kitchen table was large and accommodated family boardgames night easily. We made use of the smaller pizza oven and it was excellent, first time I've made pizza dough! Five minute walk to a magnificent beach (not recommended for swimming) and within walking distance to Forrest caves. Close to the Chocolate factory and Churchill island as well. The gardens surrounding the house were really nice and added to the 'getaway' feel looking at them from inside the house. Our dog was secure and safe with a high wall all around The complimentary sparkling wine was a perfect touch too, thank you Howard! He was also able to assist us immediately when we first arrived. All round wonderful stay at a wonderful place. Very minor, but perhaps some drawers in the first bedroom to unpack.
