- Lukasz (10/5): Family citybreak - great, comfortable, spacious apartment with all equipment. convinient location. great contact with owner. easy checkin
- Susan (7/5): Although we had a few issues I would still recommend the apartment as it is clean, comfortable and well located. It just - Location and terrace. The property was nicely appointed but lacked a few finishing touches and we had a few small issues.
1. City tax was more than specified on booking.com. We had to pay €6.30 each, per day, plus a €2 commission charge which I don’t understand. We were informed that the tax specified on Booking.com of €4.50 was 2 years out of date! Also they wouldn’t accept cash and we had some issues with payment.
2. We were asked to provide passport ID documents and the city tax payment before arrival and told that the check in was ‘self check in’ even though Booking.com stated we would be met at the property. We were wary of doing this as we had already received a confirmed scam contact on this account via the booking.com messaging system. To be fair ,after some persistence, Davide did eventually agree to meet us at the property to sort out the ID.
3. On the first night the air conditioning was not working and we all had an uncomfortable night. We contacted Davide who came the next day and informed us it had been incorrectly set on the winter setting. We appreciate Davide coming out quickly to sort this out but it really should have been checked and sorted prior to our arrival.
4. We note on previous reviews that the front door handle fell off, the light on the master bedroom is not working, no hand wash in master bedroom, no tea towel. These issues are still outstanding. We would also expect a ‘luxury” apartment to provide shower gel and decent sized towels (quite small towels were provided).
5. The bed in the second bedroom was a sofa bed. Although it was quite comfy you would expect an actual bed in a room designated as a bedroom.
6. Again, as a ‘luxury’ apartment and for what we paid it would have been a nice touch to have some water in the fridge and perhaps even a bottle of milk on arrival.
- Lucas (7/5): Great location and lovely apartment- just a few thing let it down - The property was lovely and is fitted out nicely. It’s a great location and very walkable to the park, castle and Duomo. As good as the property was - there were a few disappointing elements - especially what we paid.
We arrived and the door handles fell off. We took photos and sent to the owner who didn’t seem too fussed. It was tricky at times getting in and out as you couldn’t pull the handle or it would fall off.
Also the master bedroom didn’t have a main light - or at least one that was working. There was a small lamp but it was not adequate for the room. Your main option for good light in the room was to open the window - not great when you’re getting dressed etc. Again a bit disappointing.
The hot water was also just warm at best. We found the hot water service and managed to tweak it ourselves so we could have a good shower. It was originally set to 37c.
Should not have to sort things like this or follow up - especially for what you pay.
The beds were also pretty basic. The pillows the first night were terrible- but we found others in the wardrobe which were better for the second night.
If these things were not issues it would be great.
