- Yilun (10/5): Super nice mountain view, nice staff waiting for me until 22:00 - Super nice mountain view, nice staff waiting for me until 22:00
- Gabrielle (8/5): Very good -
- Felicity (7/5): Good -
- Les (10/5): Great country pub. - Unique setting. Quality of the food. No complaints.
- Rod (4/5): Disappointing - Having accommodation in such an interesting place Closing to early. Rooms very basic for the price.
- Mick (8/5): Very good -
- Mennie (8/5): Thoroughly enjoyable, and very unique. It truly is a 'Pub in a Paddock', in the middle of nowhere. - Breakfast provided was continental style and plenty of choice. Great little kitchen/eating area. Staff were friendly and helpful and the evening meal was delicious. The showers were spacious and had been upgraded. The window and flyscreen were very ancient and not usable. It would be great if they could be replaced at some point, with materials that fit the era that the pub was built. Fortunately there were no flies or mosquitoes to worry about, as there was nothing to prevent any unwanted 'nasties'from entering the room.
- Yvonne (9/5): Superb -
- Tatiana (9/5): It's ok for one night - The staff is great, the girls are genuinely putting effort to make you have a good staying. The food was great as well. The place is ok for one night. The floor of the room was landed and the bed wasn't as comfortable as it looked. Our room had not accessible power socket, there were two accessible, but there weren't working, the only one working was behind the bed and inaccessible for us.
- Laviolette-rawn (7/5): Good -
- Bessie (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was really nice and kind
Bed was really comfortable
Food was amazing and tasty
- Stephanie (9/5): Laid back, typical Australian farm accomodation - A typical Australian, laid back pub/accomodation on a farm. Pretty cool. There were spiderwebs in the bathroom, so it wasn’t properly inspected every time it was cleaned.
- Moss (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (9/5): Just lovely! Quiet, relaxing and peaceful. -
- Helene (9/5): Superb -
- Kingydav (10/5): Exceptional - The owner Walter was an amazing host - welcoming, attentive, flexible, and threw in some extras. Such a scenic location. Nothing
- Helenr (8/5): Great stay - Thank you for the breakfast items! Great dinner with a fantastic ambience. We enjoyed our visit.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful lamb shanks supper, charming environment and delightful accommodation and staff. A very special
Holiday experience. No worries
- David (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dale (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martyn (9/5): Quirky - great place - Unique-literally a pub in a paddock - great food and atmosphere
- Robert (7/5): An experiance of a pub unchanged since 1880. - Location, views, the pub itself. Our host was very accommodating. We had the only detached cabin available and it was fine for our overnight stopover. We were able to hook into the pub's Wi-Fi. for comms. Although lunches are catered for, the kitchen doesn't always open at night, so best check prior to arriving. We were fortunate that we were able to dine in, however there was an upright cooker in the room, so we could have self catered if necessary. There was no door on the bathroom/toilet. A simple fix. There was no TV, however it could be that there was no signal, however a workaround using the pubs Wi-Fi fixed that.
- Deb (8/5): So glad I got to stay here. Just great atmosphere and surrounds. Would love to sit there and paint the hills. Just stunn - Atmosphere, people, location, serenity Doors and bed squeaked a bit and would have been nice to have a bedside table.
- Quentin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (5/5): different - the door from the outside to the passage way of the accommodation was dead bolted from the inside and could not get in and after 10 minutes of banging on the door old mate in room no. 3 let us in
- Garry (4/5): Disappointing - No milk no water no plates for toast not enough coffee cups only had coco pops for cereal.
- Stuart (7/5): Walter is hilarious, a real classic and had me in stitches from the get go...location is excellent. - The owners are absolute legends, laid back, kind and friendly.
Some great memorabilia on the walls, a log fire as well, plenty of areas to take in the ambience.
Location perfect... free parking for caravans onsite I hear..
The home cooked meals looked great.
Definately support the owners and stay there, they are very kind and decent people. The beds in our room were too soft and old with sagging sprigs, they must have rested thousands of weary travellers over the years.
They needed new beds.. in the room we stayed in.
Having said that, the linen was clean and fresh, pillows good..room was very cleanly presented.
- Nicolasmorel (9/5): Cosy and spacious shack in great Tasmanian wilderness - Great location, in the beautiful Tasmanian Countryside. Good host, friendly local pub with good food.
The shack has been freshly redone and was comfy, comfortable, with plenty of space and surrounded by a great scenery.
- Tak (6/5): Comfortable and safe environment to stay. - It is quiet during the holidays period. The restaurant was closed so early due to new year eve.
- Stephanie (5/5): Passable - The information about the small rooms and shared bathroom, showers, refrigerator, etc… it wasn’t too clear in the booking details … they jus highlight their beautiful front and location.
- James (10/5): Exceptional -
- Les (8/5): Very good - A fun stay, basic as expected.. Food and ambience excellent.
- Shaun (2/5): Very poor -
