• Rosetta (1/5): Disappointing stressful experience - Location close to Austin Hospital for surgery The rudeness and self-centred attitude of the manager Daniel at samma linden apartments. Myself and my daughter didn’t receive keys at arrival he threatened to charge us if keys was in drop box it wasn’t. We requested two bathrooms with two rooms only got one bathroom he refused to provide for two bathrooms although we payed for two. On departure we drop keys in drop box he said we didn’t and he refuse to refund our security bond until we said I’m getting a lawyer his attitude change he wouldn’t take our calls I had to go though booking.com to communicate on my behalf. Please people be aware take photo’s of everything you experience sighted that’s not right or you did not do at linden apartment and especially the drop box keys on arrival & departure keys in the drop box. This guy won’t reason. Be aware people a stressful experience.

I liked the convenience of the self check in and out and the explicit instructions with pictures made it a breeze. Super quiet, I didn’t hear a thing so had a great sleep. The bed in the second room was very comfortable with good pillows. Great bathroom, hot water and a spacious apartment. Parking secure and allocated at time of booking, thank you! Wonderful cafe 50m across the Rd called Chef’s Hand - best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had 10/10! The only downside was the bed in the master which was super low and 2 singles pushed together. Incredibly uncomfortable, my 22 y.o. son wouldn’t let me sleep on it with my bad back and in the morning said it is the most uncomfortable bed he has ever slept in.

Complicated key retrieval (another couple had the same issues as us). Didn't like the smart door handle. A bit more attention to the cleaning. Only 1 soup bowl was supplied. The 3 coffee pods supplied weren't compatible with the coffee machine. Missing basic cooking supplies.

Called management who sent cleaning staff, meaning we had to leave and didn’t come back until after 11pm . After coming back we found a banana on the carpet on side of the bed that was rotting . Was told by staff that they would compensate in some way . Which did not happen

We had the apartment at the back of the building which was very quiet, great for sleeping. Too many codes to enter!! One to open the lockbox, another to actually access the keys from within another box (which didn't work so then had to telephone the assistant to enable remotely, not great after an 8 hour drive!!), actually the lockbox in a dodgy position especially when you arrive in the dark! Yet another code once you approach your apartment door! Positioning of the allocated carpark for our car soooo confusing and hard to find. No rhyme or reason, phoned assistant again who sent me a map via text. Samma apartments, may I suggest once you receive your keys, being able to scan to enter your room would be a lot easier! A map before arriving to show the position of your allotted car space would be handy too!

• Erin (8/5): Very good - The apartment is good value for money with everything you need for a short, or long stay. Good size apartment with 2 bathrooms, balcony. Picking up the keys and accessing car park is a little complicated having to go to different areas and then there are absolutely no signage in the car park and car parks in random order. Was quite confusing to find even with the detailed directions given. Small things need attention like making sure all appliances working, Nespresso machine wasn’t working (was replaced), also noticed a vacuum and clock not working in apartment. Main bed is also not very comfortable.

It was neat and fairly new so that was great, the gym was handy. It was great to have 2 bathrooms, 2 full bedrooms, and a washer and dryer. The apartment was at the back of the building so no noise from Bell Street and the building itself was very quiet which was great. The kitchen was nice but needs to be a bit more stocked such as a bigger chopping board, oil, the salt and pepper was empty, just a few things to make staying there easier and cooking when needed. Otherwise the kitchen was great. The rug in the lounge room was very stained, the whole place was nice so that let it down a bit.

• Grace (9/5): Stylish, comfortable, safe luxury apartment. - Easy to follow key collection instructions, great response time from the reception when the electronic key lock wasn't working properly, comfortable beds, stylishly furnished new luxury apartment. Well set up for a week stay, easy to find, double glazed windows for a very quiet stay inside. Safe underground secure parking. Felt very safe at all times. Being on a main road meant it was a little difficult to turn across the 2 lanes of traffic to get into the driveway, depending on direction of travel. We got the hang of it, but being used to rural and regional driving, it was a change! The key safe location needs a bit of a clean up - some hard rubbish had been dumped there at some point and made it look a bit sketchy. Turns out it's not sketchy at all (it's lovely), but not the best first impression.

• Cathy (5/5): Passable - As a warning to other users of Samma Linden, take pics of the room showing you have left it in good condition and pics or video showing you have placed the fob key in the return box. After checking out and returning the fob keys received a email saying housekeeping have said the keys had not been returned and need to returned immediately. Of course said that was untrue and provided video showing the keys being returned. Had we not had that proof we would have lost our deposit. Still took 2 days and another email requesting the deposit to be returned. Phone numbers did not connect to either number. The unit itself served the purpose we required, the lack of contact and being asked to return keys that had already been returned certainty very disappointing. The ensuite bathroom had stains of a interesting look on the ceiling and down the wall. Sheets obviously been washed and pressed but stains, maybe a bit of nappy sand in the wash cycle.

It was very well stocked. The decor was modern and very tasteful. Correspondence with the property managers was prompt when required through messaging. A really great apartment to stay in! Would recommend if not for issues below. Check in was not easy. We received about 10 emails and 5 messages with 'instructions' about checking in before arriving, then more emails during our stay. We were forever scrolling between emails to find the correct one. When we arrived the cupboard sliding door to the main bedroom was off its rail, crooked and jammed tight. Could not be opened! This cupboard contained the iron and ironing board which was needed for a dinner we attended!! It was not fixed until late on the second day of our stay. It was also concerning that the property did not know the doors were jammed as had they been "broken" how could we prove it wasn't our fault! Then after leaving, we received an email informing us that after reviewing their records we had been identified as guests who had 'broken plants in the foyer' and that our damage deposit was being withheld until damage costs could be assessed!!. After contacting the property we were informed "wrong guests" This whole incident was very distressing! Suggest next time a phone call to the guests first to check their information would be more appropriate than sending an email accusing guests of damage.

• Greg (7/5): Lacking in basic complimentary welcoming items. - The location was OK and within about 15 - 20 mins drive from CBD. We did not use public transport Initially, bit confused in finding keys and accessing residence in spite of instructions. Not enough cutlery knives/ forks nor drinking glasses for 4 persons. Very basic with only 3 sets in some cases so was a never ending job to use and wash during meal times. Ended up buying some cheap party cutlery to see us through. Looks like the cleaners don't do much of a job missing cigarette butts on the balcony floor from previous occupants. Not much by way of complimentary toiletries. No bins in bathrooms. WiFi was a bit dodgy. No resturants close with the exception of Maccas (Yuck) opposite. Nearest retail shops and eateries are in Ivanhoe. Woollies and Adli about 5 mins drive in either direction. Adjoining neighbour was a nocturnal noise maker. Crying baby and banging around till early hours. Always had the balcony doors open and they were chucking stuff on the roof outside our main suite. Smoke detectors have disabled which is against the law. In closing, think the tariff is a tad over the top considering what you don't get.

• John (9/5): Superb - The apartment is great and comfy beds. Excellent location for us. Could do with a few more plates etc, there was only one breakfast bowl!

• Erin (6/5): New, clean and nice but needs some better instructions for parking and allocation of unit park etc - Was new and modern and clean Finding the allocated park was difficult as there was no signage to state which level basement we were on nor were the parking numbers in any sort of numeric order or anything. It was very very confusing. There was also no complimentary milk with the complimentary tea and coffee to be able to have a coffee.
