Guest Reviews
- Ian (8/5): Great location. - Great location.
- Neil (7/5): Rustic property but not far from the bay of fires - The house was located a few mins drive to the bay of fires. The property is rustic and old.
The shower is old and tiny, heater in the lounge did not work.
It could do with a little updating and renovation.
- Rob (10/5): amazing little gem in an amazing coastal township - Host's were super helpful, the accommodation had a super cool vibe about it and the outdoor areas were just stunning.
Comfy beds too. I really enjoyed the stay at Driftwood Rest Actually I couldn't fault this property......
- jane (10/5): Relaxing in comfort - The view pool garden location Nothing
- Jack (9/5): - We loved the house and how it was presented. Especially loved the outside bath and fire place. The location and water view was very nice.
- Nicole (10/5): Quite calm in a stunning part of the world - Cottage was clean and well appointed with partial views of the bay. Comfortable and very quiet. Pleasant 15-20 minute walk down to the beach, however quite steep on return. Backyard is lovely with lots of native shrubs and trees. Large deck with lounge, bbq and brick fire place. A nice inclusion was lots of books, board games and outdoor games. Binalong Bay and surrounds boast turquoise waters and white sands, contrasting with the granite boulders with orange lichen making the entire area stunning on a sunny day.

- Michelle (7/5): A nice place to stay during the warmer months - Outdoor facilities were great and would be awesome to use in the warmer months but we didn’t utilise them during our stay. The heating was a real issue on our first night as the electric wall heater would not work properly, as the buttons were stuck down and we had a very cold nights stay. Quite an outdated style of heater with a wall thermostat. We contacted the host the next morning and with another try we got the heating going properly. Shouldn’t be ‘tricky’ to operate as we were told.

- Ebony (10/5): Exceptional - We had the most incredible stay at Driftwood Rest. Communication from the host was thorough, the bed was very comfy and we absolutely loved using the outdoor bath & fireplace - which had a generous amount of firewood provided! We also couldn’t have asked for a better location. We will definitely be back!
- Holly (10/5): Beautiful property, great location with wonderful facilities! - Beautiful property, we saw the southern lights which was just magical, it was in a great location and we loved our stay, especially the outdoor area, a hot outdoor shower after a very cold swim was bliss! The automated messages afterwards that said [insert property city] in them instead of Binalong bay, doesn’t make customers feels very special or like it’s a personal experience

- Nicole (10/5): The perfect place to stay in Binalong Bay! - Driftwood Rest was the perfect place to stay in Binalong Bay. It was tucked away on a small hill away from the business of the beach, but also close enough to walk down so you don't ahve to worry about parking. It had a beautiful view of the water and the red rocks from the living room, the perfect way to watch sunrise/sunset. It had Netflix logged in, so we were able to enjoy watching some movies to wind down in the evening. Will definitely stay longer next time - 1 night wasn't enough!
- Margie (9/5): Superb -
- Duncan (8/5): Very good - Location, nice decor, big kitchen, beautiful outdoor fireplace. A little cold, general heating didn't work well in the living room. Little heaters in bedroom worked well.

- Elaine (9/5): Very enjoyable stay at Binalong Bay - enjoying Tasmania's east coast area - Decor had been given a lot of thought and suited the era of the property perfectly. Outdoor area at rear of house was perfect for comfortable relaxation. Heating and cooling totally covered with wall heater plus ceiling fans. Bed linen & towels high quality. Nothing to dislike except we had to finish our holiday.
