Guest Reviews
- Kiran Chandra (8/5): Palazzo style home, sweet and attentive staff. Very accessible location. - A house full of charm and character. Ensuite rooms. Elevator access for older people. Communicative agents who are in charge of the property. The beds are small: so only the master bedroom sleeps 2 people comfortably. The beds in the smaller rooms are realistically for one adult and an adult and a small child. I had to sleep on the sofa. The motion activated lights were an annoyance, as they were very bright. So if you are partial to mood lighting, be prepared!
- Michael (9/5): Schöner Aufenthalt mitten in Rom an der Spanischen Treppe - Sehr zentrale Lage. Große Wohnung mit viel Platz für 5 Personen. Die Bewegungsmelder für das Licht nerven ein wenig.
- Anish (10/5): - Excellent apartment. Very good for 7 or 8 people. Lavish and luxury living on the Spanish steps. Excellent location. Well maintained apartment & close to restaurants, shopping areas, tourist attractions & public transport. Would’ve preferred if there was a washing machine in the apartment.
- Claire (10/5): Amazing stay in Rome, I would totally recommend staying here - Absolutely AMAZING Its location
It’s charm
Cosy and clean
- Joy (1/5): Know what your needs are, don't trust pictures, and know that you will not get any service. - The location was right on the steps. Pictures are not accurate. They make the place look fresh, spacious and lovely. The apartment is strangely decorated with an odd collection of furniture which appears gathered from yard sales. Curtains are not hanging correctly - coming off their hooks. When we moved a chair, the arm fell off. There was an odd sort of mold or dusty smell when we walked in. My friend's allergies flared over night. The deck is tiny - more like a small space to smoke which it appears to be based on the ashtray. Only the bathrooms were nice. We could not get the stove to work..maybe instructions should be included? There is a coffee machine but no pods. (we mentioned that to the gentleman that let us in but he did not seem to be worried about it) Absolutely nothing but some shampoo is provided. Make sure you come early enough to go shopping and open up the place. Important to note is that your cab cannot drive up to the door. They have to stop about 1/2 block away in the parking lot. In our case, our luggage was delayed at the airport which was lucky because the two of us had 4 large suitcases and 3 carry ons (we were on a long trip). We would have had to lug them up the street somehow, then get them in in the tiny elevator a few at a time (there is a key for the elevator and a key for your floor). Not a place for two women with lots of luggage. We only stayed one night and we went to a lovely hotel very close by and had a wonderful time there. We lost all our money on this place. No consideration at all. Lastly, I can't see any reason why someone would want to stay here when they are on vacation. You would have to hunt down a store to stock up even just for water. It's a big city where you want to have a lovely hotel with amenities and service, and, even with booking two rooms there it was less expensive (no additional fees).
- Edward (10/5): Great location and beautiful accommodations. - Great location, very spacious. Beautiful artwork.
- Katerina (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (9/5): Most perfect location in Rome with a beautiful view. - Perfect location, with a lot of space and comfort for 3 friends because it still gave us our own personal privacy. 24 hotline was helpful too. I would recommend it highly and would certainly stay here again.
My suggestion is maybe the white lights in the dining room could be replaced with warmer, softer bulbs.
It was nice to have met the charming owner of the apt and the building too.
- Jane (10/5): A beautiful clean, comfortable apartment in the best location, would recommend a stay here - We had a friendly warm welcome on arrival, lots of help with any questions on location and getting around.
The apartment is large, beautiful, very clean with comfortable beds, and with every facility you would need. Even though you are in a busy area the windows shut out all the noise and the balcony is such a bonus to spend time relaxing with a cuppa or glass of wine. The location couldn’t be any better, nice and central with a metro and taxi rank within a short distance.
We loved our stay and would highly recommend a stay here.
- Saud (8/5): Very good - Location, Apartment Wide and Clean The bathroom on the first floor. The water sometimes floated.
- Antony (10/5): Exceptional - Self catering No English speaking tv
- Maria (10/5): Make your visit to Rome a truly memorable one - This is a luxurious and spacious triplex apartment right next to the Spanish Steps full of genuine antiques, paintings and drapings. It was impeccably clean. The staff from the renting agency taking care of the property were extremely accomodating and responded quickly to my every query. I have been to Rome tens of times and have stayed at different hotels and apartments but I must say that this apartment was by far the best accomodation I have ever stayed at. This fantastic apartment made our holiday in Rome a truly memorable one.
- Larry (9/5): Great location, good value, historical and and apartment was as described. - Location, wifi, TV Bed weren't very comfortable and one was a hazard to bump your leg on. Stairs in the apartment were inconvenient and one set was very slick. Could have used another set of towels. Biggest disappointment was Booking.com was supposed to provide transportation from the airport but the driver didn't show up and Booking.com was no help in resolving. This cost me an out of pocket taxi fee. The cost of transportation from the airport was supposed to be included in the price paid for the apartment.
- Jane (8/5): location difficult to beat, walking distance to restuarants and sights, spacious living areas, huge master bedroom and - Fantastic location, spacious and comfortable. Good service from agent sadly the water was not hot in two of the bathrooms which was problematic especially as we were in Rome for a wedding! The agent did try to help but we were on a hectic schedule. Plumber rang me on the Monday but i had already returned home!
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lily (10/5): Thank you to Alessandro for being so helpful and for a very smooth check-in! - the location, facilities.
- Inga (10/5): Amazing stay. - Amazing apartment. Great design. Marvelous view from the windows. Everything was superb.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptionally nice apartment in an exceptionally nice area. - The property was exceptional. Location was great. Side view of the Spanish steps. The apartment was great. Very very spacious. 20 foot ceilings, built in the 15 century. The people responsible for renting the apartment were very disorganized. Maybe it’s just a cultural difference. But they were frustrating to deal with.
- Runi (10/5): Great Property - Location to stay in Rome!!! - Location of the property is very good, Silvia has made extra efforts to arrange for luggage service as we were not familiar with the location of the property. Very easy to connect and responses were very prompt. Owner has been very friendly to greet us and checking if everything was ok with our stay.
Despite the location which was next to the Spanish Steps, we didn't hear any noise in the night and our stay & experiences have been really great by staying in this property.
We would love to come back to this property next time we are in Rome. Instructions to turn on and off the lights could have been added for easier to get familiar with the rooms
Too many locks & keys (feel very safe, though!)
