Guest Reviews
- Erik (2/5): Could be a hidden gem, but not recommend due to serious mold issues. - The apartment is spacious, clean, and generally modern, with a good, well-equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. The location is very convenient (lots of restaurants nearby and engulfed in an authentc Athens atmosphere. There were no issues with hot water or heating (once you figured out how it works) despite some other comments mentioning this. It can be difficult to find at first, as the entrance is hidden behind plant containers, which is especially tricky in the dark. The apartment is located in Exarchia, a trendy, progressive and very left-leaning neighborhood with lots of graffiti and political slogans, which were no problem for me, but may not suit everyone.
The apartment is also very poorly soundproofed, so noise from the neighboring apartment can be quite loud - depending on who is staying there. When the heating is on, the floor expands and creates loud cracking noises, which can be particularly disturbing at night. The smart TV only works with personal streaming subscriptions, as there are no satellite channels.
The biggest issue is a severe mold problem in the bedroom, including on the ceiling, walls, and behind the curtains, which poses a serious health risk. Due to this, I ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room.
In addition, a promised discount because of the mold was never paid, and follow-up messages remained unanswered. (I would be happy to revise the section regarding communication and the offered discount, should the host still respond to my messages and show some goodwill.)

- lea (9/5): New modern apartment in cool area (Exarcheia) - - spacious apartment, everything new and very clean
- the balcony
- comfortable bed, pillows and duvet
- kitchen with everything you need
- the area around with lots of nice shops, cafes, restaurants etc.
- only a 20 minute walk from syntagma square (or 15 minutes by bus)
- separate areas to sleep, cool, work, chill… - the sofa was very uncomfortable and since we came in winter and spend some time inside as well it would have been nicer to have a comfy place besides the bed
- the entrance to the apartment was difficult to find at first. Google Maps shows a different location for the address and the street is very dark. Couldn’t find the apartment for a while and were wondering around with our bags
- big mold stain in the bedroom
- it was pretty cold in the apartment so we definately needed the heating
- You can hear everything from the apartment next door. In our case there was a family with kids and it was super loud almost every day.
- problems turning on the heating at first but got help from a nice staff member on the same day
- Patricia (8/5): Good value, good location, clean, comfortable - Clean, comfortable, nicely renovated, good location It would have helpful to have instructions on how to turn on heat and the boiler when hot water stopped working cause we pressed the wrong button
- Niki (6/5): Modern in progressive area. Boiler broken and not fixed. - The price was good for Athens and the location, allthough this is basically the monthly rent of this apartment and we paid that in 2 weeks.
Comfortable bed and good storage.
Modern apartment.
Very cool neighbourhood but important to stay respectful to locals as overtourism and apartment rentals are a problem and grafitti in the street tells you to go away. There were bread crumbs in the kitchen on arrival and some hair in the bathroom. I had to clean but it was not very time consuming and I didn't have the energy to report it.
When I did report something later, it took several privatr phone numbers, either listed on booking or given in messages to actually reach the right person. I find it unnecessary and it gave me a lot of stress.
The hot water also kept on disappearing and we called for help. It was fixed for 1 day, then it went back yo not working. When we moved in to the flat, we noticed that some plates were oily. So the hot water wasn't working when the previous guest stayed there. How can you then claim that the flat has constant hot water? I had to reset the boiler every day and several times for it to work.
The apartment isn't well insulated and we heard everything in the street. Teenagers smoking and not moving away from our entrance, although they didn't live there. Teenagers urinating in the street in front of our house.
There was always trash in front of the house. The teenagers left cigarettes and super market left over plastics outside the main entrance. The neighbours picked these up in silence. This is a really rough neighbourhood and it depends on what street you stay in.
The apartment was also after we washed our clothes, they were damp for days, making them stink. Stains didn't go away because the washing machine took in cold water because the boiler was off.
The couch was very small and uncomfortable. I could barely sit back and relax.
Someone out a strong headlight-looking spotlight in the abandonded garage in the back on the house and this light disturbed us so much during evenings. My partner is epileptic and strong lights make him dizzy.

- Alena (10/5): Awesome flat in a lively neighbourhood! - Very clean and a lot of amenities. It’s a spacious apartment that easily fits four people with a comfortable bed and sofa as well as a huge shower in a clean bathroom.
The AC worked perfectly.
We loved the neighbourhood of Exarchia. There were lots of bars, restaurants and small boutiques just around the corner, while the street of the apartment was super quiet.
- Andrea (8/5): - The location was good and they were very attentive. I missed some more kitchen equipment honestly, and the cleanliness could have been better. We found a cigarette butt on the ashtray on the balcony (we don't smoke), and the bathroom could have been cleaned a bit better too.
- Elina (10/5): Beautiful place in a nice area - Beautiful, comfortable place in a very nice area. Very clean, excellent contact with the host.
- Naama (10/5): Great place to stay, in a good location - Lovely apartment with everything we needed. Very comfortable, new facilities.
Very nice, young neighborhood with lots of good coffee places, bars and restaurants- opened until very late at night. The place is very quiet and we didn’t hear noises from outside at all. Nothing.
- Daniela (10/5): We really enjoyed our stay and we would come back! - Easy to grab a coffee in the morning, plenty of taverns in the evening. Very spacious flat, clean and well equipped. Easy to get to means of transport, but also around 30 min walk to Acropolis. The owner was very receptive and easy to reach. Should have extra sheets for the extra duvet and pillows. A stain of mould in the bedroom needs to be fixed.
- Nicholas (10/5): A great place to stay in a great location ! - We liked :
