• Adrienne (5/5): Rent a car, keep your expectations low - The space was perfect for our group, large rooms and lots of areas to be together but also have privacy when needed. The location was quiet, and although there was not a lot within walking distance the Breeze restaurant (a hilly 10 min walk) was excellent and we had several meals there. We wound up taking many taxis, and in retrospect really needed a car, even for the small beach within the complex, it was a pretty long walk. All of the drivers who took us around were wonderful and helpful and we spent a lot of time at the beautiful Half Moon Bay beach which is a short drive, and has a wonderful beach bar and restaurant. We were told that the location was far from stores and town, so we took the recommendation from the host to buy groceries for a bunch of meals on our way from the airport. However on the night of our arrival we realized the refrigerator was not working, and all of our groceries had spoiled by the time the refrigerator was replaced over a day later. There was not anywhere to buy more groceries, which was a major problem because of the limited restaurant options nearby and many restaurants including Breeze are closed on Mondays. The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans but did not have a working coffee maker or any basic cooking supplies like salt and pepper. The small pool would have been nice, but had not been filled or cleaned prior to our arrival. The photos of the pool deck were also misleading as our pool backed up onto a rocky dirt area so there was limited space to sit around the pool Some of the other units looked like they did have the pool deck pictured on the website, so seems like it was this particular unit. Communication from the host was inconsistent at best. There was no working safe in the unit to store our passports (2 safes, both broken), the AC units and fans were only accessible by remote control and the remotes were missing. Some of the towels and sheets were visibly stained. Overall it was a good value for the space, we would have been better prepared to have a car and be aware that we would not be spending time at the resort beach or pool. In general, they just did not seem fully prepared for guests.
