Guest Reviews
- Sandra (6/5): Some improvements would make it great - Great location, close to transport pubs and eateries. Good space downstairs for living and kitchen. Coffee machine was great. Bedrooms comfortable As mentioned in previous reviews:, wifi only worked for an hour on first night, and didn’t work for remainder of our stay so no tv as only smart options, no cover on front window so everyone walking by peered in, back door didn’t bolt, front doors hard to open, stairs are very steep and no hand rail so difficult if you have any mobility challenges. The bathroom is downstairs so nocturnal visits are awkward.
- Mohd (2/5): Very poor - I came from Melbourne, just entered the house, the floor was very dirty, with a leaking toilet. There were two rooms but only one room had a fan, the house was too hot. There were no curtains on the windows. People passing by could see inside the house. No privacy. very disappointing. Kettle very dirty
- Xuan (7/5): Good -
- Maureen (8/5): Very good - Great location but steps to bedrooms are very steep especially at night. Blind missing on kitchen window and front door was very difficult to open
- Bogo (8/5): Very good -
- Yixuan (1/5): Shit - No Clean Team
No Service
- Rachel (9/5): Great Overnight Stay , Perfect Location - Great location and clean Unfortunately we where there when it was warm and humid so air con would have been a bonus that’s all
- Alexandra (8/5): Central location, value for money. - Had everything we needed. Unfortunately it was an extremely hot and humid evening in Sydney - daytime temp 38C and even though large fans were provided in the bedrooms it was still an uncomfortable night. Otherwise all okay.
- Ibrahim (10/5): Exceptional - Great place.
- Leah (8/5): Fit a family of 4 well. Was clean and in a good spot. Adding aircon would have made all the difference. - Great location, could walk easily to the harbour and there were nice restaurants close by. No air conditioning was an issue. We had trouble sleeping as it was so hot and steamy but if we opened up the windows and doors it was too noisy.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (1/5): Bad - Location to the city Received check I details and arrived to find property already occupied, had been double booked.
New property provided, not like the property we booked at all.
Property had no a/cons, no screens on doors or windows, couldn't open doors or windows as they didn't open or wouldn't stay open, no ventilation at all.
Cockroaches in the lounge, fan, and light did not work. A fan was provided after complaining, left on doorstep while we were out, 1 tiny plug-in fan for 3 rooms, photo attached.
The bathroom and laundry stank, and the smell went through the property.
To top it off, the sheets provided for the fold out lounge bed had blood stains and rip in them, photos attached.
- Matthew (5/5): Handy location, good place but need to install some sort of cooling for summer stays - This property is not suitable in summer with no aircon and just one standing fan, if you open the windows the mosquitoes come in. Was unable to sleep at this property
- Haskell (7/5): Good -
- Graciela (8/5): Overall good stay as a once of. Good value for money. - Clean property and nicely organised Upstairs has no air conditioning, windows have no fly screen so bugs come in ie mosquitos if you leave it open. Gets hot and stuffy if it’s a warm day. A bit noisy also, from outside noise.
- Alexandra (8/5): Great but would be brilliant if a few minor issues were fixed. - All the important things were good.
Location was perfect - 20 minute walk to Opera House
Comfortable beds
Great shower Minor things that could make it better
Pillows could do with being replaced
Some of the towels were stained with bleach
Earplugs needed to drown out street noise in front bedroom as windows didn't shut properly
Extractor fan in bathroom didn't work.
- Jney (10/5): Cozy - I had a really pleasant stay at this place—it felt like a home away from home. The space was cozy and well-equipped, with everything I needed to relax and feel comfortable, whether I was cooking, watching TV, or just unwinding. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches that made my stay easy and hassle-free, from the convenient amenities to the overall cozy atmosphere.
- Danijela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liza (7/5): Good -
- Jennifer (6/5): Disapointing - The location was really good The stairs are very steep and narrow with a sharp bend at the bottom, there is no hand rail, so very dangerous. The balcony off the bedroom has a rotten wooden rail, if lent on you could be on the street below. Bedding has holes in duvet cover and pillow cases. The house needs a lot of attention. Expensive for the state of accommodation.
- Ma (5/5): Nomal - Good location No beddings when we came. Contact the owner about how to turn on the gas, reply very late. And didn't tell me there is a switch for it.
- Chloe (7/5): Good - Stairs were quite steep.
- Hughes (7/5): Good -
- Appleton (8/5): Very good - Great location and so easy to walk to everything. Comfortable house with all that was needed
- Vohra (10/5): Exceptional -
- B_places (8/5): 2 Bedroom in a convenient location. A short walk to the botanical garden. - Nice accommodation, simple and clean, the first night was cold because it was a freezing winter night and the small space heaters did not warm up the room too fast (It might have sat empty for a while). After contacting the manager we were able to locate the extra blankets in the sofa. We were quite comfortable for the remainder of our stay. Plenty of coffee and tea was included. There could still be a few extra blankets for those extra cold nights. please add hangers in the closets. The key lock box is quite difficult to pry open.
- Slobodetsky (10/5): Excellent location and extremely comfortable. - Excellent location and extremely comfortable. Great host.
- Loretta (7/5): Overall good. - This is a good property with an excellent location with relatively easy access to public transport (Kings Cross Station and 311 bus)
Walking distance to Botanical Gardens and Ooera House. Seemed quite safe. Overall good especially for a shorter stay than we had. We were a party of 4 and used the sofa bed which didn’t clip together properly, there were no extra blankets available ( property was cold as it was winter) Requests for extra blankets were not met by the hosts.
We had a long stay of 9 nights and the kitchen plug did not work as a plug so we had to wash the dishes in the fruit bowl, and the shower fan was not working. Difficult to clean the toilet/bathroom during our stay with no cleaning product provided. No hangers in the cupboards so could not hang any clothes. This property just needs a few small low cost additions to make a more comfortable stay.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - Nice clean property in a good location. Quiet neighbourhood. We enjoyed our stay. Stairs to bedrooms narrow and steep. Didn't worry us but could be a problem for some guests.
- Dimitti (9/5): Charming cottage is precisely that and the location is excellent, just a short walk to the city. - The location of the house was perfect - walked everywhere and what a lovely walk to the city through the botanic gardens or around the bay. We are tea drinkers and whilst the coffee looked great - tea bags would also be nice to be provided, a box of tissues, apart from these very minor things was brilliant.
- Gretchen (8/5): Very good -
- Lisa (8/5): Very good - Location was perfect
- Shiobhan (8/5): Apart from the above I would definitely stay again and suggest to others - Location clean and comfortable I couldn’t watch free to air tv. The e bikes that were stated as included with the accomodation were not at the house .
- Cam (9/5): Superb - Very homely, great location, great value, very clean and lots of cutlery. Stairs to bedrooms are steep and doesn't have a hand rail.
- Joren (10/5): great and affordable place to stay - beautiful chairs broke when i sat on them
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elke (8/5): Super clean modern cottage - Nice location - walking distance to Kingscross station (10 min) and to botanical gardens No Flyscreens on windows , no aircondition
- Alfredo (10/5): Exceptional - Great, clean place to stay. Has so many amazing amenities, wish we had had time to use the E-bikes. All the little touches really made our stay during our travels easy. Nothing to complain..
- Muhammad (10/5): Could easily stay here for a few days! - I can recommend this property for its location and quality accommodation. Staff and communication really good and the room was very clean. Although we were very happy with our stay, we'll try the longer day next time.
- Alexa (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you for helping preserve this cozy home so that others may enjoy it. We had a lovely time here. We’ll be back!
- Ari (10/5): Fantastic place to stay! - Loved the full sized kitchen! The house exceeded my expectations was spotless the staff was amazing and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. A great experience when I used the bicycle, it was very convenient and I could bike around. I will be back to stay longer!
