Abbiamo apprezzato la presenza di ventilatore e condizionatore, la semplicità ma funzionalità dell’alloggio e il balcone spazioso dove rilassarsi. Il bagno avrebbe bisogno di qualche miglioria: la doccia ha qualche problema (il rubinetto è un po’ usurato e non regge bene il soffione della doccia) e non ci sono mensole di appoggio per le proprie cose. Sarebbe molto utile anche avere a disposizione un bagno per il residence così che quando si fa il check out si può avere un posto dove sciacquarsi e cambiarsi prima di partire per l’aeroporto.
• Jane (9/5): Great apartment in the best possible location - The key advantage of this apartment is its location, on a complex with pool, looking over the ocean, with a nice balcony and greenery all round, but right in the middle of everything in Santa Maria. It is perhaps less modern and luxurious than other properties further along the beach, a bit outside the town, but we didn't see anything that would have compared to ours for location and views. Everything was fine. The bathroom is a little tired, but everything works. Please note you need cash to pay for the apartment when you arrive, and it can be tricky to find a cash distributor that works with UK and European cards (go to the banks at the other end of the main street). The owner should let people know in advance that only cash can be accepted, so they could bring Euros with them. Euros are accepted everywhere. Santa Maria itself is full of bars and restaurants, not as cheap as we expected. For a week in the sun it makes a great winter break. Can be chilly in the evening. Not a lot to do outside the beach, bars etc, though the one day tour of the island is great and worth doing. We chose the minibus - at our age didn't fancy sitting outside on a jeep!
• Bruno (8/5): - La vue de la terrasse, l'emplacement dans la ville, la gentillesse du personnel. Un bruit de moteur assez fort en pleine journée ou en pleine nuit. Cela ressemble à un bruit de moteur de camion qui tourne sans arrêt et à plein régime dans divers endroits de la résidence. Pas très agréable à 2h du matin.

Le seule point moins positif se - Emplacement top , proche de la mer et de la rue commerçante Lit très dure , pas très confortable. Petite suggestion rajouter un sur matelas pour plus de confort .

• antonio joao (6/5): Great Location,apartment in need… - Beach, location The apartment is too old, If it gets refurbished , it could be one of the best in Santa Maria… And the sunbeds in the swimming pool are always full of towels without people… they leave the towels to go to the beach and come back maybe few hours later… not fair!
