• Romy (1/5): Shocking - The taxi driver was nice though he couldn’t find us at airport pick up even with the details previously provided, hence we were waiting (a family with 3 young kids) from about 3:30am - 4:30am, getting harassed at Cairo airport. Unfortunately the address on bookings.com is completely incorrect so we couldn’t even get a taxi ourselves. You cannot find this accommodation on google either. We could see there were red flags regarding this property but needed to book something and were hoping it would work out ok. The host was responsive but the situation did not improve. Even though airport transfer driver was considerate in his manner he did not know where accomodation was, which is ridiculous for an airport transfer driver driving to an airport transfer hotel. Consequently it took 40min to get there instead of 20min. They advertise on bookings.com that they are 1.2km from airport, not the more than 20km it was. It took us about 40min when we thought it would take 10min. Lastly in reference to the driver, he picked us up in a very small car, knowing we are family of 5 with luggage. The car was packed and heavy and did not feel safe. They said they would take us back to airport in a bigger car but this did not happen. We were met by another host who understood how bad things were already and offered our money back but nothing has happened here. By now it’s about 5am after flying in at 2:45am, our entire reason for choosing this place was the transfer at this time and proximity to airport which were both incorrect. The name suggests this is an easy option but it was not easy. Once inside, it was filthy, broken, tired and misrepresented. Not sure where the pool is. Anyway, we were there to sleep and shower which kind of worked out. Except there was no toilet paper, a very noisy air conditioner, broken shower door, difficult door handles, no fold out bed, a blocked drainpipe, stuff everywhere. I would like to thank you for the food gifts through! Unfortunately in my view the accomodation complete overpriced through. It is close to some shops. It is in an apartment complex and it not a hotel, as name suggests.
