• Nicole (8/5): Cosy and clean, good value - Lovely hotel, clean and cosy. Good breakfast. Good value for money. Really nice staff, so welcoming and helpful, kept hold of our bags in a secure way after we checked out. Would stay here again. Location was ok but I think walking around after dark around here might feel a little sketchy, we didn’t leave the hotel after dark though so can’t really comment. Restaurant doesn’t seem to be open in the evenings.

• caitlin (10/5): Magic terrace and tons of amenities - Stay here and enjoy the huge terrace and the magic of Palermo from above. I LOVED this guesthouse. You won't regret it. Also, I was worried there wasn't a normal hotel w breakfast but there's tons of espresso pods and free water and loads of snacks in the room, and supermarkets down the road. It was so nice to eat my own stuff out on the terrace. perfect.

• Alice (9/5): - Really liked the look of the hotel and the room that I got given was perfect - I had specifically asked for a quiet room and they gave me just that - I could not hear any street noise, just the occasional noise of other guests in the hallway. Breakfast was great, filling and I liked the options (although one of the days they didn't make any boiled eggs and I found the scrambled eggs a bit too watery for my taste, though this was a very minor issue). The shower was one of the better showers I have had while travelling through LATAM, it was overhead, powerful and hot. Wifi worked great (for working remotely) and communication with the hotel before and after was really good (they respond very quickly to messages which is much appreciated). There were a couple of staff who maybe seemed less enthusiastic, but overall interactions with staff were really good and special thanks to the cleaning staff and receptionists there during the morning/day who were helpful with my questions. Nothing major to note.

• Marlene (7/5): A comfortable hotel. - Breakfast was very good; My room was on the top floor with a great view. I appreciated that the room was very clean! The interior of the hotel was lovely...lots of paintings, sculptures and plants. The staff during the day were so kind and helpful!! Andrew(Andreas) needs work on his people skills. I arrived late, 9:45 pm. after two long flights and he never said hello or even welcomed me. He just gave me my key and said that I was on the fourth floor. He did carry my suitcase up to my room. Even though breakfast was good, I would have appreciated having yogurt.....I think that the towels in the room could have been better. .....they were very thin and falling apart. I would have liked shampoo too. One more thing...the hotel is advertised as having a restaurant, separate from serving breakfast and there was no restaurant nor was there a happy hour as advertised. Please correct these mistakes.
• Salvatore (8/5): Perfetto per trascorrere un paio di notti a San Jose - Bell‘edificio d‘epoca molto centrale con una veranda sul fronte molto ben curata. Si trova al centro e tutto è raggiungibile a piedi. A pochi passi si trovano tanti ristoranti molto buoni. Colazione al buffet abbondante. Il letto in camera era scomodo e in ferro battuto. La cassetta dello sciacquone in bagno perdeva acqua. Il personale disponibile ma non sempre simpatici.
• Abdelrahman Mehilba (9/5): Unique Experience - The hotel is a unique experience as its an old colonial building renovated. It has variety of rooms. The breakfast was good. The stuff was nice. We tried two rooms one was excellent but the 2nd lacked window though it has an internal balcony which was useful. The 2nd room had no windows and no fridge.

Generous with fruit and portions, unlike other hotels we stayed at. Room was on the small side so not great for a long stay

Ypu could hear everything in the room, which has a locked door connected to another room. Thr bathroom wasn t that clean and the shower was a mess, it was not working properly. The room was overall very small.

• Guilherme (9/5): Ótima opção para uma viagem com orçamento baixo. - Acomodação super agradável. É uma hospedagem com ótimo valor custo x benefício. Os quartos, apesar de simples (sem ar condicionado) são bem organizados e limpos. Ótimo pra quem quer conhecer a cidade e passar o dia explorando San Jose, e ter uma cama confortável pra recarregar as energias. O café da manhã é simples mas gostoso. Acredito que pelo fato de meu quarto ter uma janela voltada para um pequeno pátio interno, meu quarto tinha um leve odor de mofo.

• Sergio (3/5): No fue lo que esperaba - La limpieza y la vista desde el tercer piso El estacionamiento no estaba incluido, lo tienes que pagar aparte y son 14 usd por día (si dejas el vehículo en la calle es multa segura), la ubicación si bien es céntrica, esta tan cerca de la estación de tren que todo vibra y se mueve, la estructura es antigua lo que hace qué cualquiera que camine por el pasillo se escucha en todo el piso, la cama no tenía sabana solo un cobertor.

Tinha uma festa na cidade a alguns quartoroes do hotel e tanbem dava para ouvir no quarto. Só tem ventilador e você nao consegue controlar a velocidade.

• Lena (10/5): A charming and very good-value hotel with a great location. - A charming hotel with a very good location. A short walk to the central parts of the city. Clean and well-maintained. Nothing.
• Bethan (4/5): Disappointing, especially as it seemed to pride itself on being a classy hotel. - The communal areas in particular were attractive, the room was comfortable and well equipped, the location central. We chose this hotel as it advertised itself as having a late check-in and we knew we would be arriving by bus from Nicaragua after 11pm. I messaged the property days ahead to check we would be able to get in but received no response. I sent a second message around 6pm on the day of our arrival to let them know we were arriving late but again received no reply. When we reached the city our taxi driver called the hotel (at approximately 11.30pm) and the person who answered told me we were too late to check in. We had to find another hotel for the night, incurring additional expense not only for the accommodation but also a taxi the next morning to the Fleur de Lys. I explained to the people at the front desk what had happened and was told I should have been given access the previous night and that if I requested a refund via Booking.com the hotel would gladly honour it. I did this, but over a week later received a response from Booking.com saying the hotel had refused a refund as I hadn’t requested one before checking out. Very disappointing, and moreover the breakfast wasn’t worth getting up for.

Frühstück war ausreichend ich hab erst für eine Person gebucht das Zimmer kostete 37 Euro ich wollte dann auf zwei Personen umbuchen und dann musste ich 73 Euro bezahlen da ich meine Buchung nicht stornieren konnte musste ich hohen Aufpreis bezahlen obwohl auf der Seite stand 41 Euro für 2 Personen mit Frühstück. das fand ich nicht gut.

The rooms are spacious, clean and have a special charm, far from the coldness of modern chain hotels. The location is excellent, close to the National Museum and Plaza de la Democracia. A truly special place!
