• Maree (3/5): It certainly is not value for money - Definitely did not stay at an Oasis. A small area off the garage with pot plants some half dead. No care or attention to property. Old towels and bed linen. A lot of old pamphlets about transport. All useless. Saw hostess mowing lawn on arrival. She didn’t stick around to show us property or useful information about transport. Never checked in to see if we were ok. Storage good.

• David (10/5): A hidden gem, small but superbly equipped - and RIGHT by a superb beach - The Oasis is a real gem and the second part of the title 'by the beach' could not be truer. It was no more than a five minute stroll in flip flops before you were on the sand of a beautiful beach. The kitchen was well sorted and equipped, there was little we needed that wasn't there in place already. Special mention has to be made of the hosts Jackie and Werner who were a delight - invisible except when you needed them most (an important factor when you're very heavily jet lagged on arrival). The Oasis is small but hidden away and - simply perfect. A leisurely 20 minute barefoot stroll along the beach into Glenelg ( 5 mins less if you want to walk along the pavement), easy access to the public transport system - a return visit will be a must Very little. The aircraft noise might be an issue for some but we didn't find this an issue

• Nicola (10/5): Gorgeous spot if you’re into a quiet and peaceful break but close enough to the beach and shops to get your cafe/sho - Private, cool and very quiet. 2 minutes walk from swimming beach. 5 minutes drive from Glenelg South shops if you need your cafe/shopping fix. 1 minute walk to the bus stop to Glenelg South. Nothing!

• Sandy (10/5): Booking.com fake booking? - Great host's, that gaciously took a surprise booking, as they were not informed by booking.com of my arrival, so thank you for not turning me away 😊 Well set out, comfortable, and clean studio apartment, has everything you need. Well equipped little kitchen, and comfortable bed, Emailed confirmation of my booking, took my money. I got to the address, and the host's had know idea about the booking. Had no notification at all,and they had only just signed with booking.com, I was pretty stressed, but just needed to crash for the night, the owner graciously let me stay, but the description of the place did not mention the studio apartment was in the hosts backyard attached to their house, or the fact that the place is in the flightpath of nearly every plane in and out of the airport til about 10.30pm and then they start again at 6am, but other than that very clean and comfortable, with accomodating host's
