• tessa (8/5): Pretty great! - Beautiful, tasteful, well thought out interior , sound proofed, love the indoor fireplace, sauna , records, comfy couch and bed! Not a lot of natural light in the cabin and lumbar yard next door - although still very private and the sound proofing worked well!
• Katinka (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Just Down the Road. After 9 hours on the motorbikes with no lunch, we were well and truly ready to eat, shower and collapse — and this place delivered exactly what we needed. The cosy fireplace was super easy to light, the shower was hot and perfect, and the bed was really comfy. The whole place felt cosy and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Being able to safely park our motorbikes right outside was also appreciated and convenient. The location felt really safe and it made it easy to load and unload our gear. It’s also in a gorgeous spot, and the pub with delicious food is only a 5‑minute walk away, which was a lifesaver for two hungry, tired riders. Highly recommend it. Honestly, nothing. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like.

Marshmallows were fantastic. Having a washer and dryer was a welcome surprise. Shower was outstanding. Bed was very comfortable

• Linda (10/5): - The styling, bathroom, outdoor bath and sauna were all excellent. We also liked that it came with a washer + dryer machine - so useful! The space was nice and clean as well. The sauna was a bit hard to figure out because there were no markers on the body of the sauna heater so we couldn't tell what had been selected when we turned the dial. We figured it out - so all worked out in the end.

A gorjus carafe of sherry: record player and records: a warm glorious bathroom floor: a bath outside was so good: we wanted to go to the floating spa (highly recommended) and they were fab leant is the towels after we checked out! It’s not a cheap options but we loved it. More dishes … soup bowls: big salad bowls : anothe fry pan would be helpful. Lighting is dark inside during the day more options would helpful.

• Natasha (6/5): - Loved the little details like the bottle of (port?) and things in the fridge for us which we didn’t have time to use, and vintage style decorations. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was really lovely. The underfloor heating was awesome. Loved having washer dryer to do a quick small load of washing too. I felt the focus was on how insta worthy photos would be of the place, rather than how clean or practical it is, and in some cases, function lost the battle. Unfortunately I had to clean the bathroom mirror myself when I arrived, it had splatters on it from whoever used it last, the shower was all streaky smeared not squeegeed, and the kitchen bench had some dirty stuff I had to wipe off. The lighting in the bedroom doesn’t light anything up, it’s more like night/mood lights on the walls, as there’s no light in the centre of the room, or you need to be 6 feet tall to reach the reading lights. I just want to be able to turn on a light at a switch and look at what clothes I’m packing or repacking for the next leg of my trip 🤷🏻‍♀️ The front windows only have sheer curtains, so at night time people can see inside when the lights are on. There’s no privacy blinds. it’s great having a pretty place but it should also be spotless on arrival and practical/functional especially for $300+ per night in a very small country town.
• Tania (10/5): Excellent, we absolutely loved the place 💜💜 - The decoration was lovely, very comfortable place. We loved the sauna, however after few minutes you got very hot. Will be good maybe having a shower or something close to cold down.
• Michael (8/5): Nice experience in a small compact cottage. Would stay again if in area - Quiet town with limited attractions so able to sit back and relax Plywood floor appears dirty/marked. Lighting was a bit too dull/moody particularly in bedroom

• Payton (10/5): Unique stay in a tranquil location, equipped with everything you need! - We loved how unique and well thought out the property was! The sauna was extremely cute, but hard to sit up straight in which made it hard to relax in there, but otherwise perfect!
• Peter (10/5): - Hands down the cosiest place we’ve stayed in Tasmania! The place was much larger than what the photos portray. All the facilities available to cook if you wanted to stay longer. The washer/dryer was particularly great Heated floor in the bathroom!! The little extras like jam/cereal/port available for free really stood out. Not even the biggest hotels in Hobart & were offering this.

• Nell (10/5): Cosy cabin with a retro feel. - It was different. It was beautifully furnished. Cosy and very relaxing. Fresh bread milk etc. Loved the outdoor bath and there was a spa. Lovely bathroom with lovely towels. Nothing was missed such attention to detail in the decor. Loved everything about it.

• Ashlee (10/5): Comfortable and beautifully thought out stay - Wow! What an absolute little gem this place is. The location is quirky amongst the wee town of Branxholm, and the hops field nearby was actually really picturesque. It was also a very convenient location to Derby, which we were also visiting. Everything inside was so well thought out in terms of design, and the decor was just amazing. The compendium gave further information and instruction, and that in itself highlighted how considered everything is in the property. Touches like the heated floor in the bathroom and lovely bed linen (quite possibly the comfiest bed I've slept on) made it feel luxurious. The little sauna also helped us unwind and despite only staying a night, it felt like a lot longer, and we felt totally relaxed. Thank you for a beautiful stay, would definitely recommend.
• Jack (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay was perfect, every detail about the property has been well thought out and it shows from the amazing range of amenities available. Would certainly recommend this stay and we will be hoping to come back in the winter to make full use of the fireplace and sauna.
• Thomas (10/5): Beautiful - This place is 11/10 amazing. Beautiful little cottage. Amazing layout. The heated tiles in the bathroom are just outstanding. And kicking the day off with a sauna is just the best start anyone can ask for.
