Guest Reviews
- Angela (6/5): Location and view great. Apartment ok. - Nice view. Close to everything in Melbourne. Property was not very clean. Bathroom fan made a horribly loud noise when light is on. Dishwasher left in a mess. Communication with host was terrible.
- Lorraine (7/5): The location was central to all necessities. The view was great. Our time in Melbourne was full and - there was no plug in the kitchen sink to wash the dishes
the balcony door doesn't close properly
the towels in the second bedroom were too thin
one of the dining chairs was nearly broken
Glass doors to the bedrooms didn't keep out light from the TV
Only one lift was working for a few days
- Krystel (10/5): -
- Rebekah (1/5): Dodgy as hell - Biggest issue is the dodginess of the booking. Suddenly a damage deposit is required, only mentioned after booking. This had to be done as a bank transfet into a private account, anf then request you to send all your information via a watsap message. Concerns flagfed with booking.com, who advised me it was all above board. 2 months after our stay, i still have not received my $300. Properry not respomding to me or booking.com.. Difficult with communication. The room had so many issues, sink/shower not draining in the bathroom, flooding the room evwry time yih have a shower. Sliding door doesnt close properly. Broken chair, couch springs dead. Table top not secure. The lifts in the place aleays having issues. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! DODGY AS HELL.
- Danny (3/5): Would not return to this property - Location only No parking onsite at all, was advertised as onsite,
Pillows old, building materials onsite, not very clear instructions on building access,
Additional blankets were dirty and stained
Apartment not spacious at all, have to tie sideways to move throughout the property
- Bawden (8/5): -
- Linda (8/5): - Check in process a little adhoc
- Dong-syuan (4/5): Disappointing - So difficult to find the location of parking, room and key pick up
- Liew (1/5): Much time wasted trying to contact the host and numerous calls to Booking.com on various issues. - The unit is on very high floor which is nice. However, there are only 2 lifts servicing 49 floors. For half of our stay, lifts were constantly under repair making long delays and cramped lifts. There was a number of times there was only 1 lift working and during peak hour it was too full to get into meaning we had to wait again. Prior to check-in, the host did not reply to any of our enquiries regarding parking and this has already caused us initial stress before our check in. This stress continued to escalate throughout our stay and even after our check-out due to her unresponsiveness.
When we checked-in, the host took photo of my ID. Even when I said she’s not allowed to do so according Booking.com policy, the person who handed us the key sneakily took a photo of my ID and sent it to the host immediately before I could protest and ask for it to be deleted. With the increasing number of identify fraud, I don’t want to take unnecessary risk of having my personal details in circulation.
We were only given 1 set of key initially, causing inconvenience and time wasting. We could not separate as a family and go to separate places. The key pickup place is 3 min walk from the apartment block but the place is often busy with other customers. Again we had to waste time going back and forth to get this second key and we have to make ourselves available to do this during their operating hours.
The host advertises that a car spot is available on AirBnB, but for the Booking.com ad it's AUD25 per night! Means we have to pay her more money to park in car spot belonging to the unit.
We also found glass fragments on the floor which could easily cut kids playing.
One of the bedroom doors was off the hinge meaning we couldn't close it for privacy.
Post check-out has been one of the most frustrating and traumatic experience we have had to deal with. We were told the security deposit would be returned on the day of checkout. The host never answered our calls or replied to our messages when we requested for the refund of the deposit and we could only talk to her assistant.
Finally, after 6 days, the host refunded the deposit only when we threatened to go to the Victorian Police to file a report. Our last resort was to go to the police because Booking.com advised the host was uncontactable.
- Clancy (10/5): Cheap and nice - Clean and convenient Nil
- Tania (5/5): Confusing and difficult access to the room. - Location good, room was quite nice Lots of confusions when we both there to get into the building and try and find our key, which we then found out was taken home by the cleaner and had to wait 4 hours before they brought it back. Although we did get a refund for our first night for our trouble. (Which I'm still waiting for). They need a better and less confusing system to get access to the building and room, it was a very stressful start to our holiday. Probably wouldn't choose to stay there again.
