- Bernard (10/5): A fantastic time - The atmosphere, the authenticity, the fact that the people at Hotel Meisser really care.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russell (10/5): Magic. - It’s amazing. Almost impossible to explain. First is the village - a tiny, ancient, beautiful location with graffiti decorated houses. Then there is the magic of the hotel. It is so characterful and charming. Walls and ceilings are carved timber. The dining room is stunning. The lounge is comfortable especially with the fire going. Food is superb for dinner and breakfast. Staff are delightful. It ‘s unique. Nil
- Abdulrahman (10/5): I will visit again. Nice place, friendly people. I appreciated thier hospitality - Nice place None
- Susan (10/5): A very special stay, enjoyed by all members of the family from 13 to 80! - Such a stunning location, a peaceful and unspoilt village among meadows of wild flowers. Staff were really helpful and friendly. And all meals delicious. No suggestions
- Rosie (9/5): A hidden gem - in a beautiful location. -
- Paula (7/5): Good - Not applicable - but because we arrived late they left sandwich - which was lovely n/a too busy working
- Linda (10/5): An amazing experience in a beautiful hotel. - Breakfast was great with lots of variety. I will say that you had to get there early to get the best bread selection. The breads/croissants did not appear to be replenished midway through the fast hours. Dining room amazing. Food great. Staff personable. Loved eating outside and the service was good out there. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Could not figure out how to get the room nightlights to come on. Perhaps there could be some instructions. You might consider an evening dress code in the dining room. Too many people in shorts and tee shirts, especially on weekends.
- Joan (8/5): Very good -
- Ninez (10/5): very nice and pleasant stay! - very quaint, beautiful and authentic decor, great no elevator, but they helped with my heavy luggsge do was ok.
- Liz (10/5): Gorgeous historic location. Wonderful hotel. - This is a wonderful place. The village is just amazing with superb views over the mountains and amazing architectural features. The interiors of the hotel are a wonderful mixture of old original features and added modern touches to ensure comfort. The food in the restaurant is also very good. It’s a hotel which has been in the same family for years and years and this really adds to the experience. Highly recommended.
- alicia (10/5): Swiss Mountain Perfecton! - What a perfect hotel! It's quaint, pristine, romantic, perfectly situated overlooking amazing mountains and has a fabulous restaurant. It's a Swiss Boutique hotel with wonderful staff who helped us with basics like understanding the menu to recommending fantastic hikes in the immediate area and it's surroundings. A truly memorable hotel off the beaten track. We plan on returning someday and highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel with great rooms and dining - We stayed for 4 days to ski in nearby Scuol. The hotel is in pristine condition and the rooms are large, newly renovated and have all the amenities you need. The included breakfast was fantastic and the owner and staff are friendly and very helpful! We will be back next year!
- gabor (8/5): Wonderful time in Guarda - Wonderful location with prime hiking and biking trails. The owner couple Meisser prepare exclusive dinners every night and will personally greet and serve the most delicious local foods. Views of surrounding mountains are stunning. It is pricy but a trip you won't forget.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cool Place - This is very nice hotel and a cute little village. The staff was great and the room was very nice. We thought the dinning room was overpriced and there wasn't many other choices for a meal.
- Peter (10/5): Hidden Gem - A charming hotel in the beautiful and historic village of Guarda.
Traditional rustic ambience. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms a little small, due to the confines of the historic building, and it would be worth opting for the larger rooms. The outlook is tremendous however.
Terrific food in a lovely setting and it is well worth taking the half board option.
- wendy (10/5): great hotel and location - the hotel is wonderful, just ask for a front room or you will have a window that opens into the old barn and all your view will be is of a wall.
fantastic breakfast buffet, helpful and friendly owners. free internet, a major bonus in Switzerland. adorable town and wonderful views.
- Zenia (6/5): Great spot, but service could be improved - Guarda is a lovely spot and so is the hotel. We had a great view from our room, even it said there was no special view. However the service both in the restaurant and hotel could be improved.
