Guest Reviews
- Sara (7/5): - Great size. Very comfortable. No wifi.
- Michelle (7/5): - The great view and the fun vibe of the wall art throughout the entire house! I would have appreciated some face washers and hand towels. A fly screen on at least one bedroom window would have complimented the ceiling fan as it was quite warm on the bedroom.
It would have been helpful to know there was no internet, but maybe I didn’t check when I booked - we intended to watch the saints play, and if we’d realised we would have brought a device to connect up to the tv. Instead we had to go to the pub!
There are some small things that made it feel a little unloved such as the dead pot plant, and another struggling to survive, the grimy front of the oven door and kitchen window, the large weeds outside the living room and the quite dusty architraves.
- Janine (8/5): Large modern house close to Q train. - Close by to Q train. Pull the thistles and weeds out! Every window had a view of the thistles .
Windows could do with a clean, few cobwebs.
- Yen (9/5): - The house was comfortable.
- Busby (10/5): - Very spacious and clean house
- Sean (7/5): Beside the 2 safety issues, It was a nice house to stay in - It was good that there was kids books and toys for my daughters to play and read with. Beds were comfortable, view from upstairs was good as you could see the sea. My one year old daughter sat on middle seat close to glass side and once she sat down it fell apart as it was missing bolts.
Another thing safety rail (top one) is very loose and because of this my mother could not go upstairs.
The house needs a deep clean not just a surface clean. Needed hand towels
- Craig (9/5): Lovely accommodation, perfect for our 3 couples getaway. - Modern, spacious, comfortable, There was no access to the garage
- Izzi (10/5): -
- Austin (9/5): - A great house for a group. Clean, modern and inviting - really cute decor that made me smile. Really comfortable stay. Only thing missing was bins in the bathrooms :)
- Tracey (9/5): Great space for large groups - Easy walk to the jetty, short drive to QTrain and Geelong CBD
Comfortable for several adults
Minor problems dealt with quickly
Heating worked well
- Drew (1/5): Won’t stay there again. - The weeds, no dish clothes or tea towels to clean after yourself. It was dirty not cleaned properly.
Very disappointing.
- Fei (9/5): The house itself is pretty good, but the neighbor’s dog is too noisy, seriously affecting rest. - The house is in good condition and very tidy. The dining table comes with too few chairs, only 6. With 4 rooms, there should be at least 8 chairs.
- Dean (7/5): Good - Great location nice big house There was no toilet paper
- Mark (7/5): Good -
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yingying (7/5): Good -
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kaylene (10/5): We very much enjoyed our overnight stay. - The property was very clean and comfortable. Great view from second story and quiet area. Even though we didn’t use hardly anything in the home it was very well stocked with kitchen items and appliances.
- Catalina (7/5): Good - It had everything we needed It was very dirty.
- David (8/5): Very good - Convenient location. Tidy. Nice bathrooms. No information provided re Wifi access. Had to text owner for details. Outdoor areas require trimming and weeding.
- Pat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (9/5): Superb - Great location close to Qtrain, which was purpose of the trips.
Owner very accommodating with all information required. Only issue was 4th bedroom had sofa bed rather than proper double/queen. Would not be a big ask to provide proper bed. Photos did not show sofa bed.
- Bruce (8/5): Great venue, just needs some more sparkle, Millie very responsive! - Loved the location & view, convenient for my nephew’s wedding. Bed very comfy. Ample appliances has almost everything needed. Had a great time, Could be spectacular. Great bones, large house just misses on little things like sorted cupboards. Hottest night of the year. suggest an a/c in the master.
Ample lounge needs a few more cushions.
Didn’t use outside, but a little weber q would enhance the experience.
No coffee machine.
- Kerryanne (8/5): Great home, plenty of space and wonderful location! - Everything was great and comfy. Cleanliness, no coffee machine, noisy!
- Irina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kasper (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, spacious home. It was perfect for two families. We had a lovely stay.
- Laura (6/5): Bright, large home in great location: sadly grubby and disappointing - Large bright home in lovely estate close to beach, supermarket, and Adventure Park Geelong. Lots of wall art, pretty bathroom fixtures. Sadly the house was dirty when we arrived - 3 of the glasses in cupboard covered in paint, 2 of the bathroom sinks were dirty around plug hole, mirror splashed with soap, and past renters hair in clumps on floors. Dirty hand prints on several doors and walls (like chocolate?) and ? food splashed over water dispenser on fridge. The pale coloured downstairs couch was very stained which was quite off putting- looked like food and grubby hands all over it. Also no cushions on couches as pictured on listing.
The listing stated 3 double beds but didn’t specify that one of those double was an old sagging sofa bed. The listing just stated what the size of the beds were. There was mould under the mattress and an old wound dressing balled up on the floor. (We found this during pack up)
One of the panels on the backyard colorbond fence was broken and pushed out, banging in the wind over night- no reply when I notified the owner of this also.
I was told by the owner that they know the house isn’t ‘perfect’ and that the price reflects this, however one would expect any holiday rental to still be clean at least, even if it isn’t flashy.
Wall art, display books, and fake plants don’t make up for a grubby house, sadly.
- Marlyse (8/5): Very good -
- Naveen (10/5): A sweet home by the shore - The property was clean, spacious and in best location.
- Melinda (10/5): We can down to the Ballerine Peninsula for a weekend and needed accommodation for a group. The beautiful home was close - It was great for our group of five and still had room for 3 more guest it we had of needed it There was nothing not to like. Everything was exactly as listed
- Anne (10/5): Fabulous house for families or groups. - Fabulous house for our group, everything we needed was there. Lots of space so we could spread out. Great communication with owner. Nothing. Kids thought a bbq would have been good.
