Guest Reviews
- Jeannine (7/5): -
- Mexx_HR (7/5): Decent house for sleepover - Nice and quiet neighborhood, short walking distance to pub and shops. Outdoor garden with bbq that you can use, fully equipped with appliances. Very nice central heating that we needed since nights were very cold. Beds were great, not king size but very comfortable. For sure it will need some love to make it exceptional. Lot of things are dated, some repainting and small fixes would help a lot. Bathroom should be cleaned more deeply to avoid negative feeling. Understand that this is old house but still...
One towel per person for four day stay is not sufficient.
For us was ok, more/less just for sleepover.
Lot of noise from airplanes landing at Heathrow, not taking it as a negative since whole area suffers the same.
- Katherine (10/5): Fantastic house, fantastic location, great value for money - Location
Size Could do with a little tlc
- Anna (5/5): Convenient location. House itself needs a bit of tlc as it’s very shabby and dated. Needs new kitchen appliances (fridge - Great location for the purpose of our stay. Handy off street parking. Oven and fridge were not working properly. Not all electrical sockets were not all safely fitted to the wall. Garden was overgrown and could not be used beyond the patio area. Bedroom blinds were not sufficient to keep the room dark so we woke up with the sunrise!
- Elaine (9/5): very good location, nice house - location for site was great, home from home, my guys had everything they required. not to far from the worksite or local amenities. would use this again nothing everything was there comfort level was great
- Jackie (8/5): We had a an enjoyable stay here & would book to stay again if the above were addressed TLC mainly. - It was very convenient to be close to twickenham stadium only a 20 min walk. The house is very spacious & had everything you needed ( apart from tea towels & forks ) for a comfortable stay. Just needs a bit of tlc but a fabulous place to stay regarding location . It was a little bit tired & in need of attention in places, ie the bath tiles had mould around the grouting & the heated towel rail could do with a change as it had rust on it. Also when you had a shower the bath was very creaky felt like it would fall through. Outside the kitchen drain was blocked & smelly & the down pipe was cracked. There were no tea towels we had to go and buy some & only 3 forks so if anymore than 3 people staying it’s not ideal. Took a bit of getting used to the noise of the planes overhead which woke us up at 4am each morning but we were expecting that being situated in Heathrow flight path.
- Kyron (1/5): AVOID AT ALL COST! - Absolutely terrible. Do not book. Took my money and did not accommodate me and did not respond to booking.com for the whole 2 days I was suppose to stay so I couldn’t be relocated. Had to sleep in my car for 2 days as I didn’t receive refund which was the only money I had for accommodation while in London. Absolutely atrocious service. AVOID AT ALL COST
- Mark (9/5): Overall very good enjoyable stay - Price, location & parking Flooring & decoration slightly tired
- Emmanuel (8/5): We enjoyed our stay - The location was good and the facility was clean and spacious The beds were cold
- Haroon (10/5): Very good and lovely time - Clean, and all amenities available Windows curtains broken,
- Steffen (8/5): -
- Aidan (6/5): - We we're given the wrong code to access the key safe and had to contact the owners, initially I tried calling which they didn't answer and text saying couldn't take the call, I text with the problem and they said try this number !! fortunately it was correct The bathroom door didn't shut or lock properly
- Sophie (10/5): Perfect for what we needed - Very good location for what we needed, was about a 15/20 minute walk to Twickenham stadium It can’t be helped but it is on a flight path so could hear planes all night long so was unable to have windows open
- Kath (3/5): Ok but Booking.com are a nightmare - Location was good Bathroom very tired with mould and broken mirror
Garden furniture very tired and unsightly
Had requested an additional night which was agreed by email. But then not actioned so had to book in elsewhere for final night of our trip. Very bad management and communication
- Guy (4/5): Maybe we were unlucky but this was a bad experience for us. - The location was great for the purposes of our trip. Just a short distance to a number of local transport options. You can also easily get into central London from here if you wanted. The condition of the property in general was very disappointing. Some of the floor was held together with tape. The bathroom door didn't shut due to being broken and the floor had a lose part which was dangerous. The garden was very poorly kept and not safe for kids to run around in. Ontop of this we were provided dirty sheets and towels for our stay.

- Dave (10/5): Exactly what we needed, so very happy with the location and the property. - The property is well laid out and spacious. It has off street parking which is really helpful. A short drive/lime bike to Twickenham and Richmond. The hosts were fabulous and couldn’t do enough for us, which was really appreciated. Close to shops and buses, 20/25 minute walk to train station. A good base to explore the area from. The whole Richmond/Twickenham area is under the Heathrow flight path, but with windows closed you don’t notice so much when a flight to passes over.
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (7/5): Perfect place to stay if you’re going to the Allianz Stadium. We will return again. - The location, car parking in front of the property and the house was clean and tidy Close to Heathrow airport flight path but this affects many other houses and buildings in the area too and we were aware of this issue.
- Matt (3/5): Quality was not worth the money at all. In need of repair - Location The condition of the property was not adequate - especially for the money we paid.
There are Dirty and Broken tiles in kitchen floor , cracked tiles and sink in the bathroom. Walls are dirty and need painting. The Radiator in bathroom is rusty and unusable. Skirting board broken in places etc etc
Rug in lounge is filthy and needs throwing away !!
The Back garden needs some serious work
In addition there were no hand soap provided in bathroom or kitchen, no dishwasher tablets etc etc
Bins overflowing outside.
I raised these issues when we arrived - received an acknowledgment to my messages but no reply since (2 weeks ago)
I can now see from previous comments that many of these issues have been raised before.
Felt more like the standard for student accommodation
- Kamal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ricardo (8/5): Good value for money given the location and the significant sporting event - Location / VfM Some minor check in issues due to external roadworks on gas mains
- Eva (1/5): Terrible beds, rather dirty, and as far from charming as possible - Not much. The car parking was convenient. When we arrived the wifi didn't work. We notified the owners and got new information later that night which worked. We also had to go to the store because there were no coffee pods, no dishwasher soap, no dishcloths and no hand soap. I noticed the hairdryer was missing and notified the owners. They asked me to look more closely and check bedside tables and wardrobes. When I had searched and found no hairdryer they accepted and brought one the day after. The next morning the coffee machine didn't work. I notified the owners. On day 5 they sent a new coffee machine which worked. The first five days I had to walk to the gas station to get coffee. I told the owners the beds were so bad that they couldn't be slept in. Their reply was that beds were a matter of preference. One bed was badly broken, the foundation was made of wooden pillars that were all broken. Even though two neat teenagers slept in it they ended up together in the middle... of course because there was no functional base. Only one of three beds is fit for a grownup to sleep in, a small grownup though because the bed is shorter than the usual. In addition to this the place smells bad, possibly because of a broken fridge in kitchen which has considerable mould growing inside it. The place is rather dirty with splashes on the walls and spotty tabletops. This is the worst place I have stayed in during 30 years of travel and hence the low rating. Providing beds that are no longer fit for sleeping, no coffee and no wifi sounds more like a psychological experiment than an airbnb rental, and then they have you searching high and low in a dirty apartment for a hairdryer.
- Richard (5/5): Nice enough
Great location with parking - Location. Parking. Had a garden and bbq. Nice space. Good decor Bbq dirty. Broken stinky fridge in kitchen. Garden a mess. Cupboards closed with elastic bands. Washing line hanging across the whole garden. Lights outside didn't work. Couldn't connect to WiFi although there was definitely wifi/extenders but just couldn't get it right. A bit scruffy, could do with a coat of paint.
- Mahothi (7/5): Good -
- Helen (3/5): Disappointing overall - Location was okay, public transport was near.Walking distance to local shops and beautiful fish and chips. Disappointed when we arrived: off street parking blocked off by works, all bins full, glass and screws in backyard which we had to clean before pet dog could use. Floors unclean, no information booklet on heating activation or anything.Back door could not open and sliding door was very hard to use~ handle broken and had a bolt at the top to lock.Fridge not working but still there and replaced with a small fridge.
Washing machine worked but dryer did not, used the clothes horse. Not enough cutlery for everyone.
Lounge was nice with a lovely dining table and chairs.
Very disappointing; we were looking forward to our week and we return in 3 months from Europe, so we would have booked it again for 4 weeks this time.
I explained everything to the owner and they offered a 50% refund of the cleaning fee.
- Fahmi (2/5): Rundown House - Only location Too cold, no wifi, fridge not working, damage washing machine.
Run down house
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location every thing about the property was excellent and fantastic communication for a smooth check in.
I will stay again in the future
👍🏼
- Anthony (8/5): Very good -
- Gerry (9/5): Great value property for a short stay in London - Renovated property ideally located close to Richmond, Twickenham and Brentford. Very comfortable and well heated during cold weather. Nil
- Grandt (8/5): Good cozy stay - Size for the price, proximity to Richmond Food options were quite a walk, closer to train station would have been better, mattresses were pretty stiff
- Brenda (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (7/5): Very convenient for our trip to Twickenham - Location was excellent for the purpose of our stay
Beds very comfortable.
Excellent communication The driveway could do with some work to smooth out access. Drop the kerb and fill in the hole.
House was suitable for the purpose of the stay. A decent scrub and clean wouldn’t go amiss. There were grubby marks everywhere. Would stay again for an overnight visit but would consider other options if I was staying any longer. Loads of potential though.
- Luci (9/5): We had a great time with my friends, all of them love the place. - They communicated well. We had a great experience at the house ,it was spacious, comfortble and equipped with everything we needed. Convenient location and seamless check-in made it a perfect choice for a comfortable getaway.”
- Louise (9/5): Superb -
- Izanne (10/5): Very nice and location great for a group going to see a game at the stadium. - Nice and spacious. Comfortable and clean. The planes that fly over the property is very unfortunate and I will not recommend the property for anyone who has a Little child it is very load.
- Helena (6/5): Good value property but a few minor things to fix! - Location suited us. Comfortable enough & clean. Kitchen well equipped. Blinds didn’t keep light out - very hard to sleep especially with noise from road & planes … right on Heathrow flight path noisy from very early morning though apparently not every day.
Facilities listed hairdryer which wasn’t available - tricky as we were all going to a wedding!
Parking on drive without dropped kerb was far from ideal.
Bins too full on arrival for us to add rubbish.
Front of house area was rubbish strewn.
- Debbie (3/5): Disappointing - There was parking On arrival we noticed there was only 3 towels and there was 4 people on the booking. Called host and she stated she could get another towel the next afternoon!!!! Clearly this was not acceptable so the cleaner brought another towel later that day. The house did not supply hand towels and we could not find any tea towels. We eventually found the tea towels ‘drying’ under the sink - wet and not usable! There was no information - How to use machine machine, heating system or stove. No welcome book like other places that give you info of local shops, restaurants, coffee shops, nearest tube station and bus services. The kitchen only had the bear necessities. No sharp knife or serving dishes and there was no basic pantry essentials - salt & pepper, sauce, sugar, oil , foil, cling wrap etc. was it the expectation that guests arrive with all that would be needed!
No dishwasher tablets- so couldn’t use dishwasher. We arrived off a plane from overseas and we couldn’t even make a cup of tea. We have booked accommodation all over the world and this is the first time there was no welcome pack. The tv didn’t have BBC 1 or BBC 2 - if it did work the picture was rubbish. This house is on the flight path so there is an airplane every 10 mins - not really a problem but people need to be made aware as they fly very low over this property.
- Tertius (7/5): Good - Was great Lot of air traffic from heathrow
- Jamie (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Great location for Twickenham Stadium and excellent put just across the road. - Great location for Twickenham Stadium and excellent put just across the road. The garden was very overgrown and the front of the house was a mess as rubbish from the bins was all over the front parking places.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for our day at Twickenham, adequate parking, really comfortable house, bedrooms were spacious, and contact from Diana was fabulous. We will definitely re book next time we are at the rugby.
The pub across the road is lovely, Lorraine who runs the bar is so so welcoming and made us feel like locals. The garden has a big grill, would be fab in the summer. We struggled figuring out the oven because the settings had rubbed off, but this was an incredibly minor issue.
- Terrence (7/5): Good overall but not worth the money - The TV needs to be replaced as the pixels have started breaking down and there are lines throughout. On entering the property the main light in the hallway the covering for the wires was undone. The shower was really nice but thin the bathroom could do with an update
