Thanks. - The host communication was spot on: he messaged to say how to access the keys, how to use the heating and even what buses to catch. He was SO HELPFUL. Contrary to the untidy outside appearance when we pulled up, the place was great! Such a cool vibe to the decor. We absolutely loved it. Location was really convenient for us as there was a park over the road to exercise the dogs (even though we used the garden too) and a bus stop to the centre only about 20 meters from the property. So convenient having extended parking too... FOR FREE! Nice style, clean and well equipped with good coffee! We will definitely return. The outside was untidy - it looked neglected. The sofa was not very comfortable - too hard. These felt like minor things considering how positive everything else was.

• Olivia (10/5): Convientant and comfortable - Excellent location to Kings College Hospital which we needed. Comfortable, clean apartment which allowed a good nights sleep. The door was stuck (it felt like there was a latch on the inside) but luckily a tennant let us in from the inside. He told us the owners were away so could have been a potentially different experience!! But the owners are unlikely to know about the door too if they rarely use it so would still mark it 10/10 and definitely use them again if needed.

• Lindsay (10/5): Perfect for my trip! - Fantastic location, easy to find, lots of food shops nearby and very easy access to underground stations. Parking huge bonus I drove in from wales and was super easy to find. East street market nearby which is worth a visit. Very clean would recommend!

The garden and driveway parking was excellent and is a huge bonus. Hosts very welcoming and prompt to reply to any messages.

• Sam (7/5): Welcoming hosts, great location on busy road - Very well equipped and the hosts were welcoming and responsive. Stylish decor.. loved the album cover wall. Opposite a lovely park with a great Parkrun and close to shops. The rubbish piled up outside on the drive.. old mats and duvets. It was very noisy during the night with traffic, which is our fault, we hadn’t realised it was such a busy road. The access down the stairs was tricky to navigate with the bushes.

The bed is the hardest I've ever slept on and I couldnt sleep because of it! Living room chairs also very hard and uncomfortable. Sewer smell through the shower drain.

Would definitely stay again… a couple of things would be nice next time.. directions for arriving in the dark, a couple more soft pillows.. and instructions on how to use the fancy coffee machine! A thicker topper on the sofa bed. Otherwise our stay was great.

• Christina (8/5): Perfekte Lage mit hauseigenem Parkplatz - Die Unterkunft bietet direkt einen Parkplatz vor der Tür. Supermärkte gibt es in der Umgebung genug und die Bushaltestelle in die Stadt ist direkt vor der Tür. Die Gastgeber haben mit bei Fragen auch sehr schnell weiter geholfen. Für 2 Personen ist es perfekt, unsere Tochter kam für ein paar Tage nach, aber auf der Schlafcouch kann man nicht lange liegen. Ansonsten war alles super 😊

Sofa bed was apparently a little lumpy but my co-guest missed that there was an extra duvet to lay ontop of the mattress.

Not far from central London, with bus stop close by with regular buses to anywhere you want to go. Also lots of amenities close by and free parking. Would definitely recommend and book again

Quirky design Comfy beds- firm mattresses. WiFi. Garden Off street parking. Tea and coffee provided, cleaning products and plenty of towels. Hosts were very responsive and helpful Great check out time- 12 at the latest. We really couldn't fault our stay, it was fab. Very small thing, there were no wine glasses or flutes. A small bottle of milk would have been lovely. We forgot to bring some, and as there was tea and coffee provided, it would have been a nice touch.
• Kerri-lee (9/5): Stunning cozy London pad with free parking - Great location near shops, close to a park either free off greet parking 🅿️ Lovely cozy apartment, nice big bed, lovely shower and gorgeous well stocked kitchen The stairs down to the door were a little narrow but we managed well… Only thing missing was a coffee table and coasters/table mats otherwise perfect in every way.

We would recommend the property to anyone. Couple of recommendations, the property needs a floodlight, ironing board and guest book.

• Alex (10/5): Excellent for a solo stay and I'd like to return with my family as well - Spacious apartment with lively decoration and all the amenities you could want. It's situated quite a bit off the street, so it's quieter than most properties in central London, but it still has excellent transport connections. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of decaf coffee. Don't worry, there's regular coffee too. The property has a large garden in the back, which I unfortunately haven't been able to use because of a busy schedule. It's hard to come up with any negatives. I couldn't find a socket to plug in the hair dryer near any of the obvious mirrors, but I figured it out eventually.

• Blake (10/5): Fantastic location! On the bus route to go anywhere you need in 15 mins. - The hosts were just unbelievable! They went out of their way and responded to any question as soon as they were available to. The apartment was spotless. It smelt beautiful when we walked in and the walls, tiles, laundry - the entire apartment was sparkling clean. They had fresh towels, all amenities available for my children and self. Such helpful hosts and as clean as some 5* hotels. Everything was superb. Cant fault.

• Die (10/5): Wonderfully calm and spacious flat, ideal for dog owners - This is a wonderful and calm gem in the hustle and bustle of a hectic city. The spacious and modernly decorated flat with a fenced garden was perfect for a short stay in the city with our dog. A big park is just opposite, so dog walks are not a problem either. Anything you could wish for in the kitchen is available. Although situated at a main road, not far from bus stands, it's quiet at night. Our dog loved the comfortable dog bed that was provided and we enjoyed the coffee that was available for free. We found the matrass of the master bed room rather hard - but that's honestly the only thing we can say on the downside. Everything else was great. (Oh, and it would be great if an extension cable for the iron could be provided for future guests, as it was a little tricky to find a place to iron our shirts with the short cable of the actual iron.
• Athanasios (9/5): Very convenient. Will stay again. - Very tidy and clean. Well equipped. Excellent location. Parking space outside Congestion charge zone for free. Excellent hosts who responded immediately. The steps to the flat are a bit narrow, but nothing unusual for London.
• Christoph (10/5): A true gem in London: affordable, clean, spacious, private parking. Simply perfect! - What a gem when travelling to London by your own car! Perfectly located with excellent bus connections to inner London literally right in front of the property (e.g. 25mins to Leicester Square without having to change buses). Good to know for Non-Londoners/non-Brits who use their own car: It's still in the ULEZ and not yet in the Congestion charge zone. Parking is safe and easy accessible, unloading your stuff takes one minute to get it into the flat. Very easy check-in as communication with the (incredibly friendly) hosts is uncomplicated: You just pick up the keys at their door (they live right above the property). The apartment (private entrance) is spacious, spotlessly clean (not that common in London in our experience) and provides really anything that you can think of (there are even three kinds of shampoos in the bathroom!). We LOVED the little interior details like record sleeves in the hallway or a huge (and actually quite useful) map of the London tube on the living room/kitchen wall - it's obvious that someone put love in this apartment. Travelling with kids? WiFi is super-fast. The typical London back garden is quiet, surprisingly large and has trees/shadow. Rooms: master bedroom bed is comfy, the sleeping couch in the living room is a little on the harder side but does its job for a few nights. A well-stocked supermarket is 5mins away by foot, as well as a nice pub (The Red Lion). Best of all, though: Mr. Littles. The hosts' very friendly Jack Russell dog will probably visit you in the garden and will even let you pet him if you're nice to him. I've definitely found a new best friend ;-) All in all: exceptional value for money and we're already thinking about when to come back as soon as possible. Honestly: For an affordable stay in London you won't find anything better. Not really a negative but some potential guests might want to be aware: Having known London for many years quite well, one has to admit that the area appears quite run-down as soon as you leave the gate of the apartment. Southwark is not the West End - but the streets are buzzing with life and genuine people who don't wear suits all day like a mile north - just as we like it. Don't be confused: It's not unsafe at all, just different to what some might expect.

The place was extremely clean and bed was very comfortable. Having travelled all around the country for work this is right up with the best properties I’ve stayed in for value and cleanliness. Highly recommend

The parking was so useful and our hosts were kind and flexible about leaving the car for longer the next day. The property was spotless. Lovely shower. Beds were comfortable. One small thing: the Ring camera outside the bedroom flashed through the night. Maybe there's a way of stopping it flash? Other than that the property was great.,

• Karim (10/5): I have to say 'chapeau' I recommend for everyone who want to have happy holidays and this is perfect - Everything in the flat is absolutely clean and kitchen fully equipped and lovely garden. And of course the .landlord very friendly. To be honest, There is nothing that I didn't like .
• Vera (9/5): Bijoux Basement Flat - A lovely laid out flat in a great location only 25min on the bus from the west end. The flat is fully kitted out to be self catering if you wanted it to, with a nice outdoor space. Michael was a welcoming host making sure everything was in order. Good communication when dropping off extra towels. It had off street parking which is so rare in London and was one of the reasons we booked. But the whole flat, location and hosts made it a fab stay. Probably shouldn't be too enthusiastic as might not be able to book in the future but would happily return again. It is a great location with the bus stop right outside to easily go to the Southbank, West End, Tate. Ps the photo do justice to the space so there was no need for us to take any.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The bed was extremely hard for my liking. Some outside lighting for nighttime would be good. I like a tv in the bedroom.
