Guest Reviews
- Tamara (10/5): - Very comfortable and spacious for five adults. We had everything we needed for our stay. Great places to sit outside and enjoy the sea view and garden.
- Sarah (10/5): - Beautiful home, well cared for. Stunning gardens. Perfect for exploring Ulverstone and surrounding area. The road noise was a bit of an issue with sleeping. We however managed.
- Cameron (9/5): Overall a very enjoyable stay. Recommended. - Very comfortable. Communication was excellent and the home had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Road noise was prevalent at times.

- Sue (10/5): We had a wonderful stay and Clare was very helpful - Comfortable beds, couches and dining table. It had everything you needed It was perfect
- Donna (10/5): Great location - Amaroo guest house is in a great location, view of the beach and close to shops. The house was very clean and beds very comfortable, the kitchen had extra items like foil, gladwrap, oil spray, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar and stuff to clean the barbecue. The outdoor areas were great too, so many places to sit and listen to the birds and enjoy the garden. Clare suggested a few places to eat and every where was spot on. Nothing

- Lindy (9/5): Delightful property with lovely views. - Every comfort you could ask for. Lots of helpful instructions and convenience items that you may need such as chargers for any connection you could think of, insect repellent and more. Nothing to mention.
- Jubin (9/5): - The Amaroo House is beautifully decorated, reflecting Clare’s wonderful sense of style and attention to detail. Every corner has a warm, personal touch that makes the place feel truly welcoming. The ocean view from the patio is absolutely stunning, and the garden is perfectly maintained, creating a peaceful spot to relax and unwind.
Our kids had an amazing time exploring the outdoor space — they even enjoyed putting out seeds for the birds and watching them come to visit. Clare was an exceptional host, offering thoughtful suggestions for local attractions and plenty of kid-friendly places to visit. Her care and hospitality made our stay all the more special.
- Felicity (9/5): Clean and comfortable for a three night stay. Would stay again. - Really nice place to stay for a few nights. The facilities were good and the beds were comfortable. Situated on a main road with single glazed windows so it was a bit noisy of a night for a light sleeper
- Thoralf (10/5): - Alles, es war ein wunderschönes Haus und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

- Rizvi (10/5): I will stay in this place if I plan to visit Tasmania again...... - The location was good. The house is with a vintage touch. We feel like we were somewhere in 60's. The furniture was really great look. Kitchen was good and everything was there. There were enough rooms and lots of spaces to hangout. Very hard to say!
- Lorraine (10/5): The perfect place to end our Tasmanian tour. Quiet town, but within reach of all the northern coast. - This experience was just like being at home, only more elegant! The host was warmly friendly, the house was a perfect mix of the picturesque past and the comfortable present and the facilities were first rate. Suited our large group perfectly, especially the little bungalow, which offered peace and privacy for our weary driver. Views were fantastic and we even got a glimpse of the Spirit of Tasmania coming across Bass Strait. Garden could not be surpassed, it was breathtaking! We could find no fault at all.
- John (9/5): Wry comfortable and all we needed was in the house - Very spacious and comfortable for the whole family
- Trent (10/5): - An absolutely stunning, very large home with beautiful gardens. Awesome panoramic view of the bass straight and walking distance to the main town of Ulverstone. The host was absolutely fantastic and there were no problems whatsoever. We will definitely stay there again!
- Anna (10/5): Our family absolutely loved our stay at Amaroo and would highly recommend it to others. - We absolutely loved our stay at Amaroo. Host Clare was so hospitable and considerate, and very conscientious in her efforts to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We loved the decor and character of this historic home, yet there were modern touches for our comfort too. There is hardly anything to fault this place, but if pressed, I would make the observation that the ensuite in the master bedroom is a little on the small side, which led to some of the shower water extending across the floor a bit. But there's probably not much you can do about this due to the architectural structure of the room.

- A.Perrin (10/5): Amaroo in Spring. - Lovely heritage house and amazing garden.
Sea views
Covered Deck with BBQ. Table and chairs.
Great base to explore the region.
Deep bath.
Washer, dryer, clothes racks and clothes line. (You can travel with less if you can clean and dry your clothes.)
Kitchen- we cooked all our meals expect one. (The last night we had Herb's pizza - recommended...yum.) Nothing. All satisfactory.
- Katie (10/5): Family stay - We had a truly wonderful stay! The home is beautifully presented — spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and full of charm. It really felt like a home away from home from the moment we walked in.
The views from the property are absolutely stunning — waking up to the scenic landscape each morning was so relaxing. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and recharge.
The house had everything we needed and more. The amenities were plentiful and well-considered, from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy blankets and quality toiletries. It was especially great for families — there were lots of toys and books to keep the kids entertained, plus a high chair, which made mealtimes so much easier.
Location-wise, it’s in a great spot — peaceful and quiet, but still very close to local shops and nearby towns, so we never felt far from anything we needed.
Overall, it’s a truly special place. We’d absolutely love to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and family-friendly getaway
- Jason (9/5): - The location, the cleanliness of the property and comfy lounge :)
- Helen (9/5): Highly recommended and we will be back - This is a beautiful home and was perfect for my family stay
There is lots of room for the six adults to be together Every think was great
A new oven would be good but the one there works just a bit noisy
