- Haluk (4/5): Disappointing - Just coffee and location This apartment is underground so is airless and it is damp. There are two bathrooms but one of them is not inside the room, it is on the corridor. The electricity is going off frequently because of overload. But sometimes it went off even no device working. The water on the floor stays there in The bathroom on the corridor. There were not enough toilet paper in the bathrooms, but we asked it from the owner, and he brought 3 pieces.
- Darryl (10/5): Amazing stay in a perfect location, at a cheap price for Rome! - Absolutely everything about this flat was perfect for us! There was not a single thing that we needed, that wasn’t there! Comfy beds, aircon in both bedrooms and the lounge (useful during an Italian heatwave!), 2 bathrooms so you’re not waiting around for others to get ready!
We cooked in a couple of times, and it’s not usually easy to do in someone else’s place - but there were plenty of every utensil, pans, etc.. Couldn’t fault it! The supermarket is a couple of doors down on the same pavement, which is really cheap for food/ drinks. Although if you don’t want to eat in, there’s some really cheap restaurants and cafes a 2 minute walk from the flat (we did both cause we were there 4 days).
It is literally a few minute walk to the Vatican, and just over a half hour walk to Trevi Fountain. We walked the colosseum in just over an hour (stopped off for a drink cause of the heatwave), so the location is perfect, and a lot more than we expected for what we paid! I’ve stayed the same in Rome before for a lot more than we got here! Wish I’d known about this place sooner, and will definitely look to book again if we go back!
We even got to wash our clothes so we weren’t limited to whatever was clean, which is always a bonus on holiday! Everything dried the same day in the corridor between rooms, even with the aircon on in the rooms. Was lovely getting home and only having to wash what we’d worn during that day and what we flew home in.
The host was absolutely fantastic, very responsive! Even messaging before we got there with very detailed instructions of how to get in, and to message if we needed anything (we didn’t, everything was there!), and giving us advice on trains into the city if we didn’t want to walk or get taxis. Bonus points for the electronic entry! No panic about who had the key! 😂
Uber works there too (had trouble getting one anywhere else in Italy, but got one to the airport at 3am no bother).
Thanks for a lovely stay! There’s honestly nothing we could say negatively about this place. We loved it!
- Raquel (9/5): Superb - It was a really hot week in Rome but the apartament was perfect, very fresh without aircon but also they have aircon in each room. The apartament was clean and fresh. I will recommend it!!
- Paul (9/5): A very nice apartment with very obliging hosts. - Great location very close to the Vatican and Santo Pietro railway station. Capsules for the coffee machine, and cold mineral water were provided on arrival. There is a very nice little supermarket just up the street with everything you would need. There are also a number of good and reasonably-priced restauarants and a souvernir shop a short walk away. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with specific information and requests. The apartment was in a charming old apartment building with marble foyer and an antiquated-looking elevator/lift that we didn't dare use but we didn't need it anyway as the apartment was only one floor down (the local residents seemed happy to use it though!). Air conditioning was very effective. Would definitely stay there again. We found the mattress in the main bedroom a bit uncomfortable. It might need to be replaced.

- Royan (10/5): The best stay I could have imagined in Rome! - A very good place that felt like home for us. NA
- Caroline (10/5): Wonderful stay a few steps from the Vatican - Although a slightly odd layout, the apartment was very spacious. 2 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a separate dining room (with sofa bed) and kitchen. And a view of St Peter’s right outside the door! Great location, walking distance from the Vatican and close to buses. The hosts were very thoughtful and had provided coffee, water, fruit juice, olive oil, etc. And they were extremely quick to respond if we had questions or needed anything. Note that the apartment is below ground with high windows opening at street level, so it’s a little dark and you’ll hear some noise - mainly people walking by. However it didn’t bother us at all as it’s a quiet area of Rome. It’s well worth it for the location and value.
