Guest Reviews
- Hema (8/5): Great location. Good studio flat. - There was no breakfast included. I liked the location, the studio flat. The bed was comfortable, and the bed linen and towels were clean. I found the bathroom to be a bit tight. And I did not like all the fake plants and flowers. I think it takes away from the "stylish" aspect of the flat. They also harbour dust.
- Rachel (5/5): Disappointing for the money paid. - It was in a brilliant location. It is much smaller than the pictures lead you to believe, making it very cramped for two. Although the cleaning team does a very good job, the place is tired and in need of a refurb - peeling paint, grimy windows on the outside. The studio is very noisy - you could not have the windows open at night. Again, it is not clear from the pictures that the studio faces Farringdon station and a major road.
- Guest (7/5): Good value and convenient location! Nicely furnished and good customer service. - Location was great . Quite comfortable and well equipped. Messy entrance and loud bar downstairs.
- Konstantinos (6/5): - Very convenient location, within walking distance from St Pauls and 2 metro stations. The team that managed the apartment asked very strongly for an amount as a security deposit (through a webpage outside Booking - which did not work properly and raised suspicions as it was blocked by browsers) in order to provide access details to the apartment. After many failed attempts they agreed to omit the deposit. A day later they resolved their webpage problem and asked for the deposit so I complied. I arrived in London, and they still hadn't provided entry details. They refused early check-in, so i had to store my luggage elsewhere. Check-in was 3pm and I arrived at the flat at 5:30pm to find codes for the door didn't work and there were no keys where they were supposed to be. The person i talked to on the phone was trying to be helpful but from what I understand, he only had written guidelines about the apartment. Turned out cleaning staff was still inside. Booking customer support replied to my asks for assistance 3 days later... When I finally entered, I found out there was no kitchen or toilet paper provided and no toiletries ( I had to buy my own as I stayed for a week). Wifi was not always working, and it was pretty noisy at night because of the pub nearby. All in all, it was my worst travel experience through booking so far. Thankfully they refunded the deposit.
- Josephine (3/5): No thanks, not coming back - Location was amazing The place was old, worn out and dirty. Not at all value for money. The entrance was super messy with loads of old mails just laying in stacks. All laundry stuff stacked outside our door so you nearly couldn't walk in and out. The place was so much smaller than on the pictures. It smelled like sewage
- Lucas (7/5): Location great, apartment could use some love. - - Great location with access to two train stations on different lines. If you’re into pubs, there’s a bunch around that are not tourist traps. Good food nearby, and St Paul’s not too far.
- Kitchenette was nice, didn’t end up using it much though.
- Locks on the door were quality, and no noise within the building, although you can hear the street below almost crystal clear, if noise whilst sleeping is a problem for you, this might cause issues, fine by me though - Incomplete/Unfinished tiling in the bathroom
- Very wobbly glass table, was very nerve racking to use
- Would be nice if there were some hand soap available and maybe laundry detergent/capsules
- Could benefit from a wifi upgrade, was dropping in and out and very slow at times. Understanding there is a back up dongle, just convenience.
- Ana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ewa (6/5): Good studio in a great location - Great location just next to Barbican and Farrindon Station. The area is quiet and safe and lots of places for food and drinks. The apartment was on the top floor and the stairs are quite narrow so it was a bit difficult to take my large 23kg language up the stairs ( worth to keep in mind if you are traveling with big bags). The room was good, however the table was very wobbly and I was worried it was going to fall once I put something on top of it. I contacted the company and suggested that it needs replacing, however nothing was done during my stay ( I was there 10 nights) which was a bit annoying because I couldn't use the table. The shower was nice and new, however the bathroom overall could be a bit renovated, like walls painted and floor fixed. Overall, it was a good stay, room was clean and didn't hear other guests. Broken table and the bathroom could be renovated a bit.
- Roddy (5/5): Passable - Clean. Good communication with managers to access. Very messy entrance to communal areas. No soap in bathroom. Mattress tired and had seen a lot of action. Double glazing not good with one pane not shutting. Given that a decent hotel round the corner offers rooms at £20-30 less, I think this was £50 overpriced.
- נני (5/5): Passable -
- Elizabeth (1/5): Terrible experience - This property was unsanitary and unprepared for guests upon arrival - Terrible experience booking a stay at this property – it was unsanitary and felt dirty upon arrival. I couldn't even stay there the first night as the bedding was still soaking wet in the washing machine upon arrival, with the dirty stained pillows on the bed without covers. There was no soap in the kitchen or bathroom to wash my hands after traveling, and the floors were visibly dirty. I couldn’t even stay the first night and tried to request a full refund due to these conditions, yet I was denied any sort of refund and wasn't able to cancel. Overall, the place did not feel clean, comfortable, or safe.
- Henk (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Perfect but too short! - The location, amenities, a warm comfortable room. Wish I had spent more time there. N/A
- Marios (1/5): Terrible and misrepresented - Nothing The flat was not the one I booked. It was filthy with a terrible smell, the window could not be opened. I left immediate and informed the property company and booking.com requesting fulll refund. Instead and illegally the apartment was rented during the period that I have paid for - I have pictures and bookings availabilities- and both booking.com and the property company refuse to refund my money which is a clearly not lawful. I am in the process of filing consumer protection complaints and any other required legal action.
- Melanie (6/5): Great location. Minimal comfort - Location The furniture felt a bit tired and it was v cold on arrival
No milk or coffee
- Neil (4/5): Disappointed as apartment does not match description - Location Bathroom cold and very poor facility
Stairwell dirty
Outside dirty
- Alejandra (10/5): Exceptional - Private bathroom, location supermarket and tube station is just in front, the apartment itself is cozy and nice, second time here !
- Rehan (10/5): The apartment was great! 100% recommended! - I had an amazing stay at this stylish studio in Barbican! The place was modern, and had a great vibe. It was small but perfectly designed, with everything I needed—comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, and a sleek bathroom. The location was ideal, super close to the Barbican Centre and easy access to public transport, which made getting around London a breeze. I loved the neighborhood too—lots of cool spots to grab a bite or explore. The host was really helpful and made check-in smooth. Definitely a perfect spot for a city getaway!
