• Kerstin (9/5): Schöne Lodge! - Die Unterkunft liegt nah am Poas und ist idealer Startpunkt für Touren dort. Die Zimmer waren riesig, das Bett ebenfalls und uns hat der Kamin gefallen, auch wenn wir ihn nicht angemacht haben. Das Personal war freundlich. Wir mochten die rustikale Atmosphäre. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und um die Ecke gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und auch ein weiteres leckeres Restaurant. Die 4 Wasserfälle in der Nähe der Unterkunft (hinter dem Catarata La Paz) sind empfehlenswert.

• Cristhian (1/5): Please STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This was by far the worst experience I’va had in all my travels - Not much Hotel is located right next to the main road, and the room has extremely poor sound insulation. It feels like your bed is practically on roadside, you car hear every truck, loud motorcycle and people revving their cars late into the night. To make matters worse, the restaurant (which used to close at 9PM) is being turned into a bar. During the weekend we stayed there, the music was unbelievably loud and continued until 2AM. Even after the bar closed, people stayed in the parking lot making even more noise. It honestly seems like the owners do not care about their guests at all. We originally booked 3 nights, but after the second sleepless night, we decided to leave early. I would rather lose the money than stay there another night

Très bien localisé pour aller à la fois au volcan poas et aux cascades de la paz (magnigiques) Bruit de la route à côté selonnles camions qui passent pas d’eau chaude à la fin de nos 4 douches rapides (mais eau chaude au debut). Notre chambre n’avait pas de bouilloire.

• Dirk (5/5): - Gute Ausgangslage für den Poas- Nationalpark, nur 15 Minuten mit dem Auto. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch bei späterem Check-in. Zimmer sehr kalt und feucht, Kamin zwar vorhanden aber nicht mutzbar, nur ein kleiner Heizlüfter, nicht ausreichend.

Eau chaude même dur lavabo Chauffage d'appoint couvertures. Charmant. Machine à café. Bel accueil serviettes de bain, tapis de bain, ..etc Les cloisons en papier mâché. Nous avons subi des américains amoureux toute la nuit en live. Horrible!

• Chantal (9/5): - Sweet little cabin — or at least that’s exactly what the room felt like. We had an incredible amount of space. The beds were very comfortable, and the heater was more than enough to keep us warm during the cold night — plus there are thick blankets available. We were welcomed very warmly and felt completely at ease. The restaurant next door is good, though a bit on the pricier side. A perfect base for exploring the nearby Poás Volcano. It was a bit noisy, as the walls are not very soundproof.

• Jana (9/5): Hervorragend für den Besuch des Poas-Vulkans - Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön. Die Gastfreundschaft hier ist beeindruckend.. Das Restaurant ist sehr gemütlich und das Essen war hervorragend. Die Temperatur in der Dusche konnte gut eingestellt. Uns fehlten Aufhängemöglichkeiten für die nassen Handtücher.. Aufgrund der Hotellage an einer Kreuzung ist der Verkehrslärm sehr stark, was aber vom Hotel nicht beeinflussbar ist.

• Denis Martís (8/5): Habitación amplia y muy limpia, ideal como parada cerca del volcán Poás o camino a La Fortuna - Nos encantó el tamaño de la habitación y lo limpia que estaba. Es una parada perfecta para descansar si vas al volcán Poás o de camino a La Fortuna. Las camas son muy cómodas y la ducha es excelente. Hacía un poco de frío en la habitación. Aunque dispone de chimenea, preferimos no usarla para evitar que nuestras cosas se impregnaran de humo. Por poner un pequeño pero, echamos en falta un espejo más grande. Aun así, es un detalle menor que no desmerece la experiencia.

• Adrian (8/5): Very good hotel, not far from Poas volcano site. - The hotel is easy to find, located on the main road, not far from the Poas volcano site. The personnel is kind and willing to help. The room was rather large, though not sound proof (seems to be a common feature of hotels in Costa Rica), so if the room is on the street side it could be noisy from the traffic. The room was clean and had a comfortable bed. Overall it was a very good stay. Traffic noise, if the room is located on the side of the street.

• Kemler (6/5): - Bien placé. Check out à midi , ce qui permet de visiter le parc de Poas le matin avant de partir Restaurant attenat à l'hôtel. Tâche de moisissure dans une des chambres. Un des chauffages ne fonctionnait pas. Le tapis de notre chambre était tres salle.

• Doris (9/5): Gute Lage - guter Preis - Das Zimmer war klein aber absulut ausreichend für eine Nacht. Wir haben gut geschlafen. Im Restaurant haben wir ein sehr gutes Steak gegessen, unbedingt probieren. Auch am Frühstück gab es nichts auszusetzen.
• Kendall (8/5): Great location with a delicious restaurant on site! - We loved the property’s close proximity to the drive up to Volcan Poas, restaurants, and food market. The accommodations were cute and the food at the locations restaurant was delicious! The other rooms had access to a beautiful garden and cute layout. Our room was the most isolated from the cute garden area and is right next to a busy highway where you can hear trucks most of the night. Maybe more soundproofing could help this but it was pretty loud even with the windows closed. All of the other rooms were tucked further away from the road and are probably a bit quieter.

• Steve Schaller (9/5): Wooden Interior - We planned on visiting Parque Nacional Volanco Poas while staying at La Paz, so it was a terrific location. This was also the first time that we had to turn up the heat in Costa Rica because of the mountain climate. We loved the all wood interior design of the room and the lovely garden and flowers surrounding on walkway. The attached restaurant was delicious and we ordered room service every night there. It was very reasonable and fast service. One thing that would have been helpful is for the hotel to be able to make reservations for guests visiting Poas Volcano NP. Every National Park requires electronic reservations, which are difficult when travelers don't have a cell phone. That service would have made our visit to the park easier. But I didn't ask for assistance because of the language barrier. A placard informing guests that they could make reservations would be appreciated.
• Nils (9/5): Saubere Unterkunft mit netten Gastgebern - Die Übernachtung war unsere erste Nacht in Costa Rica. Wir waren nur eine Nacht hier. Es war sauber, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist top. Die Lage ist super. Wir konnten unsere Koffer schon vor dem Check-In abgeben, die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich. Es war durchweg sehr gut.

The place is even equipped with a fire-place look-alike electric heater for use in the evening when the temperature drops in the evening. The restaurant is handy and provides nice food. The walls are a bit thin for sound insulation. Can hear conversations from next room if they're a bit loud. Luckily our neighbours spoke in a different language, so it wasn't as distracting. Despite this, we had good sleep. The bed was very comfortable.

Emplacement idéal pour visiter le volcan Poas, environ 15-20 minutes. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Dommage de ne pas inclure le petit déjeuner dans le prix de départ. Sinon j'aurais mis 10.

Llegamos de noche y cenamos en el mismo restaurante. La comida muy buena y el personal muy amable En el apartamento hacía frío. Tienen calefactores en las habitaciones que ayudan a entrar en calor. No había agua caliente en la ducha El resto, normalito para 1 noche de paso

Avevo sbagliato le date della presentazione ma la ragazza alla reception è rimasta super tranquilla e mi ha risolto il problema. La cucina è perfetta con piatti tipici e anche ricette più internazionali. Soprattutto è aperta fino a tardi mentre intorno chiudono quasi tutti alle 18.00. doccia calda.
• Sabrina (8/5): Schöne Zimmer, gute Lage - Gute Betten, Badezimmer war neu. Ohne Frühstück gebucht, welches aber im anschließenden Restaurant von einer Karte ausgewählt werden konnte. Sehr gute Lage zum Vulkan Poas (ca. 15 min Fahrt) Wir kamen aufgrund eines Unfalls nach 21 Uhr an und es wurde uns eine Schlüsselbox installiert, dass wir zu unseren Schlüsseln kommen. Ebenso wurde uns ein genauer Plan übermittelt wie alles funktioniert und wo wir parken können, etc. Ziemlich kalt und es gab nur einen kleinen Elektroofen. Es gab aber noch zusätzliche Decken zur Verfügung.
• Luis Gonzalez M (10/5): Paz y tranquilidad con un excelente servicio - Sin duda la atención de todo el personal fue increíble, tanto del hotel como del restaurante, todos fueron muy simpáticos y te brindan un buen servicio. Realmente uno se desconecta del bullicio de la capital. Todo estuvo perfecto, tal vez solo darle referencias al personal sobre lugares turísticos cercanos para que puedan guiar a los visitantes que buscan actividades cerca.
