- Ahmed Shehata (1/5): This was one of the worst booking experiences I have ever had - The host cancelled at the last minute despite a prepaid, confirmed booking, leaving me stranded with no support, while both the host and Booking.com played a blame game instead of taking responsibility! This has been, without exaggeration, the worst booking experience I have ever had. My reservation was fully prepaid and confirmed one month in advance, yet the property cancelled it abruptly just 4 hours before check-in while I'm in the airplane, with no acceptable explanation or alternative offered. At that point, finding comparable accommodation is virtually impossible, causing major stress, disruption, and unnecessary logistical and extra financial burden exceeding 600 EUR!
What is truly unacceptable is not just the last-minute cancellation, but the complete absence of responsibility or accountability. Instead of helping resolve the situation, Booking.com deflected responsibility, leaving me stranded and forced to manage the fallout alone. This demonstrates a shocking disregard for guests’ plans, trust, and the commitments of paying customers.
Even more concerning is that this was a prepaid, confirmed booking, made well in advance - yet neither the property nor Booking.com provided any meaningful support or protection. The screenshots I am attaching show the full lack of communication and assistance, making it painfully clear that the platform failed its customers at the most critical moment.
I strongly advise future guests not to rely on this property - or even assume full protection from Booking.com, for time-sensitive or prepaid stays. Experiences like this not only ruin travel plans but also raise serious questions about Booking.com’s oversight, policies, and commitment to safeguarding its users.
Booking.com must take responsibility for situations like this and implement real measures to protect paying customers, because no one should face such a disaster!
- Daniel (8/5): Ein gute Adresse - wir haben nur eine Nacht verbracht - Die Wohnung liegt im 2. Stock. Die Ausstattung ist korrekt und sauber. Alles soweit vorhanden. Parken im Umfeld möglich. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich. Der Kühlschrank ist etwas klein aber OK.
