Guest Reviews
- Ben (1/5): Appalling service should be taken off by Booking.com so no more people are let down - Nothing Access not provided after 11 phone calls, text and email.
- matthew (1/5): - Don't know because we were refused entry so had to book somewhere else. Property owner wouldn't answer phone call and cancelled are booking while we were waiting to get into property. Scam need our money back ASAP.
- Colman (9/5): - The location, the space The price, the key lock box
- Tracey (1/5): Bad - The room was cancelled on the day we were informed as we were travelling. We were told it was a flood but we went to the property and there was no evidence of this
- Jennifer (1/5): Owner double books - Booked this property back in February for the May. After having conversations with the owner about arrival times, passcodes to enter the building and where to find the key we were greeted with a message saying you can't stay here. The owner said the cleaner didn't show but after speaking to the handy man he reckons there was someone else at the property. However, my money was refunded days later but I had to find alternative accommodation which was pricey due to the late booking Being lied to about being able to stay
Being charged the full amount 3 days prior to staying
- Lara (1/5): Bad - Wasn’t the rooms shown in pic Close to every thing
- Stephanie-amy (1/5): Couldn’t access the property, yet the host hasn’t returned my money - Nothing Nothing
- Nichola (1/5): Awful experience and nothing like advertised - The location although not the location we actually booked There was no WiFi or TV as advertised. The bedding was missing so had to sleep on a bare mattress. Broken kettle, torn couch, table legs broken and the shower head didn’t fit in the holder so had to hold it by hand. Had to chase host to get instructions to get in and were given a completely different apartment in a different location to the one advertised. Ended up next to Charing Cross not Covent Garden. Tried to contact the host a number of times re the WiFi and bedding and offer solutions but didn’t respond till after we checked out. There was also mould in the bedroom and a hole in the ceiling. Overall a really bad experience and cannot recommend.
- Hannah (2/5): Not the apartment advertised. - Firstly - the apartment I stayed in was not the one I booked, as per photos and location. The apartment was actually in Holborn, and looked nothing like the above pictures. I don't think this is acceptable.
On arrival, all windows were open, despite there being locked cages on the windows, with the apartment being on the ground floor I did not feel safe.
The bathroom was covered in mould/mildew. Had hairs in the shower. Kitchen sink not nice at all. Carpets dirty. Very old bedding. Light in closet in bedroom does not turn off, so was light all night.
Can provide photos of all. Would like a refund, as did not stay on the 2nd night.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Good location for theatres and shows - Location good for theatre. Very odd having the 2nd bed in the living room.
We were unable to connect to the internet, and after several messages to the host, he just ignored us. Very rude.
- Shaun (3/5): Not a great experience! - The apartment was spacious, but not the apartment I booked. Huge kitchen area, bedrooms were a good size, as was the bathroom. Generally clean and well presented, if not a bit basic and cold. I booked for Covent garden (as per the listing title, and the location on the advert). The host had zero communication. I chased for instructions of how to check in and they replied a couple of hours before check in and gave me a completely different address. I queried this and got no reply.
I ended up in an apartment in Mayfair, 25 minutes from where I booked. Due to timings I had no choice but to stay there.
The keys were left in a plant pot hanging near the front door. I do not think this is secure, and had to leave the keys in the door to ensure no one who could have access to the keys and made a copy could get in.
The apartment was under a bar / pub, with lots of noise from people drinking and smoking at the top of the stairs.
The apartment was basic at best. Yes, it was well priced for the size, but basic.
The mattress was old and had a huge dip where it had been slept on a lot!
There was an extractor fan in the other room (as this was also the kitchen) that I could not turn off, meaning I couldn't sleep in the other room.
There was also a connecting door to the building next door which didn't make me feel secure.
All in all a terrible experience, book with caution!
