• Alina (2/5): - Сам номер симпотичный, но его расположение это просто ужас Во-первых, отель находится в очень страшном районе, девушка здесь точно небезопасно. Горы мусора и трущобы, ходя до главной улицы совсем немного пройти. Во-вторых, в нашем номере оказались крысы. Они были везде, под раковиной, в стенах и полу! Это было просто ужасно! Спасибо владельцу, он пришел с утра и сказал, что это похоже на правду и предложил съехать, что мы и сделали. Стоимость букинг нам вернул. В-третьих, под окнами номера очень много мусора и в 6 утра мы обнаружили странного человека, который что-то искал там. Не хочу даже знать что

• Lisa (10/5): Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können diese Unterkunft sehr weiterempfehlen! - Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht. Sehr zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal. Bisher die Unterkunft mit dem besten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in Istanbul die ich kenne. Aus dem Bad/Abfluss kam immer wieder ein starker unangenehmer Geruch. Die Zimmer liegen relativ nah beieinander und es ist alles ziemlich hellhörig.

• Melanie (10/5): Everything was great! - We had a lovely stay at the Yellowhouse! The host was fast to reply and everything was very clean. Firstly I was kinda afraid about the „sketchy neighborhood“ past reviews suggested but I felt safe and it was a prime location - many restaurants and cafes, grocery kiosks, shopping all in a walkable distance!

But way to it is extremely steep - Everything was amazing, clean, easy to find on location and to arrive to, instructions from host were clear and easy. so close to taksim square and all destinations around. As i arrived late i thought it wasn't the safest to go out as a female by myself but i think i was wrong, Neighbours and locals were friendly and welcoming. Streets to get to it were extremely steep and slippery if raining which is not suitable at all for elder people or for people with disabilities. Another thing was the pillows, as there were only 2, we weren't comfortable but maybe it's us used to have 2 pillows each. And and add on can be a bigger mirror where you can see you're self better for dressing up (as there is one big enough for bathroom use).

• Danil (10/5): Все супер, мы довольны. - Отличный хозяин, отличный ремонт, отличное наполнение номера, для полного удобства не хватает лишь микроволновки и утюга в номер. Отличное расположение, очень близко находится площадь Таксим с метро и автобусной развязкой. Все в пешей доступности, как супермаркеты так и обычные магазинчики. Минусы отсутствуют.

• Bakir (8/5): Excellent property, in a non family friendly district unfortunately - Nice room with all the essentials, very comfortable and nicely decorated. We really had a nice stay and everything was clean. The streets around the place where the apartment is located look a bit scary at any time of the day, actually the apartment street itself is okay there is a small shop and a few other rental properties but to get to the street you have to pass the very questionable streets that could be described as "Taksim Red Light District". There is however a longer but arguably safer and nicer looking route if you decide to first walk towards Keresteci Recep Sk. and then go uphill to the main road. The main road is also unfortunately used as marketing place for "ladies of the night"

Uniche pecche sono la mancanza di un aeratore al bagno seppur compensata dalla presenza di ampie finestre e il dislivello da percorrere (qualche decina di metri) per arrivare ai trasporti pubblici.

• Katerynaa_ (10/5): Excellent hotel - We really enjoyed our stay. The building is small, so there’s no elevator and the stairs are quite steep — but the host helped us carry our heavy suitcase upstairs as soon as we arrived, and the check-in process was very easy. The host responded instantly to any messages or questions we had. There was also a professional cleaning service halfway through our stay, completely free of charge. The room was spotless and had absolutely everything needed — not only for cooking, but even for living comfortably. There was oil, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, and coffee. The kitchen had a fridge, freezer, and even thoughtful little things like scissors, a tea strainer, and a citrus juicer. In the bathroom, there was shower gel and shampoo in large bottles, which I really appreciate — much better than tiny single-use bottles that run out quickly and create extra plastic waste. The hotel is located close to Taksim, with many food options nearby and great access to public transport. It was quiet at night, and the air conditioner worked perfectly. The only downside for me was the pillows — they were extremely soft and gave me a sore neck. But I understand this may not be an issue for everyone, and many hotels use similar pillows anyway. The room looked exactly like in the photos: clean, cozy, and fully equipped. All questions were answered very quickly and kindly. Honestly, this is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in — and for this price, it was a total surprise. I’m extremely satisfied and would absolutely stay here again if I get the chance.

• Jonas (8/5): Comfortable Apartment, but Be Prepared for the Surroundings - Apartment Room 5 itself is excellent—clean, well-furnished, and fully functional. It includes a fridge, stove, electric kettle, TV, and air conditioning, all in good working order. The modern bathroom was clean, with no unpleasant odors, and I experienced no issues during my stay. Do note that Room 5 is located at the top of the building with no elevator. The stairs are steep, which may be a concern if you’re carrying heavy luggage. While the apartment interior is very good, the immediate surroundings may not be suitable for everyone. The neighborhood is a lower-income residential area near Taksim Square. To reach the property, expect to walk uphill and downhill on uneven roads. Good footwear is essential, especially if you're carrying bags. The streets around the apartment are often littered, with noticeable garbage and occasional strong odors from organic waste or sewage. One nearby house appears to process mussels, which adds to the smell in the area. Overall, the apartment itself is great value for the price, but potential guests should be aware of the environment outside the building. It may not be ideal for those expecting a more polished or tourist-friendly neighborhood.

Our neighbors were very noisy in the evening, but I don’t think it’s the fault of the hotel owners. In the end, this hotel is truly comfortable, just like in the pictures, and we are very satisfied.

• Narmin (10/5): A newly renovated, clean, and well-equipped lodging with a charming kitchenette, seamless service, and a polite, attenti - The room had everything we needed and looked exactly like it did in the pictures! It’s newly renovated, spotlessly clean, and the building itself is very appealing. I especially loved the little kitchenette, which we used daily to cook meals and save money on takeout or dining out. On top of that, the lodging is approved by the Tourism Department, which adds an extra layer of credibility and trustworthiness. The check-in and check-out processes were seamless! The owner was incredibly polite and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. He ensured our stay was as comfortable as possible, which truly added a personal touch to the experience. Although many people and countless YouTube videos warned that this neighborhood might be sketchy or unsafe, that seems to be a thing of the past. The government is clearly working hard to transform the area into a tourist-friendly destination. Many buildings and streets have been renovated and turned into hotels, and we felt completely safe throughout our stay. We would definitely come back!

• Karina (10/5): Exceptional - It was amazing time in Yellow house room. Rooms are new, has everything what you need. Room has small kitchen, there is everything you need to make breakfast. Very quiet at night. Location is very nice, close to Taksim, area is safe, from begging it looks like dangerous street but than you understand that nobody will disturb you. very polite and attentive staff. I will definitely come back here again. Nothing.
• Beca06 (8/5): Very good - It's a newly renovated accommodation, that's why when I was there, the room still didn't have the AC installed, but they provided a fan, which was good enough for the period I stayed. The studio isn't too big, but very new and clean, shower is good and the small kitchen is nicely equipped with enough tools. And it's a quieter neighborhood during the night, overall it's a lovely stay! It's a building without lifts, which a lot of Istanbul buildings are like that, if you travel with lots of luggages, you might want to ask for the room in a lower floor, plus the streets around are quite steep, by walk is gonna be a bit challenging, I think taxi would be easier and nicer option for come and go.
