- Thùy (10/5): - Yên tĩnh Ko có
- Eka Rahayu (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean room, air conditioner good condition, hotel in the small street. If you have a big luggage you can book the bigger room because if you want to bring it to your room, you need to carry it with stairs.
- HOI (1/5): - I called the reception and spoke with the hotel's oner, Trang Trinh, on the day I booked online when I was in the bus with heavy luggage on the day before flying back to US. The owner told me that I should not come to her hotel because the room is only 9 square meters and has no elevator. Really surprised by this because it looks different from my booking described on the hotel's website. It was a really hard time with me because it was very hard to book another room in another hotel.
I am a Vietnamese American and understand deeply Vietnamese culture and the way Vietnamese business owners manage their business. They can deny any room or taxi bookings without a reasonable reason. They kick you out to pick up another booking with more days for more profit.
I booked online just for a day at An Chi Hotel, and the owner kicked me out for the above reason without any previous announcement!

- Linda (8/5): Comfortable room and very nice staff - I've really appreciated the kindness of the owner!
- Thao (9/5): excellent, Good location, Clean Facility, friendly and helpful staff - Good location, clean room no Kettle in the room

- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional - A wonderful stay and a great value. The room was clean and comfortable. The fan , aircon and mini all worked excellent. The bed was big and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and receptive to any needs. The best part was the location and the local feel. There’s a market and plenty of food drink and coffee options within a few steps.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - An Chi Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. It is located in a very local and very authentic part of Saigon, which I really got a kick out of. When in Vietnam, I appreciated the opportunity to feel amongst the locals and immersed in the culture. Mr. Dan and his family, who run An Chi, went above and beyond in their friendliness and graciousness. Dan provided many local tips, and even helped me to figure out the public transit system. I highly recommend!
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luna (10/5): Exceptional - I normally don’t trust 10 stars reviews but the place is way better than I Imagine, air con, fridge, fan, tv, hot shower, bathroom amenities, toilet paper, super comfortable bed, clean, quiet, and 24h front desk.
- Sean (9/5): Great value and convenience - Proximity with the market A little difficult to pin location for transport pick up. Need to walk out to the main road
- Agnese (7/5): Good - Location
- Eva (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful, helpful owners. Nice clean room, small but cosy
- Lee (10/5): Exceptional - Great room very comfortable and the staff were incredibly helpful and warm friendly people.
- Moritz (10/5): Top! - Small room which had everything you need. Very quiet. 20-30 min to district 1 by bus for 5000 to 7000 VND. Close to airport. Would stay here again! Thanks for the late check in.

- Mohamed (9/5): Superb -
- King (8/5): A comfortable stay and helpful hosts. - Very close to the market. Very clean. Away from traffic so it's quiet at night. There is almost no hot water at the shower, not even lukewarm.
- Lam (9/5): Superb -
- Bertrand (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent stay, owner is very kind and is very willing to help and chat, wonderful staff, I recommend and I will certainly go there again if I'm in need of a room!

- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Definitely one of the best places we've booked in Vietnam. Very friendly. Very clean, fresh smell. Super nice room with a view. Very nice shower. We also got our laundry washed within a day and very cheap.
- Joshua (6/5): Pleasant - Helpful with onward travel. No Wi-Fi advertised in room. Had to pay when we arrived at 1am
- Alan (9/5): Superb - Tan, the proprietor, consistently displayed exceptional kindness and helpfulness whenever called upon. He generously devoted 1.5 hours to personally contacting the train station to rectify our ticketing issue, as the website proved uncooperative. The accommodations were pristine, and conveniently situated near numerous amenities. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment.

- Nikola (6/5): Pleasant - Check ins anytime, but when we wanted to check in at 9 am we were told our room is yet engaged. We were offered to have another room (according to the owner bigger) immediately for 50000 VND. Well, the size was same what we booked here, so it felt like earning money on tourists. Otherwise all good.
- Lê (9/5): Good for price - Clean, warm lighting, host friendly, elevator hotel No bancol in our room, bad internet
- Dawid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natascha (10/5): We felt like home! Quiet, clean and friendly stay! Owners are the best!!! - Our stay was WONDERFUL thanks to lovely Dan and his wife (unfortunately never asked her name) ! They were super friendly and helpful. Explained us about the bus timetables (very easy and cheapest way to the center), the street food + taxi and fair prices, walked us to a supermarket and places to eat nearby the first night when we arrived in the late evening. Both very open minded and we enjoyed having a chat with them everytime we arrived home. Right next to their place is a really nice vegetarian Restaurant with lovely Viatnamese food to start the day, very nice ladys running it. He had recommended it to us when we asked for Veggie food. But in the whole market nearby you can find delicious street food. Eventhough the area is very vibrant and the little alleys super busy, the room was exceptional quiet since the hotel is hidden in a small alley. Great to find good quiet sleep, also the mattrass was very comfortable. Aircon and luckily fan in the room available.
We also could do some laundry there, super quick and clean return. They helped us organising a taxi to the airport and even called our next accommodation for us as we needed an information.
If every hotel in the world would be run by owners like them, a most pleasant experience would be guaranteed during all the travels. THANK YOU AGAIN SO MUCH for making our stay so familiar and comfortable. We definately suggest a stay!!!! Nothing really!!
If I need to tell one thing, the fan could need a good wipe from dust. That is all.
- Kai (10/5): Exceptional - The accomodation is basic but clean, the bathroom is new and the bed comfy. The owner is unbelievable friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our stay.
- Delyan (7/5): Good - The family which is running the hotel is friendly and helpful.
The room was fairly clean, the bathroom and bed were nice.
There is an elevator.
It's basically in between the airport and district 1 so if you're flying out, it's very convenient that the airport is a 5-10 min drive away.
If you have a short amount of time and you mostly want to see the important sights of and nearby the city, it's a good chance to experience a very local neighborhood of Saigon just by taking a short walk around the hotel. Mostly the location is a nightmare. Based on the price, it isn't far from the center, it's in a lovely non-touristy buzzing neighborhood but.. it's not only hard to find the first time, it's extremely difficult with Grab bikes/taxis. I relied only on wifi as I didn't buy a local SIM card, but even if you have mobile internet, almost every driver will arrive at a slightly different location every next time. They'll call you and try to explain where they are in Vietnamese, some cars will come to "car pick up point" (which is different than the "bike pick-up point" as you'll find out upon booking, the hotel is in a narrow alleyway which isn't accessible to cars), some other cars will stop nearby because even the street in the busy hours is so full of bikes that a car wouldn't be able to enter. As the GPS system for Grabs in Vietnam is literally non-functional, that makes it a real struggle every time you go somewhere, particularly when it's raining.
The other downside is that I'm not sure I can compare it based on on the value for money with other places in Saigon - the photos I remember on the advert are actually photos of the deluxe room which costed 150,000 dong for 3 nights additionally for the upgrade (so instead of 13 euro per night, 15 euro per night). I was already looking at more centrally located small hotels for 10 to 12 euro per night but chose this one based on the more favourable reviews only.
Another downside which, however, is really a common experience in Vietnam based on three tourist trips I've made by far, is the noisiness. It's not next to a karaoke club or a restaurant street, neither next to a construction site (which I've had before) however, late evening noice that sounded like the steady thumping of a water pump could be heard, as well as early morning kids shouting and playing in the alley below the rooms one of the mornings.
- Avraham (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christian (10/5): Awesome hosts running a newly renovated hotel in a great location. - Fantastic hosts: very caring, lovely host couple with good English skills. They were always down for a chat answering all my questions, showing me in person a restaurant around the corner, making phone calls for me when needed, offering me food and tea, providing me with a bowl for hand washing my clothes, etc. The market is less than 200m away and the streets are lined with food stalls. A convenience store is also just a 2min stroll away. The hotel is a mix between homestay and hotel. They just renovated and everything is brand new and very clean for Vietnamese standards. They even have a lift although the hotel has only 7 rooms. The hotel is perfect if you want to immerse yourself into the lifestyle of normal Vietnamese people away from the tourist areas. I felt very comfortable and would stay at An Chi hotel again for sure. The hotel is tricky to find as it is in a side alley coming off a smaller street.
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very nice and clean. The owners were helpful and sweet. I would highly recommend!
