• Gabriella (8/5): Stunning views in a fabulous property, but can be noisy if you are used to quieter environments. - Beau's communication was excellent. The property is a very impressive structure, and the views are absolutely stunning. All the furniture is bespoke and the fire logs available were very appreciated, as was the washer and dryer. I loved having the 'rails to trails' trail just a 5 min steep walk at the back of the house. The beds were comfortable and the wifi was fast. So wonderful to be able to stay in a fabulous place like this. The ground floor is private and not accessible, which was not mentioned in the listing. It was mostly no issue because no one was there most of the time, but it was in use one evening and the TV noise travelled easily up the stairway. It's worth noting, if you are sound sensitive, the noise from Nelson travels up the hill (cars, construction etc). There is also no door on the master bedroom upstairs! Which leads directly into the main living space so for me, the noise was too transmissible when my friend arrived and woke me up a lot.

• Debi (10/5): Stunning views, amazing house, wonderful for a special occasion - Wow. The pictures don’t actually do justice to this lovely house. The view is amazing. Also amazing is the house is very well equipped. The kitchen is great to cook in as it has high end appliances, all of the tools you’ll need, and a pretty good supply of more of the basics that you’ll ever need. Nelson is a very cool City. The house is a 15 minute walk downhill to downtown. The neighbourhood is quiet and people are very friendly. The driveway is a challenge and I expect if it was icy or rainy it would be quite intimidating. That said, you can park on the road and walk up.

• John (10/5): This is a beautiful, quiet and very relaxing place with easy access to amenities. - This is a beautiful, very modern house in a great location - quiet and with incredible views, but only 5 minutes drive from central Nelson. Fixtures, appliances and furniture all new and in excellent condition. It did take a while to figure out all the controls, with multiple remotes and wall switches. We did fine with the switchback driveway access and stairs, but they could be challenging for people with physical limitations. Should be a safety railing on the edge of the concrete platform in front of the storage door

• Cindy (10/5): Beautiful and comfortable place for young people - families without young children or elderlies - Beautiful open-concept design of the home, feels luxurious, stunning view, fully equipped kitchen, very nice and responsive host. Driveway to parking is unpaved, steep, unguarded with a sharp angle where we had to do 3-point turn. Master bedroom upstairs had no doors for privacy. Second room is right underneath master bedroom and soundproofing is not good. Quite a bit of stairs to get to front door, and more uphill when we parked along the street and walked up the driveway.
• Jim (10/5): The Perfect Getaway - We recently stayed at Mountain Haus for our honeymoon and a family trip, and it was nothing short of spectacular - 10/10! The open-plan living space is a work of art, the handmade furnishings by local craftsmen add a unique, authentic touch. The air conditioning was a lifesaver in the heat, and the high-speed internet and Smart TV kept us entertained during our downtime. Waking up to the stunning views of Elephant Mountain from the Master Suite was a dream come true. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, and the ensuite was like having our own personal spa. The main floor bedroom was equally impressive, with a cozy queen bed with easy access to another well-appointed bathroom. The kitchen also had great views, complete with top-of-the-line appliances and not one, but two coffee makers—Braun and Nespresso, with capsules included! The in-floor radiant heat, walk-in rain showers, Haiku ceiling fans, and central air filtration made our stay incredibly comfortable. The full-size washer and dryer were a convenient touch, and the luxury bedding and towels were the cherry on top of an already perfect stay. We went Skiiing at Whitewater and the kids loved it! We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Mountain Haus to anyone looking for a luxurious, yet homey Nelson getaway.
