We stayed for a wedding in Nuriootpa, so for us a little far but great for grooms pre photos! Perfect location for visitors to the Barossa Valley, Central for many attractions and walkable to Hentley Farm.

Luxuriously appointed bedrooms, every detail from the beds to the linen was beautiful. Hosts provided cheese board and fresh bread, everything you could possibly want was in this home. Loved it.

I couldn’t reccomend it more! - Location was perfect to explore the Barossa, the house is beautiful (inside and out!) all the extra touches such as the gift of wine and breakfast provisions just made it so special Nothing!!!!
• Suzan (9/5): Very relaxing, plenty of space to spread out, an attentitive host ensured our stay was an enjoyable one. - It’s a lovely house. Very spacious. It has everything you need for a short stay in The Barossa. Great breakfast provisions and any personalised requests were provided, a cheese & nibbles board & a lovely bottle of wine - all included. Slippers, robes & very comfortable bedrooms. We were there in very harsh, dry, hot weather so the gardens were struggling but they are beautiful & would be lovely to sit out and enjoy on cooler days. The grounds are lovely.

The location was perfect — quiet and relaxing, yet very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The host was attentive, welcoming, and made the entire stay feel effortless. Every detail had clearly been thought through, which made it a genuinely relaxing experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend the Retreat to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located, and high-quality place to stay.

• Rachael (10/5): Beautiful house, centrally located. - The house was fantastic, so many areas to hang out and relax. Would be lovely to sit in the outside areas in the warmer weather. Breakfast was great. So many options that catered for every ones tastes. Wendy was great to deal with, extremely helpful with any questions we had prior to our stay. Everything we needed was there including moisturisers and body wash etc. The house is centrally located right in the heart of the Barossa. Many of the main wineries and tourist attractions are only a short drive away.

In addition to breakfast there was a great welcome platter of cheeses and wine. The house was exceptionally well stocked with pretty much all kitchen products that one would need to dine in. Bathrooms were well supplied. The property offered everything we wanted and more for a lovely weekend stay with friends. The air con was very welcome as the days were exceptionally hot.
