Guest Reviews
- Angela (7/5): Would stay again, thankyou - Location perfect and my host was really friendly and kind. Matching bed linen
- Deepthi (10/5): - Very easy to manage the stay and the host is very friendly and caring Nothing
- David (3/5): Dingy, dodgy, DON'T. - Good location for the station. There is a lock on the bedroom door. They have kept the toilet reasonably clean. The floor seemed clean and the bedclothes also seemed clean. Friendly host. The dread began as soon as I saw the frail-looking dirty front door. I closed it behind me to see a sign warning that the door was dodgy and that intruders can get in. Then up the filthy wooden stairs. A knock on a flimsy flat door, which is then opened by a large, flamboyant continental bloke in his pyjamas, who then showed me through the dark hallway with a weird curtain along the left hand side, into the only bedroom. Clearly this is his bedroom, which he and his friend had clearly recently vacated to make way for the new guest. Meanwhile, they appeared to be using whatever space – perhaps a couch; wouldn't like to speculate – is behind those curtains. So I felt that I had chucked these boys out of their bedroom. The bedroom itself is not all that "bright" because it faces an alleyway. You can have the window open but of course it's Kings Cross, so it's noisy as hell. The bedside light is bust. It is just a room, no mirror, or anything welcoming. Even the shabby hotels in KX, of which I have seen many, have a table or a telly and a bedside lamp. The bathroom was a good size but I felt awkward using it as I kept finding it in use and bumping into the host in the small hours. One of the plugs appeared to be chipped or melted. The bed was reasonably comfy but there was a single, rather sad-looking pillow so you couldn't sit up in bed and read. I had to go out and get drunk so that I could be reasonably confident of getting any sleep. In the morning, I just got up and left because there was someone in the shower, and I had no wish to bump into a freshly primped, steaming lump of flesh. Wishing no ill will on the host(s?), who were very friendly, I have to warn people that this felt like sofa surfing with strangers. I have rented my flat on AirBnB, and it takes a lot of work and attention to detail. This is a scam, and unsuitable for renting. Worst 83 quid I ever spent.
- Patricia (7/5): Not bad but don’t have expectations of a fancy room very basic - This a a shared room in the owner house. He is right next to the room behind a curtain . Owner very friendly and helpful Not sure was the bed linen clean smell a bid like body odour and only one flat worn out pillow on the bed. Bathroom shared with owner
- Ilvy (8/5): - Super friendly host and extremely central to St Pancras station. Perfect place to stay for a few nights. Enough privacy and the room has all you need. For this price, I would look no further!
- Grace (8/5): - Great communication and welcome from the host. Great location for King’s Cross/ tube
- Kevin (10/5): Fitted my needs perfectly. - A warm and personal welcome. A comfortable room and bed. And excellent location for St Pancras International.
- Faon1807 (8/5): Super hôte, super emplacement ! -
- Matthew (10/5): - Host was superb. Very clean and great location Nothing
- Kjell (7/5): -
- Sarah (3/5): It served its purpose - The owner was pleasant . Close to station Scruffy entrance, ill equipped bedroom
- Hamil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Piotr (5/5): Quite OK as for out expectations - We liked that the room was pretty close to the Tube and that there were a lot of dinings around. We weren't able to close the room door while we were outside, and the host had his room connected with the corridor, the curtain was the border between the corridor and his room...
- Daniel (6/5): Pleasant - Location and cost
- Ronald (8/5): Very good -
- Supinya (9/5): Superb - Location and kind host.
- Matias (9/5): Superb -
- Emily (8/5): Very good -
