Guest Reviews
- Sophia (8/5): -
- Mckinnon (7/5): - Nice location and a small but nice property The air-conditioning was poor which when combined with summer heat and loft sleeping arrangements made sleeping uncomfortable
- Sharon (6/5): The apartment was sufficient for a short stay close to Elwood and St. Kilda. - Within a comfortable walking distance of restaurants, bars, sops and public transport. Large flat screen tv with access to WiFi and many channels. Dark apartment with the majority of windows downstairs obscured. Gate from apartment opened directly onto a road with no warning that cars could be passing. Freezer was iced over and dirty. Rubbish under the sofa. Air conditioning in the bedroom was running too hot and we were unable to turn it down or off. We were required to remove the bed sheets before leaving and to place the rubbish in the bin of a house around the block from the apartment, even though the costs included a cleaning fee. The key pick up and drop off point was also at a house around the block from the apartment- this was quite difficult given we had lots of luggage and did not have a car.
- Kaila (10/5): Cozy nook in best part of Melbourne. - Such a cute place to stay! We loved it - easy walk to Acland st and we caught the tram to Mabel stadium - so easy to get into the city, but your abode is in the lush leafy suburbs.
- David (9/5): Great apartment for what we wanted. Comfortable beds - Quiet area but good location. Not far to main street St Kilda resturants No name for the alley way to access the apartment. Not easy for taxi or urber food to find the place
- Dee (9/5): Superb -
- Bauer (7/5): It was ok but little improvements could make it a much better experience - Great location Shower to small, limited cutlery, coffe machine wood be great, entry door can only be half opened, stairs to upstairs are dangerous and one can hurt himself going up, long walk with luggage to Appartement
- Farmer (4/5): Disappointing - Location The fact the key was 300 meters from the property. The cooking equipment was dirty.
Didn’t meet building standards - the staircase upstairs was very difficult to navigate without hitting your head. There was only a front door exit - god forbid there be a fire. The front door was jammed - my pregnant friend couldn’t get in - very embarrassing.
I don’t consider on street parking to be part of a “parking” definition. I could go on. The host was far from pleasant on the phone (I accidentally left the key inside on leaving)
- Ward (8/5): Lovely little get away in wonderful Elwood - Lovely little conversion. Loved the upper floor bedroom. Location opening into the cobbled alley was perfect. Shower was superbly hot and powerful Front door was a bit sticky
- Corinne (9/5): Superb - A great place to stay close, to St Kilda.
Comfortable beds , great contemporary furnishing and gorgeous toiletries .
Lovely space.
- Eddie (8/5): Great location, attentive host, met all our needs for the triathlon we came for! -
- Patrick (9/5): Great weekend/midweek getaway - In a great location, good amenities and beautiful street scapes around the place, was lovely The staircase is a bit tight, need to watch you head
- Miranda (10/5): Lovely - It was such an iconic Elwood home We just couldn’t find any bin bags to throw our rubbish away with but we probably should have bought some
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Indigo (8/5): Excellent location, on the minimalistic side, suited our needs well. - - The location is excellent; nice and quiet neighbourhood with very accessible public transport.
- The property was secure and we felt safe.
- Hosts provided plenty of bedding.
- We enjoyed having access to Netflix. - Would have liked to be provided with more towels.
- The kitchen wasn’t well enough equipped to properly cook. There were essential utensils missing, as well as a lack of basics such as salt, pepper, and oil.
- The stairs felt a bit unsafe to use - it was fine for us, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone with mobility issues.
- Neela (10/5): We had a wonderful stay- evertything was perfect for our needs. - Very cute little home- self-contained . Well- resourced. Clean and eficient bathroom- great shower. Lovely location of Elwood. Very Comfy beds. Really homely feel . We felt very much at home. Possible a washing machine would be a welcome addition however there was a laundrette around the córner.
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Spiral stairs
On street parking
- Sankaran (10/5): Cozy and peaceful! - Beautiful property! True to the images on the listing. Nestled inside a quiet residential area. Making you feel like a local. Karen was a lovely host and left us with a cozy house for our stay!
10/10 would visit again.
- Harris (10/5): Excellent experience - Very well kept and close to the beach.
- Laylarni (10/5): Exceptional - So cute it's a hidden gem
- Julia (10/5): Live like a local in this lovely little neighbourhood property. Spacious for a family of 4, easy access to everything an - Loved the location, felt like a Melbourne local and easy walking distance to cafes and bars
- Michael (7/5): Good - Premises were comfortable and clean. Property could do with laundry facilities. Was a bit awkward having to strip beds etc and place linen in downstairs bathroom. Also having to dispose of rubbish by dragging same down alleyway, out on to street and around the corner was a bit of a nightmare especially since we were paying $140 for cleaning.
- Alana (9/5): Superb -
- Shane (10/5): Very good facilities and accomodating host. - Very clean property and in a great location
- Ashleigh (5/5): Passable - Clean, extremely responsive host Basically staying on their property in their back granny flat, basketball hoop literally up against the property so bangs when kids are playing basketball. Very low roof in the bedroom loft area. Fine and comfortable if you need a short stay - certainly overpriced for the nights we stayed.
