- M (9/5): Peaceful holiday retreat - Quiet, clean with great kitchen accessories. Kangaroos and birds. About 1.5km walk to beach. Nothing.
- Pierre (10/5): - Maison de vacances parfaitement équipée dans laquelle nous avons passé une semaine très reposante ! Et les kangourous dans Le jardin ! Tres Bon accueil de Marcus !
- Penny (8/5): Lovely stay in one of our favourite locations. The house was older style but well equiped and homely - The house was very spacious and well equipped for a 2 bedroom property. Host was very helpful and responsive. The kitchen had all the essentials which is always a bonus.
The location of the property was right near the lake and close proximity to beaches . The second bedroom would suit families better if it had 2 singles rather than a double .
Internet was off and on and a bit slow .
Couldn’t get the back tv to work.
- Portland (10/5): Great beach shack - Loved this place. So cosy and lots of books and games and a large years. Near a cafe and really for a family or friends this place is awesome
- Noemi Alejandra (10/5): Perfect - The house was completely cozy, we truly felt at home. There’s nothing missing, everything is perfectly equipped to provide the best experience. The location and neighborhood are just perfect, surrounded by nature, with kangaroos in the backyard and countless colorful birds singing all around, which you can enjoy from the beautifully kept and spacious garden. Communication with the host was excellent.

- Gwenn (9/5): Great place and location for a holiday down the coast - We just spent a week in Cudmirrah and had a good time there. The house was great, comfortable, with a very nice garden at the back. It was very quiet (minus a dog two houses down that briefly barked every time we stepped a foot outside). It was lovely to have breakfast in the morning on the terrace at the back and be surrounded only by the sound of birds in the overhead trees. Same thing for lunch and dinner. It was great to have the whole place to ourselves, and without loud or nosy neighbours. We had some friendly visitors a couple of times (kangaroos). It was good to know that we could contact the owner if needed. The lake and the sea are very close and not crowded. We have stayed in a few places over the years in the Jervis Bay-Sussex Inlet area, and it is quite clearly the best we have had in that price range. We will be back. The house was great but could do with a bit of upkeep/upgrading. The driveway would definitely need to be redone. Be cautious if you are driving a low car or walking, there is a slump and some parts of the driveway are smashed and quite frankly a hazard. It would be good to have a lock on the bathroom door, blockout curtains on the windows for privacy and light, and the big hole in the laundry ceiling doesn’t look too good... The kitchen would also need to be upgraded.
- Lisa (10/5): I loved it will go back - Lots No block out blinds in the bedroom
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good - Quiet, private. Full kitchen with anything you need to cook at home. Close to lake and ocean. Good internet, entertainment, lots of books. Comfortable bed. Good towels and linen provided. Excellent hot water. Very responsive owner. A lived in feel. The couches are low, hard to get out of for older adults. The recliners are very hard to get out of.
- Chatura (8/5): Very good - Accommodation was both spacious and well-equipped. Adequate facilty for BBQ. Should clear the expired and old spices, sources and oil in the fridge and cupboards.
- Simon (9/5): Very comfortable family cottage - Great little place with plenty of room, 2 living spaces and outdoor undercover deck. 2nd toilet and shower available in the internal laundry.
The lake and beach are within walking distance and great for swimming, fishing, boarding and diving.
There is also a great cafe within walking distance with regular specials including Woodford pizza, as well as a basic selection of groceries.
The local kangaroos are a treat at dusk and dawn, grazing on the lawn and making themselves at home. Driveway was a little uneven with a large step up which was difficult for my station wagon to negotiate. Peak holiday period meant that the caravan park opposite the house was busy and noisy on occasion.
- Terri (7/5): Good -
- Lior (9/5): Superb - The location and facilities were great and we enjoyed it. WiFi and internet were very patchy.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - I had a lovely stay in Cudmirrah. Thank you, Marcus. Wildlife can be a bit loud at night but that’s part of the experience, I would say.
- Samantha (7/5): Good - Nice and tidy, have evey facilities. Loved the wildlife that came to visit. I recommend an instruction sheet for future visitors in regards to:
Use of oven
Use of TV's
Advise about ticks (was aware as had spent my younger years there) just didn't realise they were as bad now as 30 years ago I lost our family dog staying at Swan haven due to a tick.
Do up a instruction sheet and laminate
For BBQ
Oven
Microwave
Use of TV's and stereo
And other instructions.
House was lovely.
Did have to use a towel to dry floors when we got there so we didn't slip.
Also second bedroom maybe look at blinds (understand it's an expense) room was lovely but to light and had to hang blankets on windows 😀
We did have a lovely stay and the above is only a suggestion
- Milena (10/5): Comfortable little haven, short walk to the beach and near the lake - Proximity to the beach, the lake and the bush. It was clean, well equipped and very comfortable.
Communication with the host was excellent.
- Nicolas (9/5): Superb - The housse is great and well equiped.
Perfect for people liking nature and surfing.
- Kathryn (9/5): Brilliant relaxing home with all you need for a great stay - Location was great & the house was fantastic
- Pauline (10/5): Loved everything about our stay here. The perfect getaway for us. - Sparkling clean, spacious yet cosy, full kitchen and laundry facilities, large bathtub, large outdoor eating area, cosy front verandah seating, comfortable bed, quiet and surrounded by sounds of nature. Easy walking distance to lake, National park, cafe and beach.
- Michael (8/5): Relaxed. - The location neat the lake and facilities but away from Sussex Inlet was just what we wanted. The property was a good size too. Very clean and very functional. Easy to relax.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice house, well presented and clean.
Has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We will stay there again if we travel that way.
