Guest Reviews

- Merlyn (8/5): Apart from the bedding issues it was a fabulous stay - We never had breakfast there the single bed in the small bedroom was awful . The wooden base it was on was split in the middle and the mattress and the base squeaked all night. My grandson could not sleep in the bed .We had to take the mattress off one of the single beds in the other bedroom and put it on the floor for him for the 5 nights.
- Siew Bee (10/5): Enjoyable stay in Bowen Toft! - Well equipped and clean with 3 toilets and bedrooms. Hard to find such in Hobart. None
- Lorraine (7/5): Great but!!! - The house was comfortable but needed maintenance. Close the Hobart and Cascades The fact we were not advised about the steep steps from the carport to the front door and a lack of lighting on the stairs at night.. We were also unable to open windows for fresh air. There were a few other maintenance issues requiring attention.
The use of waterproof quilt covers made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. We have NEVER come accross these before.
- Dianne (10/5): - The house dates back to the 1930s and Isfull of character. The bathrooms and kitchen have been nicely renovated
The location is great giving you the opportunity to walk into town either via a nature trail or the road to look at all the different architecture.
- Louise (10/5): Excellent accomodation and communication with host. - Perfect quiet location surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife. Very comfortable house with everything we could possibly need. Great communication with host. Nothing - everything was perfect.

- Ka Leung Anson (10/5): - Very happy stay, great to see animals around the area especially the Platypus at the Hobart Rivulet! A very organised host!
- MARY ELIZABETH (10/5): Great location, large comfortable home to hang out after a day of touristing! - Very close to the Hobart Rivulet, saw a platypus in two separate walks! Pademelons in the yard everyday! All good, well stocked kitchen.
- Trish (10/5): Family friendly, host was fabulous, felt safe and every request was accommodated - perfect location. easy to find everything. details in the emails so clear and concise accommodated my family and felt like i was at home
- Verdonck (10/5): - It was all excellent and made our family holiday very easy to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The kids and adults all loved the wallabies in the garden and we did see the platypus in the riverlet which was amazing. The house is exceptional 👌 Nothing bad to report
- Leonie Brown (10/5): A great place to stay - We had a great stay. Very comfortable beds. A lovely, quiet, spacious property. Great communication with the owners and they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

- Geoff (9/5): Convenient, comfortable and easy to access all that Hobart and region has to offer - You get a good workout going down to the house and back up to your car. The payoff is the views of Hobart and the bay from the house. Walking distance to the local pub which served great meals. Great location to travel to the local golf courses. Beautiful period home refurbished to a very high standard. The pillows
- Frances (10/5): Beautiful property - Beautiful property. Immaculately clean and well organised. Appreciated the communication with the owner and her generosity in accommodating our request for an early check in, and also for the snacks, gin samples and no extra cost for extra towels etc (not that we used any extras).
Property is located in a nice suburb with a walk along the Hobart rivulet.
- Gemma (9/5): Neat and clean, lovely touches for a comfortable stay. Plenty of space for the family. - Neat and clean. Lots of attention to detail in the extra touches for making guests comfortable - eg. selection of teas, drinks snacks, all the little comforts of home. Nice historic home. Lots of potential for the backyard to be a nice outside sitting area. Although it’s steep, a terraced section and lovely garden would just finish off a lovely house.
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was excellent. Highly recommended. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you soo much for this unforgettable trip.
- Jialian (9/5): Very happy to have stayed in this lovely house—my first choice if I ever come to Hobart again! - The house is spotless and incredibly well-equipped, with everything you could possibly need. It’s beautifully renovated and feels fresh and modern. The best part? Two friendly wallabies visit the backyard daily, and you can enjoy watching them through the kitchen window. Plus, the delectable complimentary snacks, drinks, and sweets were such a thoughtful touch, a truly delightful experience! Some minor fixtures could use a little adjustment to make them more stable, such as the toilet cover in the master room, the cloth hook on the wall of the master room, the door handle in the kids’ room, and the clock on the wall. However, these are small details and didn’t affect our overall enjoyment of the stay.
- Marcel (10/5): Quiet gem that is nice and close to everything. Had idyllic charm and would definitely stay again - Location was great- nice and quiet- had two little potoroos in the garden.
- Abhilash (10/5): Serene, Convenient and Homely Getaway close to Hobart CBD - Very simple instructions on obtaining the key.
The host had provided us a range of information from good places to visit, eat, as well as where the closest amenities were knowing we were travelling with a young child
The host was contactable and very responsive in every situation where assistance or advice was needed. I think there was very little to be improved upon. These hosts nailed it.
- Paula (10/5): Beautiful older home. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend. - Great location. Clean with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this property.
