Guest Reviews
- Valerie (9/5): I would love to stay longer when my circumstances allow. - Quiet, eco sustainable, compact but spacious The hand basin in bathroom below mirror, very difficult to clean teeth without bumping head.
- Rohitsingh (10/5): - Fully nature vibes Fully nature vibes
- Robert (8/5): - Nice and quiet. Nothing
- tim (10/5): relaxing, peaceful and calm. - Beautiful setting, easily accessed and well presented.
Excellent outdoor areas and not overlooked by neighbours or other residents at the property
loved the eco commitment. My only complaint and this relates purely to my size (6'1' and broad shouldered) and is a personal design issue as an architect. The bathroom was tight. That said, the amenity was outstanding.
- Melissa (9/5): Great - The strong commitment to sustainability and attractiveness
- Deborah (8/5): - Nice and quiet position.
Well set out for the size of the space Nothing
- Manon (9/5): -
- Frank (10/5): We were attending a Bowling competition in Ballarat, - Love the country vibe of the cottage so comfortable easy to relax. Nil
- Antony (7/5): Nice area near Guildford and interesting history book on Yapeen. - Neat but sits between trees so lacking view. Nice and quiet. You need to bring everything including wood for outside fire. Heavily wooded area ?
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Longstaff (9/5): -
- Joan (4/5): Very disappointing...will not recommend or return. - location was good place was extremely cluttered/ sofa bed/settee was very uncomfortable/ plants were almost dead/ microwave was in the small clothes hanging closet/sink in very small bathroom was not usable for anything other than washing hands(low hung cupboard over it meant that only hands fitted underneath)/ firepit was advertised as a feature but no wood ...for what was offered, it was well overpriced.
- gideon (9/5): Lovely isolated spot to spend the night - Quiet location. Cozy amenities.
- Emma (10/5): Lovely hideaway in the countryside - Clean, tastefully decorated. Loved the hammock and the outdoor area. Excellent climate control.
- Remi (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful eco studio with all the comfort, perfect for a retreat in nature. Close to Castlemaine and Daylesford
- Pathak (7/5): Good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Haemish (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (10/5): Perfect location with helpful owners. - Property was clean, comfortable, airy, quiet in a garden setting and thoughtfully equipped with games, and books. It was all great.
- Ababei (7/5): Good -
- Adem (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Great little studio with state of the art facilities, located in a very peaceful and relaxing environment. We are not familiar with the TV and could not get our favourite ABC or SBS programs.
- Penelope (9/5): Superb -
- Erica (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful, light-filled, airy and private retreat with everything supplied to make our holiday comfortable and happy.
- Carlos (8/5): Very good -
- Monzurul (10/5): Great little place. Clean and tidy, environment friendly and fantastic night sky view. -
- Louisa (10/5): Cosy, comfortable place to spend some quality relaxing time away from the busyness of the city. - We loved our stay at the Eco Studio. The studio was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Great location, quick drive to all the amenities Castlemaine has to offer. Also loved Buddy the dog! What a sweetheart Nothing! :)
- Anny (9/5): Perfect place for a country getaway - Comfortable and cosy little place that's perfect for a weekend away. The studio is beautifully furnished, clean and has all the required amenities. The studio is in a peaceful and private location, with larger townships only a short drive away. Matt and Hayley provided plenty of info prior to our arrival, taking the stress away - thanks for the lovely stay! The bathroom basin is quite small, which makes brushing teeth a challenge. But that's easily overcome by using the kitchen sink instead :)
- Mike (7/5): We were comfortable during our short stay. - We self catered breakfast. Fortunately we travel with a good quality frying pan & spatula of our own.
The room was comfortable & the bed was also very good. We slept well ;-)
The Tefal plug in induction cook top works well & was intuitive to use.
The reverse cycle heating works well and is quiet.
There were many options to charge phones & other tech gadgets. The basin in the ensuite is way too small, difficult to clean teeth without dribbling on the floor, ended up using the kitchen sink for teeth.
Some of the crockery was not clean... The frying pan needs to be replaced - too small and worn out surface.
We had trouble with the TV and could not find channel 9 to see Tipping Point. Perhaps more detailed instructions would have helped.
There were no drawers to unpack small items of clothing but good hanging area with many hangers.
A 2nd bedside lamp would have been appreciated
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bianca (9/5): Beautiful and warm place for a quiet getaway. - Cosy, warm and quiet spot. Quality touches Bathroom sink a little to small to be practical under the vanity
- Marie (9/5): Superb -
- Helen (10/5): Solo R & R - A completely private space, well equipped self contained studio, such a relaxed and 'homey' set up, warm and cosy. Daylight from all directions- perfect.
- David (6/5): Excellent location but disappointing on small details - Quiet location. Excellent for star gazing. Good shower. Wi-Fi ok lack of utensils and crockery. small size hand basin located below bathroom cabinet(not a wash hand basin) difficult to use Uncomfortable basic outside chairs. Hammock in poor condition. No details for tv operation. Hunt the hairdryer, clue behind the microwave. Several items of crockery and utensils had not been washed and had food residue.
- Kimberley (9/5): The studio is a great base to visit the numerous places of interest in the area. Excellent value for money! - Everything! It was a super comfy place to stay. We didn’t want to be around the hustle and bustle of town, it was so lovely and quiet. It was a great base to visit both the Daylesford area, as well as Castlemaine and Bendigo. We loved it! Matt and Hayley were great hosts 😃 It would have been good to have more than one hot plate, but most people visiting probably just enjoy the amazing foodie establishments that are close to the studio 😃
- Raju (7/5): It was average to good - No breakfast given and no internet Better internet reception
The bathroom especially the basin too small
- Tracey (8/5): Very good -
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location out of town, beautiful eco cabin! wonderfully styled and extremely comfortable. I hadn't slept on a bed or pillows this comfy in a long time! Delightful shower pressure also, just the important things! Really lovely short stay.
