• joe lard (10/5): Heaven on earth, with luxury accom to match. - Good comms, this place is unbelievable and the hosts have thought of everything, even the small things like decent appliances, good kitchen utensils, absolutely spotless and just an unbelievable place to stay with views to die for. I honestly think it's the highest quality stay we've had in Australia (lived here 12 years). Nothing negative to say at all, congrats on what you've built here - it's magic. The only downside was we didn't book to stay longer, hope to be back one day.

• Ashley (9/5): Perfect hosts and lovely accommodation - Beautiful bungalows in quiet grounds, left a few treats for our arrival and let us pick fresh herbs from the garden I should have checked before but the beach isn’t a swimming beach and is a 5min drive - stunning and wild when you see it though

• Emma (10/5): Amazing, I want to go back soon. - There was muesli and milk in the fridge, which was delicious. And a big, full box of beautiful Madura teas, which as tea devotees, we were especially pleased with. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you'd need. We used it mainly for breakfast because we dined two nights at The Perch in Laver's Hill - highly recommended! The cottage was spacious, and the views were sensational. We enjoyed watching and listening to the wonderful birdlife that played amongst the stunning gardens. My QLD friend also loved watching the 'adorable' bunny rabbits. My pooch had a great time sniffing hither and thither, and barking at the sweet resident border collies. Johanna Beach is the only dog-friendly beach for miles, and is only a 10min drive away. It was a windy day, with wild skies and sporadic drizzle, and we had the whole beach to ourselves! Magnificent.

• Jayaram (7/5): Great location and stay, absolutely useless unfriendly, apathetic hosts. - Location was outstanding and the cabins were great. The hosts couldn't care less. They prioritized their dinner over paying customers and didn't answer our phone calls also despite saying they would in case we reached after 6 pm. We travel the world and understand that the western world pretty much sucks at customer service compared to India and Asia, but apathetic hosts is unacceptable especially when they charge 5 star rates. What if there is an emergency? Oh no, we want to have our dinner- then don't be in hospitality folks! There was a know on our door at 8:30 pm and there was a drenched German cyclist who couldn't find a lighter to light the fireplace in his cabin! We told him to call the hosts and warned him that they might not answer and don't call back from our experience. Wonder what he did after that!

The apartment was clean, well appointed, quiet, relaxing and the perfect place to return to after a day of sightseeing. It was sad to leave and we will definitely be back It was all perfect
• Anthony (10/5): The atmosphere is fantastic. - Large clean comfortable apartments set in a beautiful (large) garden. There is a panoramic view to the sea (about 5km away) and the forested hills of the Otways. Fresh tasty greens, fruit and herbs available from the property garden. Birdlife was stunning (watch the wedge tail eagles soaring above the valley). Bring some binoculars if you are into birdwatching. The beach at Johanna is wild and rarely suitable for swimming but it is magnificent. Take a drive on the Aire Settlement road to see some mountain ash forest. Nothing.

Sign out the front need to face both ways on The Great Ocean Road. We know you gave us written instructions but hard to find info when you have many emails. Yes, we could have been organised but still feel signage helpful.

• Arjen (8/5): Special place to discover the Great Ocean Road. - Lovely cottage with good amenities for a self catered stay located in a beautiful garden with views towards the ocean. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Fireplace! All good, and the owners are really lovely people. Though there was instant coffee, the spartan breakfast that was included according to Booking only catered for the first morning, whereas we paid for two nights, breakfast included.

Great spa bathtub and cozy wooden cabin feel. Loved the wood-burning stove that added to the cozy ambience.  There was nothing not to like. All amenities and facilities were just perfect.
• Marion (10/5): Blissful Boomerangs - The destination, the wonderful view of our spacious cabin, the furniture was ultra comfortable. Very quiet and amazing bird watching. Friendly greeting by our hosts Roz and her dog , the fabulous Blue. The fire was lit on arrival, so cosy! A very relaxing get away indeed, even with wintry, wet weather. One small suggestion would be to add a second small side table to the sofas as the space to share a table is too far apart.

The property has everything you need. Comfy bed, exceptionally clean with so much thought into making your stay memorable. There is honestly nothing we didn’t like.

Fantastic heating in the bathroom! And a lovely wood stove all set up for you to light. We were passing through for one night only, so didn’t really get to enjoy the views, facilities and ambiance. For a couple (each 2-bedroom bungalow could sleep 2 couples) it was quite expensive for a short stay. Not the properties’ fault - we just weren’t the right kind of traveller on this occasion - it would be lovely for a longer stay and better value for two couples traveling together.
