- Tom (9/5): Everything is basic but it's good for a short stay - Clean and simple. Good location Everything is basic. The bed isn't that comfortable and the sofa bed is not comfortable but for short stays it is fine.
- Georgieff (5/5): - Perfect location
Very clean Blind in bathroom broken
Shower curtain average
No toaster
- Elizabeth (8/5): Fantastic location and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. - This little apartment was very comfortable and clean. The location was the main reason we chose it as it was close to relatives and close to public transport. It was a quick uber trip from the airport and the instructions to find and enter the property were great. My only complaint was that the bathroom blind was broken so neighbours could see in! We had to block it up ourselves. All the other facilities were fine.
- Helen (7/5): Perfect for our needs - Quiet Location. Had everything we needed. Clean and perfect stay for a small family. The kitchen was great. The host replied to questions before the stay, which was helpful. Reviews said the lounge converted to a single bed was not comfortable, but we found both beds absolutely fine. Think the lounge is new... Shower curtain wasn't great and a window shade in the top window of the bedroom would have been nice. Would have liked a toaster. A coffee table would have been useful, but overall, it had all the essentials. The coin-operated washing machine is located on the floor below. Fine for us, but may be an issue for others.
- Guest (4/5): Not comfortable at all for any long stay, maybe doable for short stay for active travellers - Location was great, couch folded out to be more comfortable, the heater was good - mattress was very uncomfortable after the first few days
- kitchen utensils, draws, and pan was dirty when we first arrived - theres only one pan and pot (from a steamer set so the lid doesnt even fit the pot properly)
- sitting at the kitchen bench to eat was very uncomfortable, no space for your legs so we ended up opening kitchen cabinets and eating with out knees in the cabinet space.
- door is hard to open and makes a loud bang, kinda uncomfortable to enter and exit
- the shower is falling apart, spraying water out of a lot of joints and it was very hard to turn the faucets until it stops dripping
- the shower door also doesn't close or open fully, so its hard to get in and out
- the bathroom also had no fan so the walls would get gross and wet after showers even if you cracked open the window
- the bathroom doesn't have many places to hang your clothes or put toiletries.
- couch is uncomfortable as it was, we had to fold it out to make it more comfortable
- Sam (7/5): Great place if you are out and about a lot. Missing some comforts if you were to stay in. - Location was fantastic, short walk to train station and then into city. Lovely area, easy to get to supermarket. Excellent pubs for meals.
Great to have onsite secure parking. Kitchen a little sparse in relation to utensils, crockery etc. No welcome basket, a small milk and teabags, sugar etc would have been nice.
Sofa bed in lounge very uncomfortable. Small coffee table would be great. Shower drips and curtain difficult to close.
- Carolyn (6/5): Great location but the most uncomfortable bed and sofa I've ever seen. - Apartment is in a great area and the apartment complex is reasonably quiet. Apartment was fairly clean and tidy although extremely basic. Appreciated the secure car parking space, although was a challenge to find the fob for the gate. Would only book this apartment again for the location and the car space and I'd bring my own air mattress along. Amenities are the most basic and cheap level items from kmart and Ikea. Two of us were booked in for 5 nights and only one roll of toilet paper was supplied; I had to go out and buy more. The towels are also paper thin and there were only three provided. By the fifth day my towel was soaked and pretty useless. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom so even if it's cold outside you have to have your shower with the window open.
The bed is also very uncomfortable and the bed frame is extremely flimsy. I highly recommend bringing your own pillows as the accomodation ones are super cheap and thin.
The "sofe bed" is the biggest joke of all. Barely able to sit on it as a couch and as a bed it is impossible to sleep on. I almost went out and bought an air mattress. There also isn't really linen provided for someone sleeping on the sofa bed. This issue really needs to be sorted out.
Overall everything just felt very cheap and unconsidered for guests. Shower curtain was zip tied on and the blinds in the bathroom are broken therefore offering no privacy. Bedroom door doesn't fully close and front door gets stuck. A coffee table would be a nice touch to make the living room a more useable space.
Kitchen supplies were a little bit dirty and old. Unsure if the cheap home brand tea packets in the cupboard were left behind from former guests or if thats actually what the owners are providing for the guests. Received no instructions about laundry facilities.
- Roberta (6/5): Pleasant - Excellent location. Host replied straight away. Sofa bed not comfortable. Leaky faucet.
- Jane (7/5): Very pleasant. - Clean. Great location. In the bedroom needs a curtain or blind over the window above the door and the door. Too light early in the morning
- Brad (3/5): Poor - Good location The fold out bed is not suitable for sleeping, super uncomfortable. The tv did not work
- Wilhelmina (5/5): Passable - The view of the gardens was nice, and there weren't too many stairs which was great. Very interesting reading material. Parking area was reasonably secure. Sliding shower door was broken and replaced with a shower curtain that was much too long. I couldn't get the living room fan to work and the sofa bed was horrendously uncomfortable so sleeping in there was awful. The towels and washcloths were disintegrating and left fluff everywhere
- John (8/5): Great location, very comfortable - Location is excellent, proximity to my office and local amenities. Definitely better than staying in a single room hotel, the space provided by the apartment is much more flexible and relaxing.
- Linda (6/5): Overall we would stay there again , great location, just needs a small revamp . - The location for us was fantastic, not far to the city and surrounding family. It’s idea , and not far to walk to Newtown and train station. We booked for 3 people as the sofa is advertised as a sofa bed. I think it’s important if you are advertising it as a sofa bed then you need to make sure it’s relatively comfortable for guests. I literally could not sleep on it , I went to Bunnings and purchased a blow up camp mattress. As a bed it’s a zero , as a couch it’s not much better. I thought the left over jars of food in the cupboard and fridge a bit daunting, the coffee was so old it was solid in the jar. Just something that should be bought to housekeepers attention, also the spare sheet had a giant oil stain that didn’t look good . In the bathroom we found used tube of toothpaste, large bottles of shampoo and conditioner, I think this day and age just individual tubes would be better than using something opened that you have no history of. The door off the bedroom balcony is rotten and the weather we had while we were there just made the door worse.
- Helen (8/5): Great location and good value - Great location. Good value for money. Main facilities were good. The sofa bed was not great - felt rather rickety. We booked for 3 adults so obviously one person would need to sleep on it and it was not really comfortable.
- Treezie (9/5): Superb - Had a wonderful long weekend - thank you! Worked one day with views of a rainy day, jacaranda and cactus out the window :) Wifi was strong and no problem connecting. The apartment was basic (but priced that way). It was clean and comfortable and close to everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
Fantastic location
Tidy and comfortable
Good water pressure in shower
Good communication
Street parking plus access to secure parking
Budget friendly Suited our needs fine and had a wonderful stay... But some people might want to consider
- light comes through a high window in the bedroom without a curtain (no privacy issues - all lower windows have blinds), if you're not a morning person might be an issue (or pack an eye mask)
- it's two people plus a third can crash on the couch rather than comfortably fitting three, bathroom is off the bedroom
- a bit confusing finding the secure parking space but David responded quickly and we got there in the end
- bed was comfy for me but my 6ft4 partner found it a bit small
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wai (5/5): It can be better - Location is close to where I need to go. Neighbourhood are kind and helpful. I m sorry, but it smells like a backpackers. It’s too much…
Shower keeps lacking.
Room door cannot close.
Bed and pillow quality…
The carpet is time to clean.
The window without blind facing the bed. Sunshine early morning waking you up.
Communication is not clear. I still wonder if I didn’t bump into the owner, how could I get the car park gate remote control? I might never find out where I can access to the carpark.
- Jeremy (7/5): Good - Location No instructions for parking, for check out, wifi passwords etc. Had to contact the lesser for those details which is inefficient for me and probably not super pleasant for them.
Partner also found the bed pretty firm/uncomfortable but I found it ok. Place could use some TLC, shower screen is pretty average.
- Justine (2/5): Very poor - The location The journey from parking to the house & the bath tub is inconvenient for old people. There's no washer and dryer in the unit which was misleading from the description. There's only one heater in the whole unit.
- Nicky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thomas (8/5): Very good -
- Lynette (7/5): Met our location and budget requirements - Location, David was great with communication and promptly fixed a TV issue. Bed and sofa bed were uncomfortable. Access was via stairs which had not been made clear in the property description.
- Christina (9/5): Superb -
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raj (10/5): Very nice and cool comfy stay - Location, comfort and convenience of checking in and out
- Bibek (9/5): Superb -
- Ken (8/5): Very good - Central location. I couldn't find a heater!
Neighbour Kids were a tad noisy
- Pizzari (7/5): apartment was lovely and clean. Just a few constructive criticisms… - The location and free parking. Felt safe in the area also. No toaster, stove top was not cleaned. The frying pan that was available was definitely a throw away.
- Renee (7/5): Good -
- Couper (8/5): Very good -
