- Kevin (6/5): - The location of the property is ideal for transport to and from the city centre and Heathrow Airport which was what initially sold me on the property, along with the price.
The surrounding area is fantastic with a few great cafés close by. Tesco Express, Waitrose and CoOp all within 5 minutes walk. West Kensington Underground is right round the corner and Barons Court Underground only 10 minutes walk. The cleanliness of the apartment could do with being upped a lot as it seemed very grotty. The pictures in the profile show a rough idea on what it's supposed to look like but lack of initial set up on arrival was very poor (i.e no towels displayed on beds, no plates on table, no chairs at table, etc). We refused to even go near the balcony as it was extremely dirty, with broken plastic panels surrounding the make-shift awning. The outdated pullout couch had a cigarette burn the size of a teacup which was visible instantly, along with finding the sheets and pillows in a storage box which were disgustingly dirty. The TV is very dated also, not that we used it, but as per usual, gave it a try and it's definitely time to put that in the bin. The staircase (with no guardrail) into the bedroom which is positioned right next to the uncomfortable bed is an accident waiting to happen, as I lost my footing twice climbing in and out of the bed.
For the prices being charged, I would expect the apartment to be atleast kept somewhat modern and better maintained. I have paid less and gotten more in other parts of London, sadly this was an ideal location for us this time.
- Louisa (7/5): Great location but definetly not a modern property. - Great location near to underground stations, shops and great cafes Very small. Would not describe flat or building as modern. Needs some tlc. Burn mark on sofa bed. No bedding for sofa bed. Shower not very powerful. Noise from people walking in upstairs flat woke us every morning. Balcony needs a good clean. Fire alarm went off one morning. Hard to hear from flat and resident on ground floor just turned it off without checking if there was a fire.
- Garyn (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean nice modern premises will definitely return.
- John (9/5): Superb - Location, very close to Tube stations and lots of cafés, food stores etc The area felt safe. Appreciated being able to leave bags in property for a couple of hours after check.out Pre-stay messages thru bookings.com were not answered which was a little worrying though got check in details on the day of arrival
- Mohammed (9/5): Good for a solo traveller - Property was clean, all necessary items were there. Host katya was responsive. Its not i did not like it myself but i just want to caution my fellow travellers and set their expectations correct and know what to expect during their stay
1)Room is at 3rd floor with extremely narrow stairs without any banisters so you have big luggage it will hard to take it up , also not easy if you are overweight,
2) if you are a light sleeper then you will hear constant wood stumping and cranking noise from roof in bedroom of neighbours from floor above you- in short bedroom will be noisy
3) bathrooms is pretty small if you are big guy
4) rooms are not soundproof - you got to be quiet
- Ulrike (8/5): Very good - The location is great however calling this flat modern is stretching it - quaint might be a better term. The location is awesome, Katya was a super responsive host The staircase leading up to the apartment is very narrow. The smell coming from the bathroom (also mentioned in most other reviews) is indeed gross
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Carole (5/5): Don't bother - Kitchen was well equipped. This "very small" apartment was up 3 flights of stairs. This was rather difficult with large suitcases to climb up.
The bathroom gave off a continuous bad smell, which made life unpleasant.
Bed was like sleeping on a rock.
The noise from the upstairs neighbours walking on the floor was constant and kept you awake at night.
The bedroom could do with better block out blinds or curtains. Overall we were very disappointed with this very small apartment for the price we paid. Not recommended.
- Tim (3/5): Poor - It was a postage stamp size not big enough for 2. The balcony was disgusting covered in pigeon dropping if I was staying more than 2 days I would have probably thrown myself off that balcony
- Wayne (6/5): Pleasant - The bed If you have luggage good luck with that getting that to the flat. Good luck getting shower going.
- Wei-hung (6/5): The shower room is bad, the water coming device is broken -
- Sumitra (10/5): Exceptional - Nice area, and nice apartment
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (7/5): Good -
